    Florida is using robot rabbits to fight invasive pythons in the Everglades!

    Researchers at the University of Florida built plush decoys with heaters, motors, and sensors to mimic real rabbits, a favorite python snack.

    The goal is to lure the snakes out of hiding without using live animals. If visuals and heat don't work, they’ll even add real rabbit scent next.

    This is part of a bigger plan to control the python problem, including GPS-tagged scout snakes, thermal imaging, and public hunts.
