16TH WEEK - ORDINARY TIME, YEAR C

*Gosp.* : Mtt. 13:1-9.
*Message:* *LEAVING BEHIND OUR OLD LIFE OF SIN IS NEVER EASY AND COMES WITH LOTS OF SACRIFICES. WE NEED COURAGE AND DETERMINATION TO EMBRACE THE NEW.* _The lsraelites want a new life, they want to be free, they want to leave the life of slavery in Egypt but saying goodbye to their old and familiar way is difficult. Old habits die hard. They do not want to leave their comfort zone. They do not want to embrace the pain and sacrifices that come with change and growth. They want to return to Egypt. So, too, we have preferred to return tomour 'Egypt', that comfortable life of sin because we did not want the inconvenience of embracing the new._
