SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT.
A sense of entitlement is a belief that one deserves certain privileges, benefits, or treatment without necessarily having earned them. This mindset can manifest in several ways, such as expecting special treatment, feeling owed something, or believing that rules don't apply.

EFFECTS OF A SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT.
1. STRAINED RELATIONSHIP: It can lead to unrealistic expectations and demands on others, causing friction and conflict in personal and professional relationships.
2 LACK OF EMPATHY: Individuals with a sense of entitlement may struggle to understand and respect others perspectives, needs, and feelings.
3. POOR WORK ETHICS: It can lead to a lack of motivation and a tendency to expect rewards or recognition without putting in the necessary efforts.
4. UNREALISTIC EXPECTATION: It can create unrealistic expectations about what one deserves or should receive, leading to disappointment and frustration when these expectations are not met.
5. NARCISSISTIC TENDENCIES: It can be a characteristic of narcissistic personality disorder, which can have more severe consequences.

OVERCOMING A SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT.
1. SELF-REFLECTION: Recognise and acknowledge your own sense of entitlement.
2. EMPATHY: Practice understanding and respect others perspectives and needs.
3. GRATITUDE: Focus on appreciating what you have rather than expecting more.
4. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY: Take ownership of your actions and efforts.
5. REALISTIC EXPECTATION: Develop realistic expectations about what you deserve and what others can provide.

ADVICE: Be yourself, don't expect too much from others.

A lawyer sold his well to a teacher. Two days later, the lawyer came to the teacher and said, "Sir, I sold you the well, but it's not with the water inside! If you want to use the water, you will have to pay extra."

The teacher smiled and replied, "Yes, I was about to come to you. I was going to say that you should please take your water from my well, or else you will have to start paying rent of keeping your water in my well from tomorrow because I only need the well but not the water inside.
