Cast your burden unto the Lord (Psalm 55:22 and 1 Peter 5:7)
Beloved, the Lord invites us into divine rest not through striving, but through surrender. "Cast your burden unto the Lord, and He shall sustain you." This is not a suggestion; it is a holy promise! Whatever weight you carry—whether it be fear, grief, confusion, or weariness the Lord, mighty and merciful, is ready to lift it from your shoulders.
He is not overwhelmed by what burdens you. He is not distant. He does not grow tired or impatient. Our God is near to the brokenhearted, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness. When you cast your burdens upon Him, you are not casting them into the void—you are placing them into the hands of the One who conquered death, who calmed the storm, and who knows you by name.
Today, exalt Him not just with your praise, but with your trust. Exalt Him by refusing to carry what He already bore on the cross. Exalt Him by declaring, “Lord, I release it all to You!” He is faithful. He will sustain you. He will not allow the righteous to be moved.
So lift your eyes, lift your hands, lift your voice and lay down your burdens. Your Deliverer lives, and He reigns forever.
