  • She THREW Her NEWBORN BABY Off the BRIDGE Into the River Because... Episode 1

For 20 years, Johnny and his wife, Binta, lived in a quiet house by the river in the small town of Faju. Despite the years of marriage, their home was silent—no cries of children, no sounds of joy. Just the whisper of the river behind their house. Every morning, before the sun had fully risen, Binta would walk to the riverbank, kneel, and gently touch her stomach. Her words would drift into the wind, "Oh gods of the land, give me a child before I die." The pain in her voice was always the same. Every day. Rain or shine. No answer.

Johnny sat quietly behind her, no longer pleading. He had given up on hope, his heart weary from the weight of unfulfilled prayers. The townspeople whispered behind their backs, some saying, "Her womb is locked with a padlock." Others mocked, "Maybe it’s Johnny. He eats his children in his dreams." But Binta and Johnny never spoke of these things. They just kept trying.

From one doctor to another, the verdict was always the same: medically, there was nothing wrong. Desperate, they sought help from prayer houses and prophets. Binta endured fiery prayers, fainting after each session. Nothing changed. Not even bitter herbs from a native doctor could help. The years passed, and the silence in their home grew louder.

One day, in their 15th year of marriage, they met a man who claimed to have the answer. His robes were long and his voice deep, like thunder. "The only way you can have a child is if you sleep with me," he said. "It’s a spiritual covenant." Binta dropped to the ground in shock. She refused. She cried, but her heart was broken, and Johnny held her through it all. That night, they made a decision—to leave the town behind, to escape the voices and the judgment, to live in silence by the river.

In a neighboring town, Amanda’s beauty was the talk of the village. Her skin shimmered like the morning sun, and her hair flowed like palm branches. She was the center of attention wherever she went. Yet, despite all the compliments, Amanda felt trapped. Her life was one of constant demands—sweeping, fetching water, washing dishes. She dreamed of freedom, of being more than just a pretty face. She wanted to escape the life that confined her.

As Amanda’s frustration grew, something stirred in her heart. She began to question the life she had been given—the expectations, the roles, the way she was treated. She began to see that her beauty, her privileges, might not have been a blessing after all. It was a cage, and she longed to break free.

But one day, as the winds of change swept through the village, a fateful encounter would bring both Binta’s silent sorrow and Amanda’s yearning for freedom together in ways neither of them could have ever predicted.

In a world where silence and beauty both carry heavy burdens, Binta and Amanda would each face a choice that would change their lives forever.

Stay tuned for the next part of their intertwined destinies. Will they find the freedom and fulfillment they so desperately seek? Or will the choices of the past haunt them forever

  • His Maid

    ( She's Crazy ; He is nasty )

    Episode 44

    Oliver POV

I could hear yells and arguments downstairs from my room.

At first, I just decided to ignore it but I just can't.

I'm lying on my bed thinking about my life but this yells and shouts is really distracting me.

I got off from bed walking out of the room, roaming my eyes everywhere but I didn't hear anymore voices nor did I see anyone.

So I decided to have a look downstairs, on getting there, still no one nor anymore voices.

The strange thing is that, I can't tell whose voices it was and I also don't know who was it.

"Strange.. the noises was coming from here a while ago.. Wonder where they left". I thought.

I let out a shrug and said..

"Anyways.. that's not a problem now, my problem is me all left out here since no one is at home.."

"Damn". I blurted out in a sarcastic tone.

I could hear footsteps on the staircase, on looking back, it's Rhianna walking down stairs with a hand bag on.

"Hi ma'am Rhianna". I said waving my hand slightly.

"Hi Oliver". She said smiling softly.

"So you were even inside all along.. I can see you are going out as well". I stated heaving a sigh.

"Yes Ollie.. actually I'm going to visit my mom and sister". she said with a smile.

"Oh wow, you even have a sister?". I said raising my brows in surprise.

"Oh yes I do..a naughty lil sis". She gestured playfully grinning at me.

"Frankly, I thought you are the only child, really". I said looking at her in amazement.

"Nope..so you wanna come with me and see my mom and sis?". She asked winking at me.

"I thought y'd never ask". I replied excitedly, I could hear her giggling.

Me and Rhianna got in to the car as the driver drove the car to our destination.

The drive was quite at first until we started talking randomly about some casual things yunno.

"This is really a long drive". I stated looking outside the car as it drove past beautiful buildings at the sides.

"It's a 40 to 45 minutes drive yunno". She replied.

I remarked, soon there was silence between us until she asked me a surprising question.

"So Oliver, have you sorted out your feelings?". She asked sharply out of a blue.

I widened my eyes in surprise looking at her this time.

"What... feeling?". I asked feigning not to know what's she's talking about.

"That feeling you have for Allison". She replied sharply looking at me.

I widened my eyes unable to talk at that moment, it's as if my mouth is glued.

    Is Rhianna a heart detector?

How did she know all this?

For somewhat reason, I felt so sweaty and nervous widening my eyes.

"The truth is...I.. have a huge crush on Allison and... and...I like her...like like her very much". I confessed taking in a deep breath.

"I know that Oliver, I know you like Allison". She said looking at me.

"Now you know about all this, please promise me you won't tell anyone about this especially Allison and Blake.. I beg of you". I said softly holding her hand gently.

    "But why Oliver?". She asked

"Allison is a famous and rich model.. how can she fall for a poor wretched guy like me and if Blake finds out about this, then he could get mad at me". I said sighing sadly.

"Oliver you shouldn't talk like that.. Blake would do no such thing and as for Allison, she...". She said but I didn't let her to finish before I cut her off. I know where she's getting to.

"I left Australia and came all the way here to Los Angeles to pursue my dreams and in search of greener pastures.. I made up my mind to focus on why I came here"

"But the first time I set my eyes on Allison, I was out of control, that was the day I started developing feelings for her..I have a crush on her but I won't let it get to another stage".

"I will let go of her.. she's even older than me.. this is just crush and it's gonna be for a while, soon it will fade away". I stated looking at her directly.

"Oliver.. it's not that easy". She said looking at me .

"I know it's not gonna be easy for me but soon enough this feeling will fade away.. please this should remain between the both of us forever, no one must ever know about this, promise me". I said looking at her seriously stretching forth my hand to promise.

"But Oliver". She said softly looking at my sad face.

"Please miss Rhianna, please promise me". I said looking at her.

"Okay... okay". She said heaving a sigh deeply and continued.

"I promise this will remain between us and no one else.. I won't tell anyone". She promised taking in a deep breath before placing her hand on mine.

"Thank you.. Thank you". I muttered trying to get hold of my emotions.

    Rhianna POV

I have no choice but to respect Oliver's decision and keep to the promise I just stick too.

As much as I and Allison had a big fight, I still had that boost to bring them together but it seems like that's how fate wants it to be.

As much I don't know Allison well I sure know she will never accept Oliver.

She's too arrogant, rude and sassy, I think Oliver letting off his feelings for Allison is the right thing to do.

I was upset at first but now I'm proud of Oliver now and I'm proud of his decision.

This his feeling could cause conflicts and chaos here and there, he is still young but he sure does thinks maturely.

Oliver deserves someone who will love him unconditionally absence of his physical appearance, wealth or any material things, I pray he finds someone who is the right one.

"Come here Oliver, give me a hug". I said spreading my arms to him.

He smiled cheerfully embracing me, he is sure like a brother to me.

The car came to an halt, meaning we are at my mom's house.

"We are here now". I said to him with a smile.

I got out of the car, closing the door.

He highlighted from the car shutting down the door as well.

"We can't take the car further so we are going to walk to there". I explained smiling at him.

"Sure, I don't mind". He replied cheerfully.

I smiled walking some few houses before getting to the house.

I could see Riele so engrossed on the novel she's reading that she didn't notice our presence.

    Oliver POV

I saw a teenage girl sitting right in front of Rhianna's house.

She looks very pretty and I could see the resemblance of she and Rhianna.

They so much look alike but the difference is she's the younger version of Rhianna.

"She's pretty". I thought looking at her pretty cute face.

Her hair is also black but more shorter than Rhianna's and it's curly all over.

Again, she's wearing glasses and I think it's recommended but she still looks so cute.

"Oliver.. what's wrong with you?". I asked myself in thoughts hoping I'm not falling for her.

"Hmm I see my little Riele still loves reading novels huh". Rhianna said softly smiling broadly.

"Oh yes she does..my big sis knows how much I love reading novels". She replied swiftly still engrossed on her novels, I chuckled on her behavior.

She sure has a sweet voice, she quickly raised her head as if she just remembered something out of a blue.

"Rhianna! It's you!". she exclaimed in surprise keeping the novel aside standing up running to her, giving her a big hug.

"I have been watching you... since my book nerd". I teased soothing her hair admist of the hug.

"I'm angry with you..ever since you started working for Blake Don Yo, you have forgotten me and mom". she said disengaging from the hug with a frown, that's when her eyes finally got to me.

I'm sure she has questions in her mind.

"I didn't forget you..I can't forget my family, I miss you both so much and I want to spend good time with you both". She said in teary eyes.

"I miss you too!". She exclaimed back looking at me now with a smile.

"Hmm... Rhianna who is he?". She asked looking me.

"Riele meet Oliver Hart, he is Blake Don Yo special friend". She introduced warmly smiling at me.

"Oh wow, hi Oliver.." She said smiling broadly at me.

"Hi Riele.. I'm so glad to meet you and I hope to even know you more". I said smiling looking at her cute small eyes, those eyes are so attractive to me.

"Awwwww... same here, please come on in". She said sweetly.

"Oh now you are welcoming Oliver and you are not welcoming me huh.. it's not fair lil sis". Rhianna said grinning at us.

"I said you both come in.. you love teasing me don't you?". She said folding her arms on her chest.

"Oh yes I do". She stated grinning.

She scoffed with a frown walking real fast.

    "Where's mom?". Rhianna asked.

"She's inside!". She shouted walking in as I watched her walk, a smile escaped my lips.

    Blake POV

The car came to an halt, me and Fredrick got out of the car walking in.

"That deal worth millions, I hope we get the deal". I said to Fredrick taking off the coat I'm wearing, clad on a cotton fabric top.

"Of course we would.. it's just that Mr. Martins seems kinda arrogant". Frederick blurted out.

"Not kinda, he is arrogant but am imma kick his butt". I said with a smirk.

"Oh man! Imma join ya!". Fredrick said grinning while I smirked.

I sat down on the couch crossing my legs picking up the remote on the couch.

    "Wanna freshen up...". Fredrick said.

"Sure man". I said shrugging my shoulders.

I could not hear any noise, I think no one is in here apart from me and Fredrick.

I then remembered Rhianna, thinking of her, I think I should give her a call and ask her if she has gone to the hospital yet and if she hasn't, I will make her go.

I took my phone about to dial Rhianna's number when my phone buzzed it ringing tone, on seeing the caller, it's Allison.

    I picked up the call..

Yes Allison... I said with a sigh..

Blake... Blake.. please safe me... She stuttered panting hard and I could hear her crying.

Allison, Ally what happened? Why is your voice that way? Why are you crying?...I asked in a worried voice standing up in haste.

She kept on crying and crying over the phone.

Allison please talk to me... please you are getting me worried, what happened? Please tell me. I said worriedly pacing back and forth.

Blake please come right now! I'm in big trouble.. all I can tell you is that I'm in SILVER GOLDEN BED hotel...please come quick. She cried harder over the phone.

Silver golden bed hotel? Got it! I will be there! Please hold on". I said worriedly that's when I knew she had hung up already.

Silver golden bed hotel... I have to go there now, I will talk to Fredrick later... I said picking up my car keys dashing out of the mansion, hopping in my car as I drove off.

    Rhianna POV

I embraced mom as tears rolled down my cheeks kissing her hair.

"Rhianna... I've missed you hunny". She said pulling me much more tighter.

"I will get chill drinks for you all". Riele said with a smile walking to the kitchen.

"Mom I have missed you so much". I said disengaging from the hug making her seat down.

Riele walked to us with a tray of glass cups containing orange juice.

She's now a big girl, just look at her.

As she walked to us, she stumbled then the juice spilled on Oliver's top getting it stained.

"I'm sorry... sorry... sorry". She apologized looking at Oliver.

"No.. no it's okay". He said letting out a smile, touching the stained part.

"Riele you should be more careful...take him to the bathroom to clean up". I said.

"Please follow me I'm sorry once again". She said in a low voice, he nodded walking right behind her.

I watched them leave smiling that's when I turned to mom, I then I noticed her staring at me.

Now I'm wondering how long she has been staring at me.

"Mom.." . I called widening my eyes with a smile.

"You have taken in and I hope the one you took in for loves you and wants something long lasting with you". Mom said placing her hand on my shoulder, I widened my eyes wondering what she's talking about as am puzzled.

    Blake POV

The car came to an halt stopping right in front of silver golden bed hotel.

I unfastened the seat belt walking in haste.

She told me the hotel she lodged into but not the number.

Yes let me ask the receptionist..

I walked to a female receptionist giving me her sweetest smiles.

"Welcome sir to Silver golden bed hotel..our rooms are of good qualities and convenient for you..so please sir can I book you a room?". She asked smiling at me warmly.

"Emm.. sorry I didn't come here to book a room.. I came here for Allison Tyler, what's her room number please". I said in a hurry.

"Sorry sir we can't give private information just like that". She said.

"Please miss... it's important I see her, she's in trouble.. okay here have this..". I said giving her some cash, she gasped looking at me with a smile.

"Sure sir". She said opening the register.

"Allison Tyler right?". She asked looking at the files going through it.

"Yes". I answered hastily feeling impatient.

"Allison Tyler.. room 205.. Sir use the elevator to be faster sir". She said with a smile.

"Thank you". I said walking fast using the elevator.

I got out of the elevator walking through the rooms looking at the numbers.

"Room 205". I said out loud seeing it through the barge.

I opened the door with force, it opened, I couldn't see anything cos it's so dark in there.

"Allison... Allison are you in there?". I asked softly unable to see anything.

I brought out my phone, switching on the light.

I saw her sitting on the floor buring her head on her thighs.

I quickly switched on the lamp stand, squatting down.

"Allison... Allison what's wrong?". I asked worried placing my hand at her back, raising her head up.

"Oh my gosh!". I exclaimed seeing bruises on her face.

Her hair was all messy and rough scratches on her skin as well.

"Allison.. Allison...who did this to you?!". I asked softly touching her wound.

She wept buring her face on my chest.

"Ally who on earth have the guts to do this to you!". I shouted caressing her face, she winced in pain when I did that.

"It's.. it's Mr. Anthony.. the same man who called me here for my next shoot". She said breaking down into tears.

"He did this to you?! Why!". I shouted helping her to get up.

"Blake....he.....wanted to... assault me brutally..". She cried louder after saying this.

    "What!?". I said in shock.

"But..I managed to get away from him before that....he.. slapped me.. messed up my hair and even tried to tear..my clothes". She starmmard heavily.

I fumed in anger on hearing that gritting my teeth.

"Where is he now!! I won't spare him!". I roared in anger, she held my hand hugging me, crying more.

"He ran away.. please don't leave me I'm scared..." She stuttered in her words in sobs.

    12 minutes later...

I consoled her trying to make her understand that we should go home but she obliged saying I should spend small time with her.

"Please let's drink cos that's the only way I can forget this brutal act.. let's get a little tipsy". She persuaded me.

    "No Allison... I don't think it's a good idea". I obliged.

"Pleaseeeee".. She kept on begging in sobs.

"Okay but small Ally". I said finally giving in..

🎤🎧 Blake POV 🎤🎧 The car came to an halt, me and Fredrick got out of the car walking in. 📲 Yes Allison... I said with a sigh.. 📲 Blake... Blake.. please safe me... She stuttered panting hard and I could hear her crying. 📲 Allison, Ally what happened? Why is your voice that way? Why are you crying?...I asked in a worried voice standing up in haste. She kept on crying and crying over the phone. 📲 Allison please talk to me... please you are getting me worried, what happened? Please tell me. I said worriedly pacing back and forth. 📲 Blake please come right now! I'm in big trouble.. all I can tell you is that I'm in SILVER GOLDEN BED hotel...please come quick. She cried harder over the phone. 📲 Silver golden bed hotel? Got it! I will be there! Please hold on". I said worriedly that's when I knew she had hung up already. 📲 Silver golden bed hotel... I have to go there now, I will talk to Fredrick later... I said picking up my car keys dashing out of the mansion, hopping in my car as I drove off. 💮💮 Rhianna POV 💮💮 I embraced mom as tears rolled down my cheeks kissing her hair. 🎤🎧 Blake POV 🎤🎧 The car came to an halt stopping right in front of silver golden bed hotel. I said finally giving in.. . . . To Be Continued.................. Hmmmm something is fishy... what's Allison planning? Guess 🤔🤔🤔 Oliver I'm proud of you, letting go of someone you like is not easy 🌝 Looks like Oliver has his eyes on Riele 😶🤭🤭 Oliver has a crush on Allison.. Please drop your thoughts please 🥺

  • I started cohabiting with this guy right from hundred level.

He received me warmly and we lived together peacefully for a long time.

Our meeting happened as a result of the accommodation issue I had.

I really needed a place to stay but couldn't find a place until I met him.

    Let's call him John.

He never complained about my stay in his house until one of his close friends found out that we lived together.

“John! What are you doing with her?
What is she doing in your house?” he asked in great shock after seeing us having a nice time together that evening.

    That was it!
John started acting strange towards me.
He began to try to ignore me especially whenever I wanted us to have fun.

It kept happening, and I sensed that my days in his house were numbered.

I decided to opt for the other method–violence.

There was no way he could get rid of me.

Whether he liked it or not, I had come to stay and was going to stay.

I began to show him the other side of me.
    Let's say I hypnotized him.
I'd use him for my pleasure, make him do what he didn't want to do, and force him to obey my commands.

He was like a puppet in my hands.

I dealt with him so hard that he began to contemplate suicide.

The fun fact about our relationship was that despite all I did to him, he couldn't get rid of me even if he wanted to.

I was in charge and he had lost his will power to me.

Our beautifully toxic relationship continued until the day that a strong guy came into the house.

This was our fourth year together.
John had summoned the courage to report me to him–an outsider, an intruder.

He came in and threw me out of the house along with my belongings.

    I was embarrassed that day.

I swore to deal John a great blow if I ever got another opportunity to live in his house again.

I left his house and went back to square one–house-hunting.

I'm currently looking for the next apartment where I can live in for a while.

    Don't blame me.

I don't have a permanent site of residency.
I can only cope when I squat with people in their apartments.

Forgive me for not introducing myself earlier.

My friends and siblings call me Masty for short, but my name is Masturbation.

    Yeah.
The apartment I spoke about are bodies, human bodies.
That's where I like to stay.

Give me a chance into your apartment and watch me maximize it.

Except the strong man that saves and delivers rescues you, you'll remain my slave forever, my roommate.

I have victims all over the world already, and daily, I hope to get more.

I'm always harmless and sweet until you try to break up with me.

If you ever open the door for me, be sure that I'd gladly oblige and settle in.

Till I write to you again.

    Ms Masty remains the name.

  • Men, your value increase as you become more dangerous

Here are 15 rules DANGEROUS MEN must obey.

    Masculinity thread:

    1. Stop Helping Everyone
Reality is you cannot help everyone.

You can bring horse to the water, but you can never make the horse drink.

    2. BE RADICALLY HONEST

    Everyone can be honest.

But can you be if you are facing risk of humiliation, embarrassment and shame?

    Or if it offends others?

Dangerous men DO NOT give a f*ck.

    3. BE EXTREMELY MASCULINE

The world is having too many demasculinized men.

Being extremely masculine today is like half the masculine 5000 years ago.

    4. SAY NO TO WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY NO

Life is not about pleasing everyone you know.

You are in full responsibility of your life.

    Take care of yourself first.

    6. STAY 100% TRUE TO YOUR BELIEFS AND VALUES.

If you care about something, fight for it.

    Don't be afraid.

    Live with full of integrity

    7. BE RUTHLESS IN THE PURSUIT OF YOUR GOALS AND PURPOSE.

Your purpose makes you a valuable man.

It's meant to make you driven and powerful.

    8. STOP WASTING TIME ON BS

There's too much bs going on like how the will smith smacked the sh*t out of chris rock.

Stop wasting your time on non-sensical drama.

    9. FORM POWERFUL CONNECTIONS.

Learn to be confident and develop massive social skills.

    The lone wolf dies.

The pack lives. I don't make the rules.

    10. PICK A SKILL AND BE VERY GOOD AT IT

There's a famous restaurant in Italy that only serves macaroni.

But it's the best restaurant in town. Why?

Because they are specialised in making the best macaroni.

    12. BE GOOD TO YOURSELF

If there's anything you won't do to your own child, don't do it to yourself.

Don't say bad things to yourself because you won't do it to your child

    13. DON'T DO ANYTHING IN SECRET

Losers think their purpose in cringe.

    Dangerous men don't give a f*ck

They know what they want, and they are proud of it.

    14. NEVER PUT ALL HOPE ON ONE WOMAN

Stop texting her all day like she's the only one.

    You are better than that.

    15. STOP TRYING TO CONTROL EVERYTHING

Life is life. Stop trying to make it the way you wanted 100% of the time.

Sh*t happens, and it will keep on happening.

    Let go, let life happen.

Do what's right diplomatically, because sometimes you may be wrong.
Always spend some time with yourself. Especially before sleeping, just close your eyes and think about what you've done in the past and what your goals are in the future, not being stressed, but calmly think about yourself.

  • On my twenty-ninth birthday, I prayed to God about my relationship. I told Him the next man I meet should be my last stop because I wasn’t growing any younger. I was ready to settle down and wanted to date a man He Himself had chosen for me.

At that time, Josh was around, pestering me with a relationship proposal, so I mentioned his name in my prayer and asked God to reveal to me if indeed Josh was the one. After that prayer, I must admit, I didn’t do anything else but went ahead to accept Josh’s proposal because he had been pursuing me for over a month.

Before accepting his proposal, I told him what I needed in love and what I hoped to get in the near future. I even told him the reason why I was accepting his proposal was that he looked like a serious guy who was ready to settle down. I asked him, “Or am I wrong?” He nodded his head and smiled before saying, “You can’t be wrong. What’s a relationship if it’s not about settling down?”

I saw some red flags, but I ignored them. To me, the love was new, so I was giving it some time to see if things would change. Anytime he was coming to visit, he would call and ask what I had cooked before he would come. He would come empty-handed, eat, sleep, and leave. If he didn’t like what I cooked, he would ask me, “Can’t you prepare banku and okro for me? I’ve been yearning for that all week.”

I would prepare it, he would come and eat without giving me anything. He wouldn’t even come with a small gift in hand and say, “Oh babe, I got this on the way for you.” I love to receive gifts. Even when I had to visit him, he asked me to bring stuff to cook for him.

One day, he put his phone on charge and entered the toilet. His phone’s screen was already on before he put it on charge, so I quickly picked it up before the screen went off. I checked his messages. I didn’t even bother about his chats with other women. I went straight to the chat between him and his friend Kaylu.

Kaylu said, “Charley, Alberta has been calling me oo. She says you’ve been avoiding her. What’s happening?” Josh responded, “Oh, don’t mind that girl. She loves marriage too much. Every small conversation, this girl will talk about marriage. Is she the only woman in this world without a husband?”

They had dated for over four years, according to what Kaylu said, and “after four years, what do you expect a woman to talk about?” Kaylu asked. Josh responded, “Then she should go and find another man because I’m not ready.”

I was like, “Oh, is that so?”

I put the phone down quietly and went to the kitchen. When he came out of the toilet, he asked for his food. I told him I mistakenly put sugar in the okro instead of salt, so the stew had gone bad. He laughed at me. He said, “Oh, so we can’t eat it at all?” I answered, “If you try it, you’ll **** for a whole month.”

I saw him off, and that very day, I texted him that I couldn’t continue anymore. He was like, “Oh, but how? What did I do? I thought everything was fine?” I answered, “It was fine until I realised it wasn’t fine. It’s not your fault but mine.” He said, “If you need space, I can give you that, but we don’t have to break up because of an unknown issue.”

I didn’t want to argue about what I saw in his message. Plus, anything he was going to say would amount to nothing, so why bother? When I agreed I needed the space, the next thing he said was, “But it doesn’t mean I can’t come home and eat if I miss your meals, right?” The answer that came to my head wasn’t pretty, so I hushed it and instead told him he couldn’t call me while he was giving me space.

That’s how we ended. No drama. No back-and-forth argument. Go your way; let me go mine.

  • They laughed when she was forced to marry the village madman _ but what he did after the wedding shocked everyone.

    Episode 1

Emily was called into the center of the village by her stepmother, Margaret, who stood with arms crossed and eyes blazing. The entire village gathered, eager for gossip. Margaret’s voice cut through the air like a blade, announcing that Emily would marry Jacob—the madman who lived near the woods. Shock rippled through the crowd, followed by gasps and stifled laughter. Emily’s heart pounded in her chest as tears welled up in her eyes. She had always hoped for a quiet, respectful life—not this public humiliation.
She looked over at Jacob, who was being led out like livestock. He walked slowly, not making eye contact, his clothes ragged and hair unkempt. His face, though tired, showed no madness—just quiet pain. The villagers laughed louder as Emily crumbled under the weight of shame. No one knew the truth about Jacob, not even Emily herself. As she stood there, helpless and humiliated, her life changed forever in that moment—and so did his.
The wedding was rushed, almost like a joke. Villagers dressed in their finest came not to celebrate, but to witness the mockery unfold. Women wore bold prints and headscarves, whispering to one another and pointing. The ceremony was held under the old mango tree, the same place where countless happy unions had taken place. But this time, it was different. Emily stood stiffly beside Jacob, her hands trembling as she held her wilted bouquet. The priest hesitated before beginning, as even he felt the discomfort in the air.

Note - this story belongs to jennylight, any page aside from hers stole it.

Jacob didn’t say a word during the entire ceremony. He simply looked at the ground, never once meeting Emily’s eyes. When the priest asked if he accepted her as his wife, he gave a slow nod. No smile. No joy. Just a nod. Emily could feel the eyes of the villagers boring into her skin. Her stepmother smirked, proud of what she had orchestrated. The priest declared them husband and wife, and instead of cheers, laughter echoed through the village square. Emily felt like a lamb led to slaughter, her dignity stripped, her heart hollow.
After the ceremony, there was no celebration—just silence. Emily and Jacob walked down the dusty path toward his tiny hut at the edge of the village. She had never been so humiliated. Her veil fluttered in the breeze, catching on low branches as curious children followed them at a distance, giggling and whispering. Emily’s heart pounded with fear and uncertainty. She didn’t know what kind of man Jacob truly was—only what the village claimed. The madman. The one who talked to himself. The one who lived alone.
Jacob’s home was barely more than a shack—wooden walls, a leaking roof, and a single bench inside. When they arrived, he stepped aside and let her walk in first. No words. Just a nod. Emily stepped into the small space and looked around. It was tidy, strangely enough. There were books stacked in a corner, a small blanket folded neatly on a mat, and a worn drawing pinned to the wall. It was a sketch of the village—but beautifully detailed. Her eyes lingered on it, and for a moment, she felt something shift. Maybe there was more to him than they told her. But fear still clung tightly to her chest.
That night, Emily lay stiffly on one side of the hut, facing the wall. Jacob remained on the other, barely making a sound. The silence was louder than the laughter they had left behind. The wind rustled through the holes in the roof, and a faint drip echoed from a leaky spot near the corner. She couldn’t sleep. Her mind spun with shame, confusion, and fear. Yet, not once did he approach her. No threats. No crazed behavior. Just the occasional cough and the creak of his weight shifting on the mat.
In the morning, she found a steaming cup of boiled herbs and a plate of roasted yam waiting for her on the bench. Jacob wasn’t in the hut. She blinked in confusion. He had gone to the stream, and when he returned, he placed a bundle of firewood beside the door without a word. Emily watched him from inside, her curiosity growing. Was this the madman the village spoke of? He hadn’t spoken to her, but his quiet actions spoke volumes. For the first time, she realized the village might have been wrong—or at least, they didn’t know the full story.

They laughed when she was forced to marry the village madman _ but what he did after the wedding shocked everyone. Episode 1 Emily was called into the center of the village by her stepmother, Margaret, who stood with arms crossed and eyes blazing.
