• "All Fingers Are Not Equal—A Mental Health Lesson for Nigerians"

In the picture attached, 3 measuring tapes are placed side by side. All are meant to measure the same thing—but look closely. The starting points are not aligned. Even though they are designed for the same purpose, their results will always differ because they don’t start from the same place.

This image teaches us a powerful life lesson, especially about mental health and personal struggles.

The Nigerian Reality: The Pressure of Comparison:

In Nigeria today, people constantly compare themselves with others.

"My mate has built a house; why haven’t I?"

"She has two cars, and I’m still trekking."

"Look at his business booming, and mine is crawling."

We forget that everyone's starting point is different. Just like the measuring tapes in the picture, some people start life with better opportunities, resources, or support systems, while others face setbacks from day one.

    Mental Health and Silent Battles:

Many Nigerians suffer silently because of these unfair comparisons. They fall into depression, anxiety, or self-doubt, forgetting that:

Some people are battling illnesses you can’t see.

Some are healing from emotional wounds you don’t know about.

Some are fighting family problems, financial hardships, or traumas quietly.

Key Message: “All Fingers Are Not Equal”
Just like fingers on the hand, no two lives are the same.

    Accept your journey.

Don’t measure your success with someone else’s ruler.

Focus on personal growth, not competition.

Seek help when you’re mentally overwhelmed. (It’s not weakness—it’s wisdom.)

    A Call to Action

    Dear Nigerians, let’s normalize:

Talking about mental health without shame.

    Supporting each other without judgment.

Understanding that life’s measurements are never the same for everyone.

Remember, the goal is progress, not perfection.
Be kind to yourself. Your race is unique.

  • OBI AT A CROSSROADS: Is This the End of the Obidient Dream?

Walaata Papers has been tracking the political missteps of Mr. Peter Obi, and things are becoming even more chaotic.

The opposition coalition has now issued a stern warning to the former Labour Party presidential candidate, warning him not to abandon the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the 2027 elections.

Why? Because leaving the coalition might not just be a simple move—it could mark the end of Obi’s political trajectory.

Let’s get real. Obi is reportedly uncomfortable with the direction of the coalition, especially now that it appears he may only be offered a Vice Presidential ticket—a position far beneath his ambition. Is this the real reason he’s thinking of walking out?

But where does he go from here? Remember, Atiku is still a looming force in the PDP, and everyone knows he won’t let Obi win the primaries. So was the Labour Party exit premature? Is the ADC move already crumbling?

His constant party-hopping—from APGA to PDP to Labour and now flirting with ADC—has begun to damage his credibility. Once seen as a principled reformer, many now fear he’s turning into just another self-serving politician.

ADC insiders like Comrade Abayomi Bello are already sounding the alarm:
“If Obi ditches this coalition just because he doesn’t get the presidential ticket, he risks total political isolation. Nigerians will stop seeing a visionary—they’ll see a man obsessed with power.”

Even the youth who once believed in the Obidient wave are growing disillusioned.
Where’s the consistency? Where’s the leadership? Where’s the plan?

Peter Obi needs to decide—is he building a nation or chasing a title?

Our take? The earlier Obi makes up his mind on what he truly wants, the better for what’s left of the Obidient movement.

Are you still Obidient? Or have you finally seen the signs?
    Drop your thoughts below!
Tag your friends, repost, and let’s break the silence!
Is Obi still the answer in 2027 or has he lost the plot?

  • DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY DEVOTIONAL FOR 15TH JULY, 2025 BY DR PAUL ENENCHE

TOPIC: LIVING WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW

SCRIPTURE: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night… 2 PETER 3:9-10.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The end of earthly life on earth is the beginning of an endless life in eternity.

Genesis 1:27 makes it clear that man is an eternal being made in the Image and Likeness of an eternal God. The meaning of that is, everyone you see will live forever. To further buttress this, James 4:14 reveals that man’s life on earth is a temporary adventure, just a fraction of man’s overall life.

So, man’s life on earth is a temporary adventure. This implies that the end of earthly life is the beginning of an endless life in eternity. (Daniel 12:2). And it is to in 8 to to to either an everlasting life with God in Heaven or an everlasting contempt with satan in hell. The truth is, God does not desire for anyone to be lost in hell; rather, He desires for people to live with Him forever in heaven after their sojourn in the earth. In other words, God is not looking for whom to send to hell.

It is possible to hear some messages that sounds as if God’s satisfaction is how many people can end in hell. Scriptures make it clear that hell was not created for man (Matthew 25:41). Hell was prepared for the devil and his angels. It is only those who reject Christ and decide to end with the devil that will follow him to hell.66y But the point is, God has no desire for the loss of any soul (2 Peter 3:8-9).

Now, wisdom demands that we pay attention to our eternal destination, the place where we will spend the bulk of our lives.

That is why today, we are looking at what it means to live with eternity in view.

    1. It is living in the present with the end in mind. Living in the present with the end in perspective (1Peter 4:7). You are alive today, but the end is in your mind.

    2. It means living and conducting our life’s actions with eternity as a major consideration. Ecclesiastes 12:13 says, Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter, fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of a man. For God shall bring every work into judgment with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.

Everything we do on the earth has eternal consequences.

    3. It means living in the now with readiness and preparedness for eternity. That is, you are not trying to get prepared; you are living prepared (Matthew 25:13, Matthew 24:44-45).

    4. It is living as strangers and pilgrims on the earth. This is living with the full knowledge that this world is not our home (1 Peter 2:11).

    5. It is living in the world without forgetting yourself in the world. Living in the world without forgetting your eternal and heavenly citizenship (Philippians 3:20).

Beloved, don’t forget yourself in this world because one day, the curtains of eternity shall be drawn, and the world shall end.

Remember this: The end of earthly life is the beginning of endless life in eternity.

    ASSIGNMENT(S):
    1. Live ready in anticipation of Christ’s coming. Keep your spiritual temperature high.

    2. Refuse to live in sin

    3. Ask God for mercy if you have erred and make amends.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to live on earth as a pilgrim. I refuse to conform to the pattern of this world. Draw me closer to You Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
