  • I WAS A BOY BUT I WAS READING THE BOOK: “THE MAN GOD USES” AND I CAUGHT FIRE FROM MATTHEW 6:33.

IN 1976, GOD REVEALED THE JACKPOT OF LIFE TO ME. I EMBRACED IT AND SIGNED THE COVENANT WITH HIM.

I HAD NO CALLING TO MINISTRY BUT MY HEART KEPT PANTING FOR GOD LIKE NEVER BEFORE.

WHEN GOD BECOMES YOUR ALL IN ALL, YOU'RE SET FOR ACCESS TO THE TOPMOST TOP IN LIFE.

GOD KNOWS WHETHER WE ARE IN LOVE WITH HIM OR NOT. LET'S STOP PLAYING GAMES.

    - Bishop David Oyedepo on UNVEILING THE BREAKTHROUGH POWER OF LOVE (2A) at Covenant Day Of Marital Breakthrough Service || 13th July 2025 || Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland|| First Sunday Service || Part C

David, the lover, was a marvel. They couldn't find anyone in that family to be enthroned than to send it to a young boy that was keeping the sheep. Church Gist. A marvel. Psalm 71:7. Every true lover is made a wonder unto many.

-That's how the world will start wondering about you.

David, the lover, was a wonder unto many but God was his refuge, a strong refuge. That is the lot of every lover. “Eyes have not seen.” That's a wonder. “Ears have not heard.” That's a wonder. 1 Chronicles 28:4. “I won His favour by my heart for Him. He liked me to make me king.” Church Gist. People like you, that's okay but when God likes you, it shows. “He liked me.” “I've found a man after my own heart.” “He found me with a heart for Him, He liked me and made me king.”

-He would make something out of your life.

Interestingly, God knows whether we are in love with Him or not. Let's stop playing games, God knows. Jeremiah 17:9-10. God knows whether we are truly in love with Him or not. “They draw near Me with their mouth but their heart is far from Me.” Church Gist. God knows whether we are truly in love with Him or not. Isaiah 29:13. 1 Corinthians 8:3. God knows whether you are in love or not. He knows whether I am in love or not. God knows! No hiding place.

-As we partake of this Communion today, may everyone's heart turn fully back to God.

John 8:29. Now, not only God knows. So, everybody knows what is in him. Nobody else may (know) but you should know, I should know. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10. Church Gist. So your spirit knows what is in you: “Am I truly in love or am I just putting up a show?” Now, Jesus now came down and clarified it. “By their fruits, you shall know them.” Matthew 7:16-20.

-From now, it would be clear to the world around you that you are genuinely in love with God.

This is so important, this is so vital. I found myself in it. (In) 1976, He revealed the jackpot of life to me. I embraced it and signed the Covenant with Him. I had no calling to ministry but my heart kept panting for God like never before. That's why I brought the books for the month for you. Church Gist. It was through the Book of Oswald J. Smith that the love for God caught fire in my soul. The Book is titled: “The Man God Uses.” I was a boy but I was reading the Book of “the Man” and I caught fire from Matthew 6:33. You know what? When you connect anointed resources, the Spirit of the source enters into you.

    -It's time to connect!

You can't read “Passion For Souls” and not catch fire for passion for the lost. “Wonders of Kingdom Stewardship”, you can't get tired of pursuing after God if you catch what is in it. Church Gist. “Following The Path Of The Eagles”, you have no choice because if you don't follow His leadings you are going nowhere. This is the way to go. And “Ruling Your World.” These materials will help to steer up a new wavelength in your walk with God.

    What is love?
Love for God in our context implies the following:
    1. Placing God above all else including yourself.
Luke 14:26. The word ‘hatred’ there is just a relative word. Church Gist. You don't love Me more than you love your father, your mother and yourself; you'll be limited. When God becomes your all in all, you're set for access to the topmost top in life.

    2. A Kingdom-priority lifestyle.
Matthew 6:32. I guarantee you Jesus said, if you seek first the interest of My Kingdom, the advancement of My Kingdom, all these things that others are dying to get shall be added to you. Church Gist. What an adventure. Job 1:8. Job 13:15. Yes, he was challenged but he gloriously triumphed. The latter end of Job was brighter, far brighter than before.

-You may have been challenged, you are coming out!

If you retain your love, you will emerge more than a conqueror. Romans 8:35-37. Every true lover emerges more than a conqueror from every battle.

  • SOME PEOPLE SEIZED OUR PROPERTY IN ANOTHER NATION THROUGH A STRONG MAFIA.

BUT GOD GAVE US VICTORY! THE PROPERTY IS NOW READY FOR DEDICATION.

WHO WOULD BELIEVE THAT WE WERE ONCE ONLY FOUR IN THIS CHURCH?

IN THE RACE OF LIFE, THERE IS NO CHAMPION WITHOUT CHALLENGES.

    - Bishop David Oyedepo on UNVEILING THE BREAKTHROUGH POWER OF LOVE (2A) at Covenant Day Of Marital Breakthrough Service || 13th July 2025 || Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland|| First Sunday Service || Part D

Every true lover of Jesus emerges more than a conqueror in every battle if he sustains his love for God. The problem now is, people are challenged and they disconnect from God. Now, who will help them? Their challenges manipulated them to disconnect from God their Helper, so where will there help come? Church Gist. Job stayed through and came through. Isaiah 43:2. There is no champion in the race of life without challenges. Champions are made out of challenges. It's like a student crying during an exam, they say why, he says "Exam, exam has come. (crying)" You know that's a problem. Genesis 22:1. He (Abraham) passed the test.

Now, who would believe here that this Church was once 4 and then 6 and then 10, all kinds of things along the line, but no disconnection, no disconnect. You see us celebrating 10 people, you'll be wondering, are they mad? No disconnect. Total income of this Ministry 1984 for the whole year was 18,000 plus. Church Gist. You have heard that too many times. No need to say, 'It should have been working now' Are you the one to set the exam? How can you set the exam and be marking it yourself? Yet, I've signed a Covenant of Love since 1976. I heard a call in a broad vision 1981 and He said go ahead to Church ministry, 1983 and the Church is crawling 1984, yet the love is burning. Wake up my friend, wake up!

    - Somebody's story is changing.

Don't let challenges cower you. You're in command. With the love of God at work in your heart, you're in command. Don't let challenges cower you. Church Gist. You're in command with the love of God in your heart. Every true lover of Jesus emerges more than a conqueror from every battle. You can't kill love. Songs of Solomon 8:7.

    - Somebody's story is changing.
    - May your love remain unbreakable.
    - May your love for God remain unbreakable.
    - May your own love for God remain unbreakable.

What is in love that engenders breakthrough? Please, listen.

    1. Our love for God enhances access to revelation. Every true lover of God accesses revelation without stress. Revelation is not a product of mental exertion. Deuteronomy 29:29. Genesis 18:17. "Abraham, come. The cry of Sodom and Gomorrah has ascended to me and I've come here to destroy them" I mean, your love for God and my love for God makes us His confidant. Church Gist. He confides in us, He unveils to us what others may not access. John 15:15. Revelation flows like a river in the life of true lovers of Jesus. It flows like a river, revelation flows like a river and what is it? Behind every supernatural turnaround is access to revelation. Isaiah 60:1-3. So, when you are in love, you gain natural access to revelations. You are not struggling, when you take your Bible, light flows. Church Gist. You take a book to read, light, wow! Because you are in love. Thank you, Jesus. 2 Corinthians 3:18. Revelation changes our stories from one level of glory to another.

    2. Love empowers our faith to deliver maximally. Why? Faith works by love. Our faith will deliver to the level of our love for God. 1 Corinthians 13:1,2. So, it is the quality of our love for God that defines the delivery of our faith. Church Gist. The quality of our love for God is what determines the outcome of our faith. All this is God showing us love is the master key to all-round breakthroughs in life. Amen.

    3. Love facilitates answers to our prayers. When you are truly in love with God, you will hate to toy with what displeases God and that gives express access to our prayers. Isaiah 59:1,2. Psalm 66:18,19. When we turn from whatever God hates, line of access in prayer is opened. Church Gist. David committed a grevious sin but he repented and now verily, God has heard him. Every true lover is fast at repentance. Thank you Jesus. That blind man said, "I know that know God heareth not the prayer of sinners. I know. Whether I be a sinner or not, I know not. Once I was blind, now I can see. But I know God heareth not sinners." When you are in love, you are all out to want to please Him at all times.

    4. Finally, Love enhances access to wisdom from above. Paul the Lover was acknowledged by the Apostles as a man of wisdom. Romans 8:35-37. 2 Peter 3:15. The Apostle recognised him as a man of wisdom. He is in love. You know, when you are in love, you dwell in God and God in you and our God is the only wise God, now He lives in you. Church Gist. So, you have the right answer. Many times, silence is the best answer for victory. Praise God! Silence is the best answer for victory. There was a year we had an issue in a particular nation where through a strong mafia, they seized our property and had a court judgement that we are not the owner of the property and so, they called me and I said, God is big enough to defend Himself. No mention, no nothing, silence. No contact with anybody under Heaven. Silence! And God stood up to it. Now the property is ready for dedication. Church Gist. Glorious victory! I saw the picture this last week of the new structure we are building there. God fought the battle like no man else can. He fought and won the battle in grand style. There was no contact with anybody. God stood in there. The wisdom of God is a mighty weapon of war.

  • EVIL FORCES BEHIND THE SCENES HAVE HELD MARITAL DESTINIES IN CAPTIVITY.

SERVING GOD ABOVE ALL OTHERS ENTITLES US TO DIVINE HONOUR.

PURSUIT OF GOD GIVES ACCESS TO FAVOUR FROM GOD.

MARRIAGE IS A GOOD THING AND EVERY GOOD THING IS OUR ENTITLEMENT IN CHRIST.

    - Bishop David Oyedepo on UNVEILING THE BREAKTHROUGH POWER OF LOVE (2A) at Covenant Day Of Marital Breakthrough Service || 13th July 2025 || Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland|| First Sunday Service || Part F

Well, I said earlier on that genuine love for God is the master key to all-round breakthroughs in life including marital breakthroughs. That testimony read said, “some people vowed, you will never get married. Jesus said, come after me; I will make all things new and she did and is now gloriously settled in marriage.”

    - No matter the curse that might have come on anyone from any source, that curse is reverted today. That curse is broken today.
    - Everyone set for marriage and desired to be married, today is declared your day.
    - Every widow and widower that desires a resettlement, today is your day.
    - Every separated home that desires a restoration, today is your day.
    - Every crises ridden home, where husband and wife are living like they are in a hostel, that storm is over today in the Name of Jesus.

One of us here, some years back, in an operation like this, after the Service, called the runaway husband that had been impossible to settle for 9 years. "Hello, would you come and pick me up in Church?" He said, "Very well." Church Gist. That ended it. Family could not settle it, Jesus settled it.

    - Today, every form of breakdown in marriage is declared over.

Romans 8:28. Please recognize that God is the author of the institute of marriage. It is not good for a man to be alone, I will make a helpmate for him. Genesis 8:18. Malachi 3:6. Yours is next!

We should also understand that marriage is a good thing and that every good thing is our entitlement in Christ. He that findeth a wife findeth a good thing and obtains favour from the Lord. Matthew 7:11

-The good thing of marriage will deliver in someone's life today.

And this is why, every believer that so desires, has the God given right to be gloriously settled in marriage. Church Gist. God is speaking to someone here now. Every believer that so desires has the God given right to be gloriously settled in marriage.

    - You shall be gloriously settled.

Marriage is also said to be honorable and serving God above all others entitled us to divine honour. John 12:26. Church Gist. Your time to be honoured is finally here.

In addition, seeking first the Kingdom of God entitles believers to divine favour and marriage is one of the manifestations of God's favour in our lives.

    - All these things that others are weeping to get shall be added to you.

You find a wife, you find a husband, you have obtained Favour from God. So, pursuit of God entitles you to Favour from God which includes glorious settlement in marriage. Yours is settled today.

No doubt, a lot of marital destinies among believers have been held in captivity by evil forces behind the scenes. But today is declared the day of escape for anyone under any marital siege. Psalm 68:6. God settles the solitary in marriage.

    - Every chain holding your marital destiny down is declared broken today.
    - Matthew 13:28. Everything the enemy has done to stagnate and stall anyone's marital destiny, that is crushed finally today.

Please note that marital siege here includes natural delays, broken engagements. Church Gist. There are some that are near marriage and then it is over. Storms in marriage, the scourge of separation, threats of divorce and so many more.

    - Whatever replaces a marital siege in anyone's life is declared over today.

God shall be destroying all marital curses, spells and enchantments that are militating against the fulfillment of everyone's marital destiny. By the blood of Jesus, from the communion table today, everyone shall escape from every form of marital captivity in the Name of Jesus.

As it is written in Zechariah 9:11, you are hitting favour, it will come from all sides. The Favour of God will bail you out, that storm is over, that siege is over, it is your turn at last. Church Gist. The blood of Christ is the blood of the everlasting Covenant, so as you engage the power in the blood through the communion table today, the siege is over.

There shall be diverse marital breakthrough testimonies from this Service in the Name of Jesus Christ. So shall it be.

    - Any kind of breakdown in any area of your life, today is your day of restoration.
    - I decree that you go forth from this Service as a wonder to many. You are matching out of here as a wonder to many.
    - There shall be diverse breakthrough marital testimonies this week and it is starting from today in the Name of Jesus Christ.

  • SEEDS OF DESTINY, A DUNAMIS CHURCH DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE
    BY DR PST PAUL ENENCHE

    DATE: SATURDAY, 19TH JULY 2025.

    TOPIC:
    THE MYSTERY OF FAITH

    SCRIPTURE:
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
    1 JOHN 5:4.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: We are called to fight but destined to win.

Faith is a great mystery that looks complicated to many people, and so it must be decomplicated. For many people, the question is, what is faith? And how does it work? It is, therefore, crucial to understand the subject of faith because everything in life is by faith
    (Galatians 3:11).
It is the mystery of faith that gives meaning to life. And until you understand the mystery of faith, you will live a life without meaning. A meaningless life, a life full of defeat, is a product of the lack of understanding of the mystery of faith.

In scripture, men who made history despite life’s battles were men who understood the mystery of faith. Abraham made history with God. Daniel, David, all the people mentioned in Hebrews Chapter Eleven were people who made history with God despite life’s many confrontations. They understood the mystery of faith. So, the understanding of the mystery of faith impacts meaning to life and causes people to make history despite the battles of life.

Now, on our journey to decomplicating the mystery of faith, let us look at what faith is.

Faith is making moves and taking steps based on scriptural insight, or insight from the Word of God, thus moving God to act in your situation and on your behalf. The move of man always provokes the move of God. When man moves God moves. When we move in line with His word, He moves to confirm His Word (Mark 16:20).

Men of faith are movers. They are people of action. As a man of faith, you make moves and take steps based on what God said. You take steps and make moves based on what you read from the Bible.

Now, note these facts about faith:

    1. The Word of God is the most authentic foundation for faith. We understand by faith that the world was framed by the Word of God (Hebrews 11:3). And Romans 10:17 says,
Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. So, the word of God is the most authentic foundation of faith.

    2. Faith does not prevent battles. According to the Scripture, the just shall live by his faith
    (Habakkuk 2:4).
That means, if the just must survive the battles of life, and make impact in life, faith is not negotiable. But it may surprise you to also know that faith does not prevent battles. Someone may say, “I do not have faith; that is why I am always confronted.” No! Faith does not prevent confrontations; it only gives the power to overcome confrontations and persistently dwell in the arena of victory.

    No one overcomes without fighting.
    1Timothy 6:12 says,
fight the good fight of faith. So, anyone who is not ready for a fight is not ready for faith and victory. And the fight of faith is nothing but the confrontation of conviction; it is the enemy trying to challenge what you believe. Faith does not prevent battles or confrontations; it only guarantees victory in the face of battles and confrontations.

We are called to fight but destined to win. So, for a challenge or confrontation to rise against you is not evidence of lack of faith; it is bowing for defeat that is the evidence of lack of faith.

Beloved, I decree that you shall continue to triumph in every battle over your life. Arise in victory by the weapon of faith, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

    REMEMBER THIS:
We are called to fight but destined to win.

    ASSIGNMENT(S):
    1. Refuse to be afraid of the battles of life.

    2. Engage your faith and the Word of God in any battle confronting your life.

    3. See your victory before you fight the battle.

    PRAYER:
Lord, I believe in the power of your Word for my victory in life. I decree the destruction of every enemy weapon fashioned against my life and destiny, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

  • A good relationship is just two people saying
"hey, life is hard, but I want to do it with you." That's it. It's not a highlight reel. It's not always romantic dinners or grand gestures. Sometimes it's folding laundry together and sending each other memes when words feel like too much.
Love isn't always loud. Sometimes it's just choosing each other again.

  • *THE RESTORER'S DAILY GUIDE*

    DATE: SATURDAY 19TH JULY 2025

THEME: *THE BENEFITS OF PRAYING IN TONGUES* (PART TWO)

    MEMORIZE
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

    READ
    1 Corinthians 14:2, 4-5, 13-15
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

    THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
*Mysteries are required to demystify mysteries.*

    MESSAGE
When you pray in an unknown tongue (which is referred to as the prayer language,) several things are being engaged at the same time.

You are dealing with the unknown realms. You are dealing with unknown powers resisting your life and destiny in the spirit world so as to receive all your blessings that are hidden from you.

When you are facing mysterious issues, engage the Holy Spirit to help you deal with them by deliberately worshipping and praying in tongues. And if the problem persists, you need to trust God for an untiring grace and the ability to persevere in the prayer language until victory is won and the coast cleared.

The easiest way to deal with faceless powers who depend on your ignorance to outsmart you is by engaging the Holy Spirit to help you use the prayer language.

When we pray in an unknown tongue, we are attempting to use the mysterious department of the Holy Spirit to deal with the mysteries of darkness fighting us.

*Mysteries are required to demystify mysteries.*

As there are dark mysteries causing miseries in men's lives, so also there are also mysteries of godliness required to end dark mysteries.

*It is an established fact that the problems of men remain problematic for as long as they remain mysterious.*

*However, the things that are mysterious to us are not mysterious to the Holy Spirit.*

This is why we need the prayer language to help us navigate our ways through the dark terrains until the coast is cleared.

Consider this counsel and may the Lord guide you continually.
    1. Pray often, pray daily in tongues to edify your spirit, man.
    2. Pay attention to your spirit whilst you pray.
    3. Watch out for visions and images forming in your mind or in your spirit as you pray.
    4. Take note of the scriptures that drop in your heart or spirit as you pray.
    5. Write down instructions, ideas, nudges, and impressions.

We need the unknown to connect to the unknown. We fetch the unknown with the unknown, and we finish the unknown with the unknown. This is the principle of depending on the Holy Spirit in praying with the unknown tongue.

God's Word says; "Call upon me and I will answer and show you great and mighty things which you know not." (Jeremiah 33:3;)

The things that are unknown to us are far more than the things we know.

    Our richest blessings are largely unknown to us. 1Cor 2:9;
    Our real enemies are unknown to us. Ephesians 6:10-12;

Therefore, praying in an unknown tongue is the real deal because you are dealing with the best and the worst things about your life.
Whether you win or lose is largely dependent on your ability to pray through the spirit realm.

Thank God for giving us the Holy Spirit to help us win invisible battles.

    ACTION STEPS
    1. Keep a tight relationship with God through His Holy Spirit.
    2. Build up your most holy faith, praying always in the Holy Spirit.
    3. Pray for spiritual understanding of the ways of the Holy Spirit.

    PRAYERS
Dear heavenly Father, Thank you for today's devotional guide; and thank you for giving me your Holy Spirit. Help me to take delivery of all your blessings for me in Jesus' name. Amen.

    REMEMBER
*Mysteries are required to demystify mysteries.*

    AUTHOR: JEDIDIAH DAVID

    DAILY READING: 2Chronicles 15-16; Proverbs 20; Acts 18;

    HYMN
    Holy Spirit, lead us now
    Boldly to the throne of grace ;
While our heads in prayer we bow,
Let Thy presence fill this place :
    Holy Spirit, Heavenly Guide,
Lead us to the Crucified !

    2
This is now our time of need,
    This is now the day of grace ;
Now our souls with manna feed
Ere we leave this sacred place :
    Holy Spirit, Heavenly Dove,
Lead us to the feast of love !

    3
    At the blessed mercy-seat
    Peace and joy are freely given ;
While we wait at Jesus' feet,
Make this place the gate of heaven :
    Holy Spirit, Heavenly Friend,
Now upon our hearts descend !

    4
Weak and sinful though we be,
    Jesus' blood can cleanse from sin ;
At the fountain full and free
Wash and make us pure within :
    Holy Spirit, Cleansing fire,
Burn up every base desire !

  • HOW LONG SHOULD A COURTSHIP LAST?

One of the top questions I receive from singles preparing for marriage is this:

👉🏽 “How long should a courtship last?”

Let’s talk about it—honestly, practically, and spiritually.

    FIRST: What is Courtship?

Courtship is not casual dating or emotional experimenting.
It begins when a mature single man, after prayer and divine conviction, proposes marriage to a woman—not for fun or trial—but with the clear intention to marry.

Likewise, the lady must also have her own personal conviction before accepting his proposal. Courtship is not built on pressure, fantasy, or romance alone—it must be rooted in spiritual clarity and maturity.

SEVEN AREAS TO PREPARE BEFORE YOU START COURTSHIP

Before you even say “yes” or “let’s start a relationship,” you must be prepared.

❗️Here are 7 non-negotiable areas of personal readiness:

    1. Spiritual Preparation
Give your life to Christ. If Jesus is not at the center of your life, He cannot be the foundation of your marriage. Without Christ, the storm will sweep your home away.

    2. Physical Preparation
Marriage is not for teenagers or people still hiding under their parents’ roof. Be ready to leave and cleave—physically and emotionally. You need your own space.

    3. Financial Preparation
Don’t enter courtship jobless or financially irresponsible. Learn how to make, manage, and multiply money. Love without money quickly turns sour.

    4. Emotional Preparation
Heal from past wounds. Stop carrying baggage into your future. If you’re easily jealous, insecure, moody, or manipulative, work on yourself first.

    5. Mental Preparation
Educate your mind for marriage. Read books, attend seminars, and gain godly knowledge about family life. Ignorance will c0st you.

    6. Social Preparation
Can you relate well with people? Do you know how to communicate, resolve conflicts, and build community? You will need all of these in marriage.

    7. Moral Preparation
Live a life of integrity and $exual purity. Self-control before marriage prepares you for faithfulness within it.

A WARNING TO SINGLES: COURTSHIP IS NOT A SECRET AFFAIR

    If your partner says:
    “Don’t tell your pastor.”
    “Keep this from your parents.”
“Let’s hide our relationship for now…”

That is a red flag. Run.

Healthy courtships are accountable, not hidden. Your pastor or mentor should be aware, and both sets of parents should bless your journey. Secrecy invites danger. Courtship is not a game. It’s a sacred preparation.

SO, HOW LONG SHOULD A COURTSHIP LAST?

    Minimum: 6 Months
    Maximum: 2 Years
(Exceptions: financial delay, parental objection, or health challenges.)

    Here’s why:

Less than 6 months is too short to truly know someone. It’s risky.

More than 2 years can breed temptation, compromise, boredom, or unnecessary emotional strain.

Courtship should not be rushed, but it also should not be dragged endlessly.

    What Should Happen During Courtship?

❗️Deep and honest conversations about life, vision, and expectations.

❗️Pre-marital counseling with a trusted mentor or pastor.

❗️Family visits and open discussions about background, values, and boundaries.

❗️Prayer, fasting, and studying God’s Word together.

❗️Agreement on issues like finances, $ex, children, ministry, and more.

Courtship is not a time to cuddle and go on endless dates.

It is a time to discern, discover, discuss, and decide.

    Final Thoughts for Singles:

Don’t chase a fast wedding; pursue a solid foundation.

A one-month courtship can c0st you a lifetime of regret.

A 10-year relationship doesn’t guarantee success either. It’s not just about time—it’s about truth, trust, and preparation.

Spend more time praying, learning, and growing—before and during courtship.

Marriage is not for the unprepared.
    Courtship is for the mature.

🙏🏽 May God grant you wisdom, clarity, and success in your marital journey
HOW LONG SHOULD A COURTSHIP LAST? One of the top questions I receive from singles preparing for marriage is this: 👉🏽 “How long should a courtship last?” Let’s talk about it—honestly, practically, and spiritually. ✅ FIRST: What is Courtship? Courtship is not casual dating or emotional experimenting. It begins when a mature single man, after prayer and divine conviction, proposes marriage to a woman—not for fun or trial—but with the clear intention to marry. Likewise, the lady must also have her own personal conviction before accepting his proposal. Courtship is not built on pressure, fantasy, or romance alone—it must be rooted in spiritual clarity and maturity. 📍SEVEN AREAS TO PREPARE BEFORE YOU START COURTSHIP Before you even say “yes” or “let’s start a relationship,” you must be prepared. ❗️Here are 7 non-negotiable areas of personal readiness: 1. 📍Spiritual Preparation Give your life to Christ. If Jesus is not at the center of your life, He cannot be the foundation of your marriage. Without Christ, the storm will sweep your home away. 2. 📍Physical Preparation Marriage is not for teenagers or people still hiding under their parents’ roof. Be ready to leave and cleave—physically and emotionally. You need your own space. 3. 📍Financial Preparation Don’t enter courtship jobless or financially irresponsible. Learn how to make, manage, and multiply money. Love without money quickly turns sour. 4. 📍Emotional Preparation Heal from past wounds. Stop carrying baggage into your future. If you’re easily jealous, insecure, moody, or manipulative, work on yourself first. 5. 📍Mental Preparation Educate your mind for marriage. Read books, attend seminars, and gain godly knowledge about family life. Ignorance will c0st you. 6. 📍Social Preparation Can you relate well with people? Do you know how to communicate, resolve conflicts, and build community? You will need all of these in marriage. 7. 📍Moral Preparation Live a life of integrity and $exual purity. Self-control before marriage prepares you for faithfulness within it. 🚩 A WARNING TO SINGLES: COURTSHIP IS NOT A SECRET AFFAIR If your partner says: ❌ “Don’t tell your pastor.” ❌ “Keep this from your parents.” ❌ “Let’s hide our relationship for now…” That is a red flag. Run. Healthy courtships are accountable, not hidden. Your pastor or mentor should be aware, and both sets of parents should bless your journey. Secrecy invites danger. Courtship is not a game. It’s a sacred preparation. ⏱️ SO, HOW LONG SHOULD A COURTSHIP LAST? 🟢 Minimum: 6 Months 🔴 Maximum: 2 Years (Exceptions: financial delay, parental objection, or health challenges.) Here’s why: 📍Less than 6 months is too short to truly know someone. It’s risky. 📍More than 2 years can breed temptation, compromise, boredom, or unnecessary emotional strain. Courtship should not be rushed, but it also should not be dragged endlessly. 📍What Should Happen During Courtship? ❗️Deep and honest conversations about life, vision, and expectations. ❗️Pre-marital counseling with a trusted mentor or pastor. ❗️Family visits and open discussions about background, values, and boundaries. ❗️Prayer, fasting, and studying God’s Word together. ❗️Agreement on issues like finances, $ex, children, ministry, and more. Courtship is not a time to cuddle and go on endless dates. 👍It is a time to discern, discover, discuss, and decide. 💡 Final Thoughts for Singles: Don’t chase a fast wedding; pursue a solid foundation. *MEMORY VERSE*
Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
    *Job 26:14*

    *BIBLE TEXT*
    *Romans 11:33-36*
[33]O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

[34]For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

[35]Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

[36]For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Many times, believers ask God for things and then begin to think about how He will achieve them. In reality, however, our brains cannot understand how God will do the things He wishes to do. For instance, when a man says he has a PhD in Mathematics, it may sound like a big deal, but in truth, he can only be a specialist in an aspect of the subject. If he finds himself among fellow mathematicians, they will begin to ask him questions like, "What is your area of specialisation?" If he says, Applied Maths, they might further ask, What section of Applied Maths?" He might respond, "Fluid Dynamics. They can still ask, "What section of Fluid Dynamics?" The questioning can go on until it becomes evident that his PhD degree is just a little pin-head in Mathematics. It will take you over 1,000 years to know all there is to know about Mathematics. However, God knows all Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, and all other subjects, including those that are yet to be discovered. You simply can't compare your wisdom and knowledge to His. Why, then, do believers try to calculate how He will choose to do something?

When I became the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1981, quite a few people in the church thought that my appointment was rigged. They thought that I used my position as a Mathematics lecturer to manipulate the General Superintendent because he was uneducated. I looked up to God to show the people that I did not manoeuvre my way into becoming the General Overseer and that He chose me Himself. God then began to do something extraordinary. We used to hold monthly seminars for some days, and on the first day of each seminar, a woman would deliver a baby boy in our maternity centre. After several months of this happening, it became clear that it was not coincidental, and those with spiritual understanding among us discerned that it was a sign from God confirming that He had chosen me Himself. l could never have imagined that God would use this as one of the ways to confirm that He had chosen me.
Beloved, when you ask God for something, please don't ever think of how He will do it because it is beyond you. Just ask, obey whatever instructions He gives you, and leave the rest to Him.

    *KEY POINT*
When you ask God for something, don't think about how He will do it; only trust and obey Him.
