To enjoy financial freedom while the household runs on someone else’s back? Working should come with purpose, and part of that purpose—especially in a home—is to support each other, not just yourself. Let’s be real—being in a relationship or marriage means sharing responsibilities. You can’t talk about partnership and then leave all the financial burden to one person. It’s easy to quote equality when it benefits us, but true partnership means pulling weight where it counts, including finances. If the home is running on just one person’s effort while the other watches comfortably from the sidelines, we’re not building together—we’re coexisting separately. And that’s not partnership.
