• Modern feminism taught women they don’t need anyone. Now millions are facing life alone, exhausted, emotionally burnt out, and quietly longing for the safety of a healthy masculine presence.

Modern feminism told women they don’t need a man. Now many are overworked, overwhelmed, and emotionally drained

Facing life alone while pretending as if everything is ok.

    But deep down?

They’re craving rest, safety, and the calm that only healthy masculinity can provide.

The truth is, a real man doesn’t compete with a woman; he covers her.

And a real woman doesn’t lose her strength by needing a man; she multiplies it.

Independence is powerful. But partnership builds empires and legacies.

I will never be a modern feminist. My mother submitted to my father; I will submit to my MAN.

  • To the Leadership of University of Calabar

For students who have invested 7-8 years of their lives, many now in their final year, this directive to withdraw is not just disheartening; it is deeply unjust.

Education is a contract built on trust: when a student commits time, effort, and money, the institution must keep its end of the bargain. These students did not over-admit themselves. They did not set the quotas. They did not create this crisis. These actions are of the school!

It is unfair and frankly unacceptable to push the burden of a broken system onto young people who have only done what they were told would secure their future.

I hope the University of Calabar rethinks this decision and finds a fair solution that doesn’t dump the weight on young people who’ve already given so much.

Let’s do better. These students and Nigeria deserve better.

Nigeria depends on the strength of its institutions.

  • *OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

    *DATE: FRIDAY, JULY 11TH, 2025*

    *THEME: PHYSICAL EXERCISE IS PROFITABLE*

    *MEMORISE:*
*“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” - (1 Timothy 4:8)*

    *READ: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV)*

    19. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

    20. For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

    *MESSAGE:*
Today's memory verse tells us that the profit from spiritual exercise - which is godliness - far outweighs that of physical exercise but also implies that the little profit from physical exercise cannot be gained from spiritual exercise. To function excellently in this physical realm, you need your body to be active and healthy, hence the need for physical exercise. If you ignore the little profit from physical exercise, no matter how godly you are, you just may shorten your lifespan here on earth by yourself.

Many people today want to live a soft life. They do not want to engage in things that will stress their bodies or stretch their muscles. They want life to be soft and easy, even though the Bible says that we should endure hardness as good soldiers of Christ *(2 Timothy 2:3).* You need to be in good physical shape to do the things that God put you on the earth to do. Therefore, you should always find time to exercise your body so that you can remain physically fit for God's use.

Nowadays, a lot of people are living endangered lives because they do not exert themselves physically. They move from airconditioned rooms in their houses to airconditioned cars and then airconditioned offices. Many people will not even attend a church without air conditioning. However, doctors advise that it is important to sweat. It is also important to stay under the sun for a while every day, especially around midday, because sunlight has tremendous qualities that are good for the body. Personally, I exert myself physically by going on prayer walks regularly. The walks help me to stay in good shape physically, while the prayers help me to maintain good spiritual health.

Beloved, God cares about the health of your body *(3 John 1:2).* He cares about how you treat the container that He has given to you to enable you to fulfil your purpose on earth. Regular exercise will help you manage your weight, and it will help strengthen your bones and muscles. It will also reduce your risk of getting sick and improve your ability to perform your daily activities effectively. Regular exercise will also improve your mental health. If you have a job that requires you to sit for long periods of time, or if you work from your home, physical exercise must be part of your daily routine. Do not let your desire for a soft lifestyle shorten your lifespan.

    *ACTION POINT:*
Kickstart a regular physical exercise routine today if you do not have one.

    *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:*
    Ecclesiastes 5-8

    *AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE*

    *HYMN 7 - I AM THINE O LORD*

    1. I am Thine, O Lord
    I have heard Thy voice,
    And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

    *CHORUS:*
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To Thy precious, bleeding side.

    2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord
By the power of grace divine
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

    3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

    4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
    Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

  • *THE RESTORER'S DAILY GUIDE*

    DATE: FRIDAY 11TH JULY 2025

    THEME: *PRAY FOR NIGERIA*

    MEMORISE
    Ezekiel 22:30
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

    READ
    Ezekiel 22:24-30
Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.
There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.
Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.
Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.
And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.
The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.
And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

    THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
*When the wicked rules, people mourn.*

    MESSAGE
In the last three years, our country has gone from bad to worse. Considering the rising tempo of happenings within the nation, it is clear that war is imminent if nothing is done to reverse the negative present state of things.
According to our text today, when the leaders in a nation are corrupt and wicked before the Lord, we can only expect sorrows.

The Bible says: "When the wicked rules, the people mourn."

Nigeria has been mourning and groaning for some time now, and I think it grew worse since this regime stepped into power. Things have not been the same.

Unemployment, hardships, hunger, and worse still the killings of innocent farmers whose only hope of sustenance is their farm produce calls for serious prayers and fasting.
For a nation whose economy depends largely on agriculture to watch farmers being killed, it shows that the nation is on the verge of collapsing economically and otherwise.

Beloved, we cannot continue to pretend that all is well with our nation. We must all rise up and pray for this country. We need to ask God to step into the affairs of this nation as He had done in history.

Let it be known that He rules in the affairs of men. Daniel 4:17.

People with burden and concerns must arise and weep for Nigeria and our leaders. We need God now more than ever before.

We need to ask God to send mighty angels into the camp of the enemies of God's purpose for Nigeria. God used His angels to judge the enemies of His people in history. Exodus 12:13,23. 2Kings 19:35,
God sent His angels to judge evil leaders in history. Acts 12:23. This is the time for us to call upon our God to answer us by fire.

    ACTION STEPS
    1. Plead for God's mercy upon Nigeria. Ask God to forgive the sins of all Nigerians and her leaders.
    2. Pray that God will remove evil leaders from the throne and replace them with those who will do His will in this nation.
    3. Ask God to send His mighty angels to defend the cause of the oppressed and fight for the restoration of Nigeria's glory.

    PRAYERS
Dear heavenly Father, Thank you for today's devotional guide. Oh God of hosts, deliver Nigeria from the hands of evil men and women and let your counsel concerning us as a nation be established in Jesus' name. Amen.

    REMEMBER
*When the wicked rules, people mourn.*

    AUTHOR: JEDIDIAH DAVID

    DAILY READING: Ecclesiastes 7-8, 2Thess 1-2.

    HYMN
A mighty fortress is our God,
    A bulwark never failing :
Our Helper He, amid the flood
    Of mortal ills prevailing.
    For still our ancient foe
    Doth seek to work his woe ;
His craft and power are great,
And armed with cruel hate "
On earth is not his equal.

    2
Did we in our own strength confide,
    Our striving would be losing,
Were not the right Man on our side,
The Man of God's own choosing.
Dost ask who that may be ?
Christ Jesus, it is He !
    Lord Sabaoth is His name,
From age to age the same :
And He must win the battle.

    3
And though this world, with devils
    filled,
    Should threaten to undo us:
We will not fear; for God hath willed
His truth to triumph through us.
    Let goods and kindred go,
    This mortal life also ;
The body they may kill :
    God's truth abideth still,
    His Kingdom is for ever.

  • FROM THE HEART OF ALUFA IPENKO *

*Guard Your Silence, Protect Your Peace*

    Good morning, dear friends.

In a world where smiles are often masks and listening ears are not always loyal, wisdom teaches us to guard our words and protect our peace. Not every friendly face means well, and not every confidant knows how to keep trust sacred.

You may trust your closest friend today, but remember—they too have friends, and those friends may not carry your interests in their hearts. What you whisper in confidence could travel farther than you ever imagined, not always through betrayal, but sometimes through careless hearts and thoughtless conversations.

Trust is fragile—beautiful when honoured, painful when broken. Even those who love you may, without meaning harm, let your secrets slip into places you never intended.

Silence is not a weakness; it is strength wrapped in wisdom. The wise understand that some treasures of the heart are safest when kept private. Speak when necessary, share when safe, and hold close what your peace cannot afford to lose.

Let your life this week be guided by discernment. Trust—but not blindly. Love—but guard your heart. Speak—but measure your words.

May this Monday open doors of clarity, strength, and quiet victories. And as you journey through the week, remember: Not every truth needs a voice, and not every secret deserves an audience.

*The quieter you become, the more you can hear -* *

I wish you a peaceful and purposeful week ahead.

*The quieter you become, the more you can hear -* * I wish you a peaceful and purposeful week ahead. AT BRICS SUMMIT, PRESIDENT TINUBU CALLS FOR REEVALUATION OF GLOBAL GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE, FINANCE AND HEALTH CARE SYSTEMS

President Bola Tinubu has called for a reevaluation of the current global governance structure and the financial and healthcare systems, urging greater equity and inclusion for low-income and emerging economies, particularly in Africa.

At the 17th meeting of the Global South and the Emerging Economies bloc, BRICS, on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the President stated that environmental degradation, the climate crisis, and healthcare inequalities should receive more attention, as they contribute to slowing growth and development.

President Tinubu, invited to the summit by Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, stated that Nigeria supports the BRICS position on the need to focus on collective, fair, and equitable global development.

Nigeria became the ninth partner country of BRICS in January 2025, joining Belarus, Bolivia, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda, and Uzbekistan. The 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan in October 2024 created the partner-country category.

President Tinubu said, "Nigeria, therefore, associates with what I have heard today and all that has happened in BRICS. The next issues are financial restructuring and reevaluation of the global structure."

He noted that environmental degradation, climate crisis, and global healthcare inequalities were shared concerns pertinent to Africa.

"Africa has contributed the least to global emissions but suffers the most," he added.

President Tinubu emphasised the need for a new path of justice, anchored in fairness, sustainable technology transfer, and accessible financing, so that emerging economies can fully benefit from various initiatives.

"The African continent is creating the path through the African Carbon Market Initiative and the Great Green Wall. We believe that COP-30 will strengthen our resolve to adopt a strategic approach to achieving a healthy global environment.

"Nigeria strongly believes in South-South cooperation. We can, therefore, not be passive participants in global decision-making on financial restructuring, debt forgiveness, climate change, environmental issues, and healthcare.

"We must be the architects of a future that addresses the specific needs and concerns of youths, who represent 70 per cent of our population in Nigeria. Therefore, Nigeria remains guided by our long-term vision, 2050, and nationally determined contribution.

"We are taking bold steps to accelerate renewable energy adoption, mainstream climate action, promote nature-based solutions, strengthen urban resilience, champion South-South cooperation, align with the global renewal framework and achieve universal health coverage for all," the President stated.

President Tinubu also said that addressing non-communicable diseases must remain a collective health concern.

"As we approach COP-30 and look to strengthen the global health system, we believe the BRICS must not only be a bloc for emerging economies but also a beacon for emerging solutions and resolutions rooted in solidarity, self-reliance, sustainability, and shared prosperity of a common future.

"Nigeria reaffirms its commitment to strategic collaboration that translates into sustainable and inclusive development for all," he noted.

Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance, accompanied the President to the summit.

In exercising its pro tempore presidency of BRICS, the Brazilian government announced Nigeria's formal admission as a partner country on January 17, 2025.

As the world's sixth-most populous country and one of Africa's major economies, Nigeria shares convergent interests with other BRICS members.

Nigeria plays an active role in strengthening South-South cooperation and reforming global governance, which are top priorities during Brazil's current presidency.
