Child Curfews Rolled Out in French Cities Battling Narco-Violence Night curfews for children are expanding in French cities as drug violence spreads beyond Marseille. In Nîmes, a new 9pm-to-6am curfew follows a series of deadly shootings and a gruesome murder. Mayors say young teens are being exploited by drug networks and must be protected. However, local leaders in Limoges and Béziers acknowledge enforcement challenges. Meanwhile, the French government has launched a sweeping crackdown, opening high-security jails for drug lords and boosting prosecutorial powers.
