• Suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Slams N5.1 Billion Defamation Suit Against Senator Nwaebonyi

Suspended Senator Natasha Hadiza Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents the Kogi Central Senatorial District in Kogi State, has filed a N5.1 billion defamation lawsuit against Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi.

The lawsuit, marked Suit No: CV/1359/25, was filed at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja Judicial Division, through her legal team led by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Michael Jonathan Numa. In the filing, Akpoti-Uduaghan alleges that Senator Nwaebonyi made defamatory remarks against her during a live appearance on Channels Television's *Sunrise Daily* on March 6, 2025. According to her, Nwaebonyi falsely referred to her as a “gold digger,” “habitual liar,” and “habitual blackmailer.”

She contends that the statements were “false, malicious, defamatory, and actionable per se,” and that they have caused significant reputational damage and emotional distress.

The suspended senator further claims the defamatory remarks lowered her image before the public, leading to embarrassment and reputational harm.

Filed by Writ of Summons under Order 2 Rule 2 of the FCT High Court (Civil Procedure) Rules 2025, the suit was officially submitted on April 7, 2025.

Among the reliefs sought, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan is asking the court to declare that the statements made by Nwaebonyi do not constitute a lawful exercise of freedom of speech. She is demanding multiple declarations, injunctions, and monetary compensation, including:

    - A declaration that the statements made during the March 6, 2025, *Sunrise Daily* interview — describing her as a “gold digger,” “habitual liar,” and “habitual blackmailer” — are false, malicious, and defamatory, having caused harm to her reputation.

    - A declaration that additional remarks made during a March 3, 2025, interview on Arise News TV, in which Nwaebonyi allegedly said she was “a mother of six from different men,” are also defamatory, malicious, and injurious to her character and public image.

    - A declaration concerning statements made in a YouTube video — [link](https://youtu.be/fzo4O6zhMPM?si=Nhl9-2pVYIzU22) — where Nwaebonyi allegedly said: “This woman is spoiling game for women who want to enter politics. Are you the only woman in Nigeria, Senator Natasha!? What is wrong with you?”

    - A further declaration regarding another video — [News Central TV report](https://youtu.be/nXaok-O5ni8?si=guLUAR-IIFOQRh) — published on March 27, 2025, in which Nwaebonyi allegedly claimed that Akpoti-Uduaghan blackmailed her current husband into marrying her under duress and accused her of falsely alleging sexual harassment against Reno Omokri during the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

She claims these publications were “false, malicious, unjustified, injurious, scornful, distasteful, and unsavory,” exposing her to ridicule both nationally and internationally.

    The senator is seeking:

    - A perpetual injunction restraining Nwaebonyi and his affiliates from making further defamatory remarks.
    - A court order compelling Nwaebonyi to retract his statements and publish an unreserved apology in at least two national newspapers and on all platforms where the defamatory remarks were made.
    - N5 billion in aggravated and exemplary damages.
    - Post-judgment interest on the awarded sum at 10% per annum until fully paid.
    - An additional N100 million as the cost of legal action.

She is also asking the court to grant any further orders it deems appropriate.

Before we get too carried away by the Western-generated (Israel) narratives that Imamoglu is a credible and "popular" Presidential challenge to Erdogan - perhaps we should dig a little deeper. Not only do the corruption charges extend to 80 of the municipality workers... there has been controversy over Imamoglu's University qualifications which, if proven, would disqualify him from running as President LOL. "Arab Spring" was always a CIA/MI6/Mossad operation. Who benefits from destabilising Turkey right now? How many foreign Takfiri elements are inside Turkey as a result of the regime change war against Syria since 2011? Millions. Who are actually on the streets? Who is funding Imamoglu and the protests? These are all questions I would be asking before drawing conclusions..

  • When She Walks Away Mad:
Follow her—not to force an answer, but to show you care enough to stay close.

When She Looks at Your Lips:
Kiss her—softly, intentionally, like you’ve been waiting all day to do it.

    When She Pushes You Away:
Pull her in. She’s not angry... she’s overwhelmed. Remind her she’s safe with you.

    When She Starts Yelling:
Don’t match her energy. Calmly kiss her forehead and remind her you love her.

    When She’s Quiet:
Don’t ignore it. Ask her what’s on her heart—and really listen.

    When She Pulls Away:
Pull her back. Wrap her in your arms and let her know you're not going anywhere.

    When She’s at Her Worst:
Look her in the eyes and tell her she’s still the most beautiful woman you’ve ever seen.

    When She Cries:
Don’t speak. Just hold her until the silence feels like peace again.

    When She Walks Ahead:
Sneak up, wrap your arms around her waist, and make her smile.

    When She’s Scared:
Stand beside her. Be her calm, her protector, her peace.

When She Rests on Your Shoulder:
Lift her chin and kiss her with love, not just desire.

    When She Steals Your Shirt:
Let her keep it—it's her comfort, her piece of you when you’re not there.

    When She Teases You:
Laugh with her, tease her back, and enjoy every moment.

    When She’s Distant:
Reassure her. Be present. Remind her you’re not giving up.

    When She Doubts You:
Stand firm. Back up your words with actions.

When She Says She Likes You:
She feels more than she’s letting on. Treat her heart with care.

When She Reaches for Your Hands:
Hold them like they’re the most precious things you’ve ever touched.

    When She Bumps Into You:
Smile, bump her back playfully, and keep that spark alive.

When She Tells You a Secret:
Guard it like gold—trust is sacred.

When She Looks in Your Eyes:
Don’t break the gaze. Let her see your soul.

    When She Misses You:
Understand—she’s hurting, even if she doesn’t say it.

    When She Says “It’s Over”:
She may still want you to fight for her.

And if she shares this with you…
It means she’s hoping you’ll understand her heart without her needing to say another word.

    Brothers—

If you love her, don’t play games with her heart.
If you love her, don’t cheat.
Don’t treat her like a trophy—treat her like a treasure.
Grab her neck when you kiss her - it's a real turn-on.
When she's mad: hug her tight and don't let go.
Call her to hear her voice.
Say goodnight and good morning—every day.
Be consistent. Be her calm. Be her home.

Let her wear your clothes, share your time, and take up space in your heart.
    Give her the world.
Treat her like she's all that matters to you.
Tease her and let her tease you back.
Stay up with her when she’s sick.
Watch the shows she loves, even if you don’t get the hype.
Kiss her in the pouring rain.
Make her feel like the only woman in the world—because to you, she should be.
Because real love is in the little things. And she’ll remember everything.

  • Ile-Akun is a small town where Chioma and Kunle lived before. They had known each other since they were kids. They climbed mango trees together, whispering great plans and dreams to each other long into the night . Meeting like that always rekindled a special spark between them. As they grew older, their friendship deepened, and it turned into something more. They started dating during their last year of secondary school.

Chioma was lively and outgoing , while Kunle was more of a quiet thinker . They balanced each other well, and everyone in the community admired their bond. However, as the long holiday approached, things started to change.

One sunny afternoon , Chioma excitedly planned her holiday. She wanted to join a charity group helping orphaned children in the community. Kunle, on the other hand, had plans to work at his uncle’s mechanic shop to save money for university. As they sat under a big Udala tree discussing their plans, Chioma said,

"Kunle, I really want to help these kids. It’s important to me. Can’t you consider joining me?"

Kunle shrugged and replied, "That’s great, Chioma, but I need to help my uncle this holiday. I can’t just leave that behind."

Chioma felt disappointment wash over her. She had really hoped he would want to be part of something meaningful. "But we can make a difference together! The program is only a few hours a week," she insisted.

"I just think working is more practical," Kunle said, trying to sound reasonable. "I need to focus on my future too."

The discussion turned into an argument.

"Kunle, you never want to do anything fun or different, do you? " Chioma exclaimed.
"And you never think about what’s necessary in life! " Kunle shouted back.

After that day, they barely spoke. The silence between them grew heavier. Chioma signed up for the volunteering program, while Kunle spent long hours at the mechanic shop, fixing cars and motorcycles . Once, they used to gist and laugh together, but now, everything was different. They would see each other at the junction where people sold roasted corn and suya but barely exchanged words.

Weeks passed, and soon, the town announced the annual Ile-Akun New Yam Festival . Everyone was excited—it was a tradition for Chioma and Kunle to attend together. But this year was different. Chioma wanted to spend time with her new friends from the volunteer group, leaving Kunle alone at home, feeling left out .

On the day of the festival, the air was filled with the aroma of jollof rice, grilled fish, and palm wine . Chioma had fun dancing to Afrobeats đŸ•șđŸŸ, playing ayo olopon , and helping set up stalls. Yet, a part of her missed Kunle’s company. She caught a glimpse of him across the street, laughing with some guys near a suya stand. Seeing him enjoy himself without her made her heart ache .

Kunle also spotted her, their eyes locked for a few seconds. Memories of childhood, of sneaking puff-puff from Mama Nkechi’s roadside shop, of watching Nollywood movies together, flooded his mind. But just as quickly as the moment came, it disappeared, and they both turned away.

After the festival, Chioma felt lonely. She realized how much she missed Kunle . One evening, as the sun set in golden hues over the red earth , she decided to visit him. She knocked on his door, her heart beating fast. Finally, Kunle opened it, surprised to see her.

"Hi," Chioma said softly, playing with the edge of her Ankara dress.

"Hey," Kunle replied, his voice carrying both surprise and caution.

They stood there in silence before Chioma finally spoke.

    "I’ve missed you, Kunle. "

"I missed you too," Kunle admitted. "But things have been… complicated."

"I know," she sighed. "I thought this holiday would bring us closer, but it feels like the opposite happened."

Kunle nodded, rubbing his forehead. "I didn’t mean to push you away. I just thought I needed to focus on work."

"I understand, but I also wanted to share this experience with you," Chioma replied softly. "I didn’t want to lose you."

Kunle looked down, realization hitting him. "I guess I was so focused on my own plans that I didn’t see what I was missing."

Chioma stepped closer. "Can we fix this? I think we should support each other, but communication is key."

Kunle smiled for the first time in weeks . "Okay. I’ll try to make more time for us and listen to you. I promise to support your dreams as long as I have breath."

They both exhaled, as if a weight had been lifted. The warmth of resolution spread between them like the first rain after harmattan . Chioma reached out and held Kunle’s hand .

"Let’s promise to always talk, no matter what."

"Deal," Kunle said, his heart lighter.

From that day, they made a real effort to balance their lives. Kunle sometimes helped at the orphanage, and Chioma brought food to the mechanic shop while they chatted. They learned to respect and appreciate each other even more.

As the long holiday ended and school resumed, they knew their bond had grown stronger. One evening, sitting on their favorite bench under the stars , Kunle turned to Chioma and said,

"I think we can face anything if we just keep talking."

Chioma smiled. "We are a team, Kunle. No matter what."

And that began a new chapter for Chioma and Kunle—side by side, ready to take on whatever life threw at them.
