    "Through God's Eyes"

    If you could see others through God's eyes, what a different world this would be. Imagine if you could see the reason behind the actions of people that are so irritating, such as that person who just cut in line might not be so annoying if you knew the urgency of why they did so, or you might have more empathy with the postman that never smiles if you knew the personal pain he was suffering. Then there's the grouchy sales lady at the grocery store, I'm sure you wouldn't be so offended if you knew her rent was overdue and she was working three jobs to keep her family fed. The list is endless, but the analogy is obvious. We need to pray for more love in our hearts, for our fellow man. We are too quick to judge, lay blame and criticize. We all ask God for grace and mercy, but few are willing to extend that same grace and mercy to others. If we truly want our fellow man to see Jesus in us, it starts with sharing His love. The next time someone does something that tempts you to explode in anger, stop and pray. Lord, give me patience and love for this person. Allow me to see them through your eyes. When you look at people with God's perspective. The world looks a whole lot clearer. Text: Luke 21:19, Colossians 3:13, Ephesians 4:2

    Bible Texts:

    Luke 21:19 KJV - In your patience possess ye your souls.

    Colossians 3:13 KJV - Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye.

    Ephesians 4:2 KJV - With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

  • The Lord in His providence brought His servants, Daniel, Nehemiah, Ezra, face to face with kings and rulers, that these idolaters might have an opportunity to receive the light. Thus the work which God had given His people to do in prosperity, in their own borders, but which had been neglected through their unfaithfulness, was done by them in captivity, under great trial and embarrassment.
