Here are 15 lies you should stop believing about Church weddings: 1. It Must Be on a Saturday ❌ Not true. You can get married on any day of the week. In fact, the traditional wedding day used to be Thursday — hence the name “Wednesday” (i.e., Wed the next day). Your wedding is not about the day but the covenant. 2. It Must Be Inside the Church Auditorium ❌ You don’t have to wed at the altar or sanctuary. A pastor’s office, a chapel, or even a simple hall can host your church wedding, as long as it’s officiated properly before witnesses. 3. You Must Wear a White Gown ❌ White is a tradition, not a commandment. You can wear native attire, modest colors, or even a family dress style. Purity is a heart condition, not fabric color. 4. He said, "Take a step! Go and demand for that job. Take a step! Some individuals are due for marriage. Fear, intimidation, he can't talk to a woman. What is in it? 'I want to marry you' Simple. *God Honors Those Who Fear Him* Psalm 147:11 The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy. In 1996, an entire village in Thailand became Christians after a miraculous answer to prayers for rain. For many years, a local missionary named Lun Poobuanak had labored among the Buddhists and animists in Kalasin Province of Thailand. Though he widely preached the Gospel, he hardly saw any conversions among the people. In 1994, a devastating drought plagued this rich agricultural region. As crops failed, anxiety and fear mounted among the villagers. These people who had previously rejected Lun’s message finally came to seek a solution from him. They came to him with a desperate request, they said that if his God would send rain, they would all turn to Christ. Lun accepted the challenge, knowing that “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). He then gathered the few members of the Church to fast and pray for a number of days. On the fourth day of this prayer, there was a miraculous answer as the heavens opened and it began to rain. A torrential downpour filled the rice fields. Lun proved that God still answers by fire and miracles. As a result of this, a revival broke out and, as promised, every household accepted Christ. This amazing story was widely reported by many Christian media outlets. Truly, The Lord takes pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy. When you honor God by faithfully proclaiming His Word, He honors you with miracles, signs, and wonders. We live in a world groaning under the weight of problems and crises. But those who fear the Lord are empowered to be solution providers. Christianity is not a religion of form—it is the life of God in action. As Apostle Paul said in 1Corinthians 2:4, My speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. God wants to demonstrate His power through us to the world. But for that to happen, we must walk in divine alignment to His will. For some of us today, God is waiting for our obedience to unlock miracles through us. His power freely manifests where He is feared and honored, and “those that honor Me, I will honor” (1 Samuel 2:30). Today, let us make a fresh commitment to honor the Lord with greater awe and fervency. Ukraine's Massive Drone Attacks on Russia Has Forced Closure of All Major Airports in Moscow According to a report by the BBC News on Sunday 20 July, 2025, a wave of Ukrainian drone assaults prompted temporary shutdowns of all major airports in Moscow over the weekend, grounding over 140 flights and forcing more than 130 diversions, Russian aviation authorities reported. Russia’s Ministry of Defence confirmed that since Saturday morning, its forces intercepted over 230 drones across various regions, with 27 reportedly neutralized in Moscow's airspace alone. The Kaluga region, southwest of the capital, also experienced significant disruption after 45 drones were intercepted, prompting a temporary closure of Kaluga International Airport. Tourism officials indicated that Moscow’s airports faced ten closures within 24 hours, underscoring the scale and frequency of the aerial threats. Despite the turmoil, normal operations have since resumed across the affected airports. Elsewhere, Ukrainian officials reported that Russian air raids killed at least three civilians overnight.
