  • DON'T GO AWAY!

MANY ARE NOT READY TO STUDY THE WORD BUT CAN WAKE UP VERY EARLY TO CHAT OR WATCH CNN

EVERY GIFT OF GOD NOT SERVICED WILL DIE A NATURAL DEATH

    - Bishop David Oyedepo

Bishop Oyedepo has charged all believers to beware of distractions that prevent them from their spiritual disciplines. While admonishing the congregation during the second service of the Special Easter Celebration Service at Faith Tabernacle Canaanland, he said "Some will take the Bible and in two minutes, they have slept. Church Gist. When they are watching TV, they can stay awake for two hours without blinking. Two solid hours with junk, no lesson. He is awake. But let us pray, he is dozing off in one minute. "let us chat", he is excited even early in the morning. They are traps of the devil."

He further said "You may not like my approach but I know what I am doing, I bought my last newspaper in 1993. They talk about me a lot, that's good. They are for people to read. I can't be reading what you are saying about me, I know me more than you know me. I have one TV in my house and office and it has never seen power. Church Gist. You can't mistakenly turn it on, it was never connected. Whether it is still working or not, nobody knows. Warranty has gone. Can I leave my house and go and be watching in the office? No! But you know how many of you do that. The business is dying and you are in front of CNN. They say "don't go away" and you are there. What are you looking for? To take time out and seek the way forward, you don't have. I said to you before, those who make news don't watch news. They are busy making news for watchers to keep watching. I see you enlisted among newsmakers. Every gift of God that is unserviced will die a natural death."

  • Aba Power Launches Prepaid Meter Rollout, Creates Over 350 Jobs in Nigeria

Aba Power, Nigeria’s newest electricity distribution company, announced the launch of a prepaid meter rollout starting this month, which is set to create over 350 jobs in Abia State. The initiative aims to provide modern prepaid meters to all 350,000 customers in the Aba Ring-fenced Area within a year, replacing the estimated billing system.

Edise Ekong, Senior Brand and Communication Manager at Aba Power, revealed on Monday that the job creation stems from partnerships with three meter manufacturing firms: Kayz Consortium, Chint Power and Energy Services, and Eve Electric. Each partner is expected to generate over 100 direct jobs, including roles for meter assemblers, installers, transporters, warehouse workers, and security personnel.
Kayz Consortium will lead the initiative, assembling 90,000 meters from April to December 2025 at Aba Power’s premises in Osisoma Industrial Layout.

The firm is bringing eight expatriates from China to supervise a 130-person workforce and ensure quality control. These expatriates will train local workers to continue meter assembly and installation after their departure.

Starting in May, Chint Power and Energy Services and Eve Electric, both Chinese firms, will each deploy 34 installers to begin mass meter installations. Local companies, HAMPOC Utilities Limited and M E Meters, will also contribute to the project. Kayz Consortium is set to install 20,000 meters in April, followed by an additional 20,000 meters by the other firms within four weeks.

Ekong emphasized that the rollout will enhance transparency and accountability, benefiting both customers and the company. “Meters make for a win-win situation, ensuring customer satisfaction and ending complaints about estimated billing,” he said.

Fire and Air signs can energize each other, while Earth and Water signs offer stability and emotional depth. However, challenging aspects between signs can also create growth and attraction, highlighting that individual birth charts offer a more nuanced understanding than sun signs alone.

  • BREAKING: President Tinubu meets Suspended Governor Fubara in London over Rivers political crisis

According to The Africa Report, the meeting took place in London last week, shortly after Tinubu left Paris.

The meeting, it was learnt, was at the insistence of Governor Fubara, who has been desperate to return to office since the president declared a state of emergency in oil-rich Rivers State.

During the meeting, Fubara promised to make some compromises.

Negotiations are ongoing, but from all indications, his suspension will be lifted before the six-month deadline,” said an adviser to the president who wished to remain anonymous because he was not authorised to speak to the press.

Another presidential aide said Fubara is also open to joining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to ingratiate himself with the president and then obtain cover.

“If Fubara joins the APC, it means the president’s chances of winning Rivers State are much higher,” he says.

The Africa Report was informed that Fubara’s estranged godfather, Nyesom Wike, was not part of the meeting and was uncomfortable with such meetings taking place behind his back.

However, Tinubu is expected to broker a meeting between Fubara, Wike, and the Rivers State lawmakers to find a lasting solution to the crisis in the state.

  • 7 THINGS THAT CAN MAKE YOU BROKE FASTER THAN VILLAGE PEOPLE

Forget jazz, forget enemies from the village—some of you are going broke at lightning speed, and it’s not because of witchcraft. Your own lifestyle is the real problem!

If you're always wondering "Who is eating my money?"—relax, Oga. The answer is you.

    BRUTAL THREAD:

    1. CHASING EVERY WOMAN YOU SEE

You think you're James Bond, moving from one fine girl to another, sponsoring their hair, nails, and data? Brother, you are your own Yahoo boy.

One babe says “I need urgent 2K”—you send.

Another one says “My rent is due”—you pay.

Next thing, your account balance is calling for GoFundMe.

Meanwhile, the same girls are in group chats laughing at you: “This guy dey try sha.”

Solution: Stop being an ATM with no PIN code. Focus on one woman or yourself first.

    2. LIVING LIKE A BIG BOY WHEN YOUR ACCOUNT BALANCE IS SHOUTING HELP

Your salary is 50K, but you're in clubs ordering Hennessy like Davido. You don’t even have a car, but you're buying drinks for strangers—WHO SENT YOU?

Rich men are saving, you are spraying money.

Dangote is investing, you are doing “Odogwu” at the bar.

Elon Musk is buying companies, you are buying bottles for slay queens who don’t know your surname.

When the landlord comes for rent, you’ll start saying “Boss, abeg, things hard.”

Solution: Cut down on fake luxury. Even Jeff Bezos wears simple T-shirts. Be wise.

    3. SENDING MONEY TO FAMILY LIKE CBN

Your uncle calls: “We need money for burial.”
Your aunt calls: “No food in the house.”
    Your younger brother: “School fees.”

Now your account is empty, but when you need help? Nobody picks your call.

Oga, you are not the Minister of Finance. Even government doesn’t share free money like you do!

Solution: Learn to say NO sometimes! Help when you can, but don’t let family turn you into their personal budget.

    4. ALWAYS BUYING THE LATEST PHONE TO IMPRESS WHO?

Last month, you were using iPhone 12.
This month, you saw iPhone 15 Pro Max and sold your kidney to buy it.
Next month, iPhone 16 Ultra Mega Max will drop—what will you sell next? Your destiny?

Meanwhile, the person you’re trying to impress is using Tecno Pop 5 and doesn’t care.

Solution: If your current phone is working, rest. Your future is more important than “Dynamic Island.”

    5. FALLING FOR EVERY FAKE INVESTMENT SCHEME

They told you "Invest 50K, get 500K in 2 days."

You ran like Bolt, deposited your money.

Now, they’ve blocked you, and you’re writing epistles on Facebook: “Dear Nigerians, beware of fraudsters!”

Oga, they didn’t scam you, you scammed yourself!

Any investment that sounds like magic money is a Ponzi scheme in disguise.

Solution: If you don’t understand the business, don’t put your money there. Learn to invest wisely!

    6. GOING BROKE JUST TO IMPRESS SOCIAL MEDIA

Your house rent is due, but you're buying designer shoes to take pictures for Instagram. Who told you “likes and comments” can pay rent?

    You posted “Soft life only.”

But in real life, you’re trekking and borrowing money for food.

If your phone falls, you’ll cry because you can’t afford to fix it.

Solution: Stop forming fake rich life. Invest first, flex later.

    7. BEING TOO LAZY TO MAKE MORE MONEY

You sit at home, scrolling Facebook from morning till night, complaining: “No job, Nigeria is hard.”

Meanwhile, opportunities are passing you by! Are you expecting an angel to drop money from the sky?

People are making money online—you are watching TikTok videos all day.

People are learning skills—you are arguing about football.

People are opening businesses—you are waiting for your rich uncle to die so you can inherit land.

Solution: Get up and hustle! Even the Bible says “A lazy man shall not eat.”

    BOTTOM LINE:

If you're always broke, stop blaming village people. Your habits are the real witchcraft!

    Live within your means.

    Invest before you flex.

Stop impressing people who don’t care.

    Make smart financial decisions.

If this post hit you hard, don’t cry. Just change your ways!
