  • TOUCHING THE LIVES OF ALMAJIRIS AND WOMEN ON THE STREETS OF JALINGO – A DAY OF LOVE AND IMPACT- ROHHI

Yesterday, As the Global Humanitarian Ambassador and Representative of ROHHI, i had the honour of joining the incredible Royal Hearts Humanitarian Foundation (ROHHI) family as we stormed the streets of Jalingo to bring hope, joy, and relief to two often-overlooked groups the Almajiris in motor parks and the women selling vegetables and perishable goods by the roadside.

It was a deeply emotional and unforgettable experience. We were able to distribute clothing and financial support to the women, and gave out slippers, little token, and words of encouragement to the Almajiris. The joy, prayers, and smiles we received in return were priceless. That is a true reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can light up hearts and transform lives.

Seeing people smile and bless God because of our little sacrifice brought tears of joy to my eyes.

Special thanks to our tireless and devoted Country Project Coordinator (CPC), Barr. Amb. Stella Ahijo Musa, for her exemplary leadership, and to our outstanding ROHHI Nigeria Directors, whose commitment made this outreach a reality. Pastor Ayuba Ardo Tijos, Apostle Caleb Dinki, Amb. Ali Saidu Yola, Amb. Aisha Bello Muhammad, Amb. Rukaiya, Amb. Fati, Amb. Affos Musa Peace, Amb. Tabitha Ishaya, Engr. Tony Matinjah, And my dependable Vice President, Amb. Abdullahi Hassan. It was a joy and privilege working with you all. You are the strength and heart of this vision.

We are also sincerely grateful to all our partners and supporters within and outside Nigeria. • KIDNEY STONES
Kidney stones (as illustrated), can be as tiny as a grain of sand, or as large as a golf ball.

They’re sources of extreme pain, bloody urine and constant infections.

If left untreated, kidney stones can permanently damage your kidneys.

    Let’s talk about them 👇🏼

    WHAT ARE KIDNEY STONES?

Kidney stones are hard masses of minerals and salts that form inside the urinary tract: Kidneys, ureter, bladder or urethra.

They form from high levels of natural waste products in the urine, which include:
    - Calcium
    - Oxalate
    - Urate
    - Cystine
    - Xanthine and
    - Phosphate.

Overtime, these salts crystallize together and form a stone.

    ARE THERE TYPES?

    Yes, there’re 4 major types:

    - Calcium oxalate stones, which are the most common and account for 80% of kidney stones.

    - Uric acid stones, which are mostly seen in people who lose too much fluid or eat a high protein diet.

    - Struvite stones, which are mostly due to a bacterial infection e.g constant UTIs

    - Cystine stones, which are due to an inherited disorder.

Each type has a different cause and treatment.

WHAT INCREASES YOUR RISK OF KIDNEY STONES?

    - Dehydration
    - Diet high in salt, protein, sugar or oxalate (spinach, nuts, beets)
    - Obesity
    - Digestive diseases like IBD and Crohn’s disease
    - Family history
    - Some medications like calcium based antacids and loop diuretics.

    WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS?

So many people are not aware of kidney stones till they block the urinary tract.

    Common symptoms include:
    - Severe flank or lower back pain (that radiates to the groin)
    - Pain while urinating
    - Blood in urine
    - Nausea or vomiting
    - Constant urination
    - Cloudy or foul smelling urine
    - Fever/chills (If this is present, it’s best to see a doctor)

    WHAT ARE THE COMPLICATIONS?

Ignoring kidney stones can lead to:

    - Recurrent urinary tract infections
    - Kidney infection
    - Hydronephrosis (swelling of the kidney)
    - Permanent kidney damage
    - Sepsis (Blood infection)LIFESTYLE TIPS AND PREVENTION

It’s important to prevent kidney stones in the first place.

    You do this by:
    - Drinking plenty of water (Aim for 2.5 to 3 liters daily). This helps reduce the concentration of urine.

    - Reduce sodium intake (Think salted snacks and packaged foods)

    - Limit animal proteins and foods rich in oxalate (beet, spinach), especially if you have a family history of kidney stones.

    - Don’t overdo calcium supplements

    - Maintain a healthy weight

    - Treat underlying cause of the stones (UTIs, gout etc)

    - Monitor urine pH frequently if prone to uric acid stones.Kidney stones are painful, recurring and can be dangerous if ignored.

Once they form, they need help to be passed out.

It could be from drinking more water, taking medications or having a non-invasive procedure.

With proper diagnosis and prompt intervention, you can avoid permanent kidney damage.
    Keep following for more updates.

*Shall we pray?* May God help us to be cautious, protect us from every chronic and deadly disease, heal those who are experiencing sickness in their bodies now, and guide our government to be sensitive to the needs of the people. In Jesus' name, I pray!!

  • THUNDER OF HUNGER
    An empty stomach humbles
    Its echo rumbles like earthquake
    Makes anyone beside you shake
As if roused by a hungry lion
Ready to devour its own victim
You remain cool, yet hot faced
Shame is not a lame excuse, but
    Why blame me this empty-handed
    Wrangle of bowls revolting rumble
    There's nothing inappropriate about
My behavior, am just starving and
An empty stomach is fluidly insane
    Churning of gasses on emptiness

Before you are quick to judge me
Please, offer me no empty lessons
I know just what to do to avoid the
Roar of an empty, hungry stomach
Even as just any starving person
    Knows food can alleviate starvation
However, that knowledge in itself is
Never the same as the actual food
Of what good is head knowledge if
It's not practical or tangible material

There's so much hunger in the world
Yet, food is not a shortage commodity
It's the priority for profit that's to blame
There's no elite sect without dire poverty
Rulers are in power not change anything
It's their role to maintain the status quo
Group areas act not based on race, but
On social status and elite privilege trace
One place for the great wealth founders
One place for the middle working class
No place for the vast majority of people

  • LOVE AND BULLET
    PART 1
The air in Lagos was thick with the smell of roasted plantain, diesel fumes, and something else—danger.
Detective Adaobi "Ava" Nwachukwu adjusted the tight red dress clinging to her curves, her high heels clicking against the cracked pavement as she walked toward the most notorious nightclub in the city—"The Viper’s Nest."
    This wasn’t her.
Ava was used to bulletproof vests, not sequins. She was trained to chase criminals through the slums of Ajegunle, not sway her hips to Afrobeats in a room full of drug dealers and killers. But tonight, she wasn’t Ava the detective.
Tonight, she was "Lola Adebayo"—a runaway Lagos socialite with a fake criminal record, a sharp tongue, and a body men would kill for.
    Her mission?
    Get close to "The Lion."
    Obinna "The Lion" Eze.
The most feared drug lord in Nigeria. The man who controlled the underworld from Lagos to Port Harcourt. The ghost the NDLEA had been hunting for years.
The club’s bouncers—two massive men with scars and cold eyes—eyed her as she approached. One of them licked his lips. The other gripped her arm a little too tight.
"Who sent you?" he growled in Pidgin.
Ava smirked, slipping into her role like a second skin. "Tell Obinna that Lola is here. And that he’s been ignoring my calls."
The bouncers exchanged glances. Then, with a sharp nod, they let her pass.
Inside, the club was a different world. The bass of Burna Boy’s latest hit vibrated through her bones. Smoke curled in the air, mixing with the scent of expensive whiskey and sweat. Men in designer agbadas and gold chains lounged on plush couches, their eyes tracking her like she was fresh meat.
But Ava didn’t look at them.
    Her gaze locked onto him.
At the very back of the club, surrounded by armed men and beautiful women, sat Obinna Eze.
Tall. Dark. Impossibly handsome. Dressed in an all-black agbada that screamed power. A gold Rolex glinted on his wrist. A cigar dangled between his fingers.
And his eyes—God, his eyes—were watching her like she was the only person in the room.
Ava’s heart pounded, but she didn’t falter. She sauntered toward him, hips swaying, lips curved in a confident smirk.
One of his bodyguards stepped forward, blocking her path.
    Obinna lifted a single finger.
    The guard moved.
Silence fell over his table as Ava stopped in front of him.
    "Obinna," she purred.
He took a slow drag of his cigar, his gaze traveling down her body and back up. "Lola," he finally said, his voice deep, smooth, and laced with danger. "I’ve been hearing stories about you."
    "Good ones, I hope."
"Depends." He leaned forward, his cologne—something expensive, something foreign—wrapping around her. "You’re either the best thing that’s walked into my club… or the worst."
Ava held his stare, her pulse racing. This was the game. One wrong word, one wrong move, and she’d disappear before sunrise.
But then Obinna did something unexpected.
    He smiled.
And in that moment, Ava realized something terrifying—
    She wasn’t scared of him.
    She was scared of herself.
Because the way her body reacted to him?
    That was the real danger.
And that… that could get her killed.
    TO BE CONTINUED…

  • *12 COMMANDMENTS OF A HEALTHY MARRIAGE*

Marriage is a journey, not a sprint. These timeless principles, if practiced sincerely, can make your love life rich, fulfilling, and long-lasting.

    1. Never Stop Communicating
A relationship d!es the moment communication breaks down. Talk often. Talk openly. Talk honestly. Whether it’s laughter, serious talks, or simply checking in during the day—keep the conversation flowing. Silence builds walls.

Action Tip: Have daily "heart-to-heart" moments, even if it’s just 10 minutes before bed.

    2. Pray Together
Couples that kneel together, stand stronger together. Prayer invites God into your relationship as a counselor, protector, and teacher. Submitting to God helps you submit in love to one another.

Action Tip: Create a shared prayer list and pray over it together weekly.

    3. Don't W€aponize $ex
$ex is not a reward or a punishment—it's a covenant bond. Using it to manipulate your partner causes deep emotional wounds. Keep $ex sacred, frequent, and full of mutual affection.

Action Tip: Talk about your $exual needs openly without judgment.

    4. No Secrets, No Lies
Hiding things destr0ys trust. Lies may feel small today, but they erode intimacy tomorrow. Transparency builds safety.

Action Tip: Commit to “full disclosure” zones—times when you speak openly with no fear of judgment.

    5. Grow Together, Not Apart
Compatibility is not just about shared interests—it's about growing side-by-side spiritually, emotionally, financially, and professionally. Don’t let one partner evolve while the other stagnates.

Action Tip: Take a course, budget together, join a group, or set shared goals every quarter.

    6. Make Decisions Together
Marriage is not a solo career. Major decisions must be mutual. When one person leads without the other, resentment builds.

Action Tip: Have a “couples board meeting” monthly to discuss finances, plans, and life decisions.

    7. Keep Emotional Intimacy Reserved for Each Other

Let no one be closer to you emotionally than your partner. Don’t let a friend, colleague, or even family member take your spouse’s emotional seat.

Action Tip: Share your deepest thoughts, fears, and joys with your spouse before anyone else.

    8. Don’t Stop Being the Lover You Were at the Start
Keep the charm, compliments, and sweet gestures alive. Familiarity should not breed laziness. Keep watering the plant of love.

Action Tip: Bring back “dating days”—even if it’s just a walk, movie night, or surprise text.

    9. Don’t Sleep Angry
Bittern€ss multiplies overnight. Don’t give anger a place to sleep in your bed. Resolve issues before you rest.

Action Tip: Use this phrase often: “I value us more than this fight. Let’s talk.”

    10. Do Not Cheat, Flirt, or Entertain Infidelity
Even the strongest love will collapse under the weight of betrayal.

Faithfulness is not just physical—it’s emotional, digital, and mental.

Action Tip: Avoid private, flirty conversations with the opposite $ex, and set clear boundaries.

    11. Support Each Other’s Dreams and Purpose

Your partner is not just a spouse—they are a person with dreams, goals, and a divine calling. When one pursues purpose and the other doesn’t care, frustration sets in. Be their cheerleader, not their critic.

Action Tip: Ask, “How can I help you get closer to your dream this year?” and follow through.

    12. Forgive Quickly and Completely
Every relationship will experience hurt. The difference between a lasting marriage and a broken one is how quickly and sincerely you forgive. Holding grudges pois0ns your connection.

Action Tip: Practice saying, “I was wrong. I’m sorry. Please forgive me.” And be quick to extend grace when your spouse says the same.

Which of these do you think couples struggle with the most?
    Share your thoughts

    FINAL THOUGHT:
A thriving relationship takes intention, prayer, humility, and consistency. Love isn’t built in a day, but it can be broken in a moment. Guard it, nurture it, and grow in it together.

Which of these commandments speaks to you most today?

*12 COMMANDMENTS OF A HEALTHY MARRIAGE🔥* Marriage is a journey, not a sprint. These timeless principles, if practiced sincerely, can make your love life rich, fulfilling, and long-lasting. 1. 🌹Never Stop Communicating 🗣️ A relationship d!es the moment communication breaks down. Talk often. Talk openly. Talk honestly. Whether it’s laughter, serious talks, or simply checking in during the day—keep the conversation flowing. Silence builds walls. 💡Action Tip: Have daily "heart-to-heart" moments, even if it’s just 10 minutes before bed. 2. 🌹Pray Together 🙏 Couples that kneel together, stand stronger together. Prayer invites God into your relationship as a counselor, protector, and teacher. Submitting to God helps you submit in love to one another. 💡Action Tip: Create a shared prayer list and pray over it together weekly. 3. 🌹Don't W€aponize $ex ❌🍑 $ex is not a reward or a punishment—it's a covenant bond. Using it to manipulate your partner causes deep emotional wounds. Keep $ex sacred, frequent, and full of mutual affection. 💡Action Tip: Talk about your $exual needs openly without judgment. 4. 🌹No Secrets, No Lies 🚫🤐 Hiding things destr0ys trust. Lies may feel small today, but they erode intimacy tomorrow. Transparency builds safety. 💡Action Tip: Commit to “full disclosure” zones—times when you speak openly with no fear of judgment. 5. 🌹Grow Together, Not Apart 📈💑 Compatibility is not just about shared interests—it's about growing side-by-side spiritually, emotionally, financially, and professionally. Don’t let one partner evolve while the other stagnates. 💡Action Tip: Take a course, budget together, join a group, or set shared goals every quarter. 6. 🌹Make Decisions Together 🤝 Marriage is not a solo career. Major decisions must be mutual. When one person leads without the other, resentment builds. 💡Action Tip: Have a “couples board meeting” monthly to discuss finances, plans, and life decisions. 7. 🌹Keep Emotional Intimacy Reserved for Each Other 💞 Let no one be closer to you emotionally than your partner. Don’t let a friend, colleague, or even family member take your spouse’s emotional seat. 💡Action Tip: Share your deepest thoughts, fears, and joys with your spouse before anyone else. 8. 🌹Don’t Stop Being the Lover You Were at the Start 💐 Keep the charm, compliments, and sweet gestures alive. Familiarity should not breed laziness. Keep watering the plant of love. 💡Action Tip: Bring back “dating days”—even if it’s just a walk, movie night, or surprise text. 9. 🌹Don’t Sleep Angry 😠💤 Bittern€ss multiplies overnight. Don’t give anger a place to sleep in your bed. Resolve issues before you rest. 💡Action Tip: Use this phrase often: “I value us more than this fight. Let’s talk.” 10. 🌹Do Not Cheat, Flirt, or Entertain Infidelity 🚫💔 Even the strongest love will collapse under the weight of betrayal. Faithfulness is not just physical—it’s emotional, digital, and mental. 💡Action Tip: Avoid private, flirty conversations with the opposite $ex, and set clear boundaries. 11. 🌹Support Each Other’s Dreams and Purpose 🌱✨ Your partner is not just a spouse—they are a person with dreams, goals, and a divine calling. When one pursues purpose and the other doesn’t care, frustration sets in. Be their cheerleader, not their critic. 💡Action Tip: Ask, “How can I help you get closer to your dream this year?” and follow through. 12. 🌹Forgive Quickly and Completely 💔➡️❤️ Every relationship will experience hurt. The difference between a lasting marriage and a broken one is how quickly and sincerely you forgive. Holding grudges pois0ns your connection. 💡Action Tip: Practice saying, “I was wrong. I’m sorry. Please forgive me.” And be quick to extend grace when your spouse says the same. Which of these do you think couples struggle with the most? Share your thoughts 👇 ❤️ FINAL THOUGHT: A thriving relationship takes intention, prayer, humility, and consistency. Love isn’t built in a day, but it can be broken in a moment. Guard it, nurture it, and grow in it together. Which of these commandments speaks to you most today? You will not fail in marriage in Jesus name Kindly share this message with your loved ones 🙏

  • FORMER Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, yesterday, explained why he and other members of the G5 Governors’ Forum opposed the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the 2023 elections.

But in a push back, the former Vice President, described them as frustrated opportunists, who are searching for relevance.

Also, the PDP similarly, accused Ortom of acting out of personal interest rather than genuine concern for fairness and equity in the 2023 elections.

This came as a former Presidential aspirant, Mr Dele Momodu formally resigned from the PDP, citing what he described as the hijacking of the party by antidemocratic forces.

Ortom, a leading member of the G5 group of PDP governors, said the party’s failure to respect equity, fairness, and justice was the reason they chose to stand against it.

Ortom said the G5 had insisted that the presidency should shift to the South after eight years of Northern rule under President Muhammadu Buhari, but the PDP’s decision to field Atiku, also a Northerner, went against that principle.

“I acted as I did because we had expected the PDP to uphold equity, fairness, and justice, values I hold dear.

“When the majority of PDP members supported a Northern candidate, we deemed it unjust. We’ve always stood for equity, fairness, and justice, and we felt the presidency should alternate between the North and South for eight years each,” he said.

As chairman of the PDP’s zoning committee, Ortom noted that although the committee recommended an open contest, he personally pushed for a Southern candidate.

As chairman of the PDP’s zoning committee, Ortom noted that although the committee recommended an open contest, he personally pushed for a Southern candidate.

On the role of Nyesom Wike, now Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, in the crisis, Ortom revealed, “We fought for Wike to be the PDP’s presidential candidate, but unfortunately, he didn’t secure the nomination. We also believed he should have been the running mate. I was part of the 20-member committee tasked with selecting a running mate, and 16 of us supported Wike. However, the candidate and the party leadership decided otherwise.”

Ortom defended supporting opposition candidates in 2023, saying politics was based on interests. “Politics revolves around interests. There’s no permanent enemy or friend in politics. It’s about protecting the interests of your community, your people, and yourself,” he stated.

He also addressed criticism that he and Wike tried to “destroy” the PDP by supporting opposition candidates. Ortom compared their strategy to that of other PDP members who backed Peter Obi of the Labour Party or Bola Tinubu of the APC.

“Peter Obi wasn’t in the PDP, but we agreed on a strategic partnership to demonstrate our influence. Some of us supported Peter Obi, others supported Tinubu, and we ended up with the current government. If God has given us President Bola Tinubu, why shouldn’t we support him?” Ortom added.

Looking to the 2027 elections, Ortom reaffirmed his support for a Southern presidential candidate and stressed the importance of respecting power rotation.

“My position is clear. I will support a Southern candidate. I see no reason to support a Northern candidate in 2027. By 2031, if someone from the South expresses interest in the presidency, I will still advocate for it to shift to the North. That’s based on my belief in equity and fairness.”

Ortom on criticism over alleged bias in Benue State politics, where he is accused of favouring the Tiv ethnic group, said: “I’ve fought for fairness and have advised other ethnic groups on what they need to do. I agree it’s unfair for one group to dominate the governorship since the creation of Benue State. However, politics also involves the majority. The Tiv people occupy Zones A and B, while the Idoma and Igede are in Zone C. It’s a matter of political dynamics, and I’ve encouraged other groups to organise and assert themselves.”

  • The Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Lagos is undergoing enhancements to increase its capacity from 650,000 barrels per day to 700,000 barrels per day.

The upgrade, intended to increase the facility’s nameplate capacity by an additional 50,000 barrels per day, is anticipated to be completed by the fourth quarter of this year.

During a recent tour of the refinery in Lekki, Lagos, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the President of the Dangote Group, shared insights with both guests and journalists.

Dangote mentioned that the largest single-train refinery may not operate at full capacity this year due to ongoing modifications. However, he is confident that these adjustments will enhance the refinery's performance.

Dangote has stated that as of July 2025, the Residue Fluid Catalytic Cracking unit is functioning at 85% of its maximum capability.

RFCC is a process employed in oil refineries to transform heavy leftover feedstocks into higher-value, lighter products like gasoline, LPG, and diesel.

He said, “Our RFCC is at 85 per cent. We are not up to 100 per cent because there are some modifications that we are doing. It will finish by the end of the year, and we believe we will get to 700,000 bpd, not even 650,000, because all the other components that we have and all the other departments have all (reached 100 per cent). Some are even doing up to 145 per cent. So, we’ve done very well in that area.

“As a company, we bought 10 million barrels of crude this month. So, 10 million barrels this month means that at the capacity we are, it’s about 55 per cent coming from the US.”
