• The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, on 5 August 2025, decorated ACP Aliyu Shaba and CSP Sentome Obi, the 2023 and 2024 winners of the Police Officer of the Year award respectively, with their new ranks. The ceremony took place at the IGP Smart Conference Room, Force Headquarters, Louis Edet House, Abuja.

The promotion and decoration of these officers clearly demonstrates the Force's commitment to acknowledging and rewarding officers who consistently carry out their service to the nation and its citizens exceptionally. The IGP again re-echoed the decision of the Force Management that any officer who wins Police Officer of the Year Award, wins the IGP Commendation Award or has won category award in the last two consecutive years shall be recommended to the Police Service Commission for accelerated promotion.

The IGP seized the opportunity to call on all members of Force that the doors of honour and recognition are wide open, but would only come as a result of hard-work, professionalism, excellence, and service discipline.

In a similar development, the IGP received a delegation of senior officials of the National Pension Commission (PenCom) led by the Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom), Ms Omolola B. Oluworaran, and the Managing Director of NPF Pensions Limited, Mr Kolade Morakinyo, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja. The visit included an interactive session which lasted for hours and had in attendance senior officers from the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police and above.

The interactive session critically addressed major concerns of serving and retired officers towards improved retirement benefits. The IGP is optimistic that in no distant time, all the efforts to ameliorate the pitiable conditions of retired officers would yield positive result.

The Inspector-General of Police once again reaffirmed the commitment of the Force to improved welfare packages for both serving and retired officers. He further reiterated the commitment of the leadership of the Force to emplacing a Force that is professionally competent, service-driven, rule of law compliant and people-friendly.

  • UPDATE ON MY STOLEN @ray_ban AI GLASSES & AKU VICTOR CHIEMERIE

I can now authoritatively confirm that ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi (@Princemoye1) is in possession of my stolen Ray-Ban AI-powered glasses, the same device snatched by Aku Victor Chiemerie during the historic #PoliceProtest at Force Headquarters on July 21st, 2025.

After presenting it to the illegal IGP, he was given the marching order to hack the device in search of "incriminating footage."

In a desperate move, Adejobi has sent the glasses to the Police Digital Forensics Unit, the same department responsible for tracking kidnappers, hoping to extract footage. But they've hit a brick wall; the glasses have no external SD card, making it impossible to access the data without proper credentials.

Rather than return the stolen property, Adejobi is now pressuring the team to hack the glasses by any means necessary, even requesting them to contact Ray-Ban Meta to purchase my credentials at all costs, a blatant criminal violation of digital privacy and personal property.

ACP Muyiwa Adejobi @Princemoye1 tampering with my stolen eyeglasses is criminal theft, and not law enforcement.

Meanwhile, Aku Victor Chiemerie, after going into hiding, is reportedly planning to resurface at House On The Rock Church in Abuja tomorrow with his wife. If you see Nigeria’s national thief, tell him to return my @ray_ban Meta glasses.

  • The illegal IGP of @policeng is excreting bricks and can't stand the heat anymore, so he's embarked again on another voyage, considering that his “cybercrime” farcical trial and the seizure of my international passport didn't work. He's invited me to his “IGP” Monitoring Unit section for “Forgery and INCITING Disturbance.”

I will be there on Monday, and I'll be inviting all our people in the revolutionary struggle to come with me. #EgbetokunMustGo
