  • *OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL*

    *DATE: THURSDAY, JULY 24TH, 2025*

*THEME: ANOINT AND PRAY OVER YOUR CHILDREN*

    *MEMORISE:*
*"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” - (Joel 2:28)*

    *READ: 1 Samuel 16:12-13 (KJV)*

    12. So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said, “Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!”

    13. Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

    *MESSAGE:*

Parents cannot raise their children all by themselves. This is because many other factors are involved in a child's destiny that parents cannot control. Some of these factors include the environment where their children are growing up, the people they interact with, their genetic makeup, and even spiritual forces that surround their entire family and the children in particular. This is why, beyond all the things that parents do physically to raise their children, they must also pray for them regularly and seek God's help to raise them correctly. Parents must also anoint and pray over their children regularly to protect them from evil forces.

In the short time that I have spent on the earth, I have seen the enemy work all manners of evil in the lives of children. Many times, some parents heap blames on their children for lacking focus, being unserious, or being lazy when they do not succeed, especially in their academics. They get frustrated that they are spending so much money on them without good results. They may not know that there might be forces of darkness that are hindering the child's progress. It is possible for a student to study very hard and just blank out in the examination hall. There was a case at the University of Lagos some years ago where, right in the examination hall, a young man just began to urinate non-stop. There was some pandemonium, and those around him began to call an ambulance. However, he told them that this was not the case for the doctor and that they should call his pastor instead. His pastor prayed for him, and he was healed.

The anointing sets a child apart for greatness. Although David was destined to be the king of Israel, that destiny did not find expression until he was anointed. After he was anointed, the Bible says that the Spirit of the Lord came upon him from that day forward (1 Samuel 16:13). In the very next chapter, he killed the Philistine giant, Goliath, and became a national figure (1 Samuel 17:48-51). If you are a parent, speak God's counsel over your children and anoint them regularly. Let them know that they belong to God and that anyone who touches them touches the apple of God's eye (Zechariah 2:8). I pray that God will protect every child from the attacks of the enemy, in Jesus' name.

    *KEY POINT:*
Anointing and praying over children regularly protects them from the devil's plans and sets them apart for greatness.

    *BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:*
    Isaiah 35-37

    *AUTHOR: PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE*

*HYMN 16 - 'TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS*

    1. 'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
    Just to take Him at His Word;
    Just to rest upon His promise;
Just to know, "Thus saith the Lord."

    *CHORUS:*
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
    How I've proved Him o'er and o'er!
    Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!

    2. O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
    Just to trust His cleansing blood;
Just in simple faith to plunge me
    'Neath the healing cleansing flood!

    3. Yes, 'tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
    Just from sin and self to cease;
    Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace.

    4. I'm so glad I learn'd to trust Thee,
    Precious Jesus, Saviour, Friend,
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

  • Steve Harvey shares an interesting story of how he took Michael Jackson to church — and the entire neighborhood pulled up that Sunday!

“Me and Michael were friends. When he was in that trouble, he said — ‘Man, I think I need to go to church.’

I called Chip Murray at the time, who was the pastor of AME Christian Church. I said — ‘Hey man, Michael wants to go to church.’ And he was like, ‘Michael who?’ I said, ‘Michael Jackson.’

So I went to Michael's hotel. Mike had bought the whole Beverly Wilshire Hotel and remodeled it. (He lived there.) He got tired of driving from Neverland to go to court.

So when I came to his house to pick him up, he came to the elevator with a moped He was riding the moped down the hallway... Mike is one of the coolest people I’ve ever met.

He came out dressed to go to church in this naval suit with one stripe going down the leg, and I looked at Mike and said — ‘Hey man, where your suit at? You going to church dressed like CAPTAIN CRUNCH?’ He said, ‘Ehhh, you so crazy.’

And we get into the car — he said, ‘Steve, I don't want anybody to know I'm coming.’

We got off the freeway, off the 10 on Crenshaw... people were lined all over the bridge, all down Crenshaw. I don’t know who found out he was coming to church — because I didn’t tell a soul. And we went in that church… and the church was packed!”

  • *10 ways to Honour Your Pastor*

Your pastor is a gift from God, called to feed, guide, and watch over your soul. Honouring your pastor isn’t just an act of kindness—it’s a biblical principle that brings blessing into your life and strengthens the church. Here are 10 ways you can show honour and appreciation:

    (1) Pray for Them Regularly

Cover your pastor and their family in prayer. Ask God to strengthen them, protect them, and give them fresh vision.

    (2) Speak Well of Them

Guard your words. Refuse to join gossip or criticism. Instead, build them up with your speech—both publicly and privately.

    (3) Support Their Vision

Get involved in the work God has laid on their heart. Serve faithfully and help carry the load.

    (4) Give Generously

Sow into their lives and the ministry financially. Honour often requires sacrifice.

    (5) Celebrate Milestones

Remember their birthday, anniversary, or special achievements. A simple gesture can mean so much.

    (6) Be Teachable

Receive the Word with humility. Apply their teachings to your life and show you value the spiritual nourishment you’re receiving.

    (7) Protect Their Time

Respect their need for rest and family time. Avoid unnecessary demands outside appropriate times.

    (8) Encourage Them

Send a message, write a note, or simply say, “Thank you for all you do.” Encouragement fuels their passion.

    (9) Defend Their Integrity

Stand up for your pastor when others speak negatively. Be a shield, not a dagger.

    (10) Live Out What You’ve Learned
The greatest honour you can give is to grow spiritually and live in a way that glorifies God.

“Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.”

    (1Thessalonians 5:12–13)

When you honour your pastor, you honour God who called and sent them. Let’s be intentional in showing appreciation to men of God .

  • DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY A Daily Devotional by Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche

    THURSDAY, 24TH JULY 2025.

    TOPIC: UNSTOPPABLE BY WISDOM.

SCRIPTURE: And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him, And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. ACTS 7:9-10.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Divine strategy is the answer to satanic conspiracy.

The scripture reveals that wisdom is what makes people unstoppable. The secret of consistent progress despite confrontations or life’s challenges is the Wisdom of God.
In Genesis 37:41, we see that Joseph could not be stopped by the negative forces of life. He literarily battled from his childhood. His first battle was the battle against envy and conspiracy from his brothers. His second battle was the battle of false accusation from the wife of Potiphar. His third battle was the battle of disappointment from the butler whose dream he interpreted.

One man battled with conspiracy, accusation, envy, and disappointment. But despite these many battles, he could not be stopped from becoming everything that God wanted him to become. Joseph reached where God wanted him to reach.
Now, what was the secret of Joseph?
Acts 7:9-10 shows us two things that made Joseph who he was: And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him, And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

Joseph had a twin-secret that made him – a dynamite and a detonator working together. Joseph had both the favour and the wisdom of God. These two worked together in the life of Joseph and made him unstoppable.
I would like you to take note of the following key points concerning the power of wisdom in the life of Joseph.

    1. Where wisdom is at work especially the wisdom of God, obstacles don’t survive. Obstacles may arise but they cannot survive. No devil can block the path of a man in whose life the wisdom of God is at work.

    2. Divine strategy is the answer to satanic conspiracy.
There is an answer to every satanic conspiracy; it is called divine strategy. There is a strategy from heaven that gives you the ability to handle conspiracies from hell.

    3. In the battle of your destiny, your most important weapon is the wisdom of God. Where the wisdom of God is at work, adversaries have no place (Luke 21:15). The weapon of wisdom brought Joseph out of the prison and kept him out of the prison. He could not return to the prison but moved to the palace by the instrumentality of the wisdom of God.

Beloved, if you are a victim of satanic conspiracy, envy, jealousy, false accusation, disappointment, the wisdom that made Joseph unstoppable is released upon you right now. No devil can stop you from fulfilling your destiny in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: Divine strategy is the answer to satanic conspiracy.

    ASSIGNMENT(S):
    1. Ask God for wisdom to triumph over the forces of resistance.
    2. Apply the wisdom of God in all you do.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the wisdom to consistently triumph over my adversaries. I am unstoppable by the instrumentality of Your Wisdom, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: UNSTOPPABLE BY WISDOM.

    DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 28-30

QUOTE: Those who apply mentality cannot be victims of satanic captivity. Culled from the book, 10 Principal Secrets of Principal People by Dr Paul Enenche.

  • *Jesus* answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, *Except* a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of *God.*
The only criteria for making it to God's kingdom is " *BE BORN AGAIN"*
    Does born again mean:
    *Going to church ?
*Sweeping the house of God ?
    *Giving offering ?
    *Being the highest donor ?
    *Being a prayer warrior ?
    *Doing Usher work ?
    *Being a good preacher?
    *Coming to church early?
*Taking care of the less privileged?
    *Going to church meetings?,
    *Taking care of your pastor?
*Being a chorister or having the best voice?
*Bishop, pope, conference president, Rev. Father, Arch Bishop, Rev. Dr this and that, Convention president General overseer, etc?
    * To be *BORN AGAIN** is to live your life like that of *JESUS* *CHRIST*

Father, Arch Bishop, Rev. Dr this and that, Convention president General overseer, etc?❌ * To be *BORN AGAIN** is to live your life like that of *JESUS* *CHRIST* Do away with your evil ways as states in (Gal. 5:19-21) *LET US PRAY* 🙏🙏 Heavenly father, the world is full of sin, temptations and trials everywhere, Pls, do not let our hearts to draw back unto pedition. • 15 COMMON LIES ABOUT CHURCH WEDDINGS YOU MUST STOP BELIEVING!

As a Christian marriage therapist, I’ve seen many young couples fall into the trap of wedding expectations that have no biblical or spiritual backing. These lies have led many into needless stress, debt, and even discouragement, all in the name of trying to have the "perfect" church wedding.

It’s time to debunk these myths and free you to focus on what truly matters — a blessed and beautiful marriage, not just a wedding event.

Here are 15 lies you should stop believing about Church weddings:

    1. It Must Be on a Saturday
Not true. You can get married on any day of the week. In fact, the traditional wedding day used to be Thursday — hence the name “Wednesday” (i.e., Wed the next day). Your wedding is not about the day but the covenant.

    2. It Must Be Inside the Church Auditorium
You don’t have to wed at the altar or sanctuary. A pastor’s office, a chapel, or even a simple hall can host your church wedding, as long as it’s officiated properly before witnesses.

    3. You Must Wear a White Gown
White is a tradition, not a commandment. You can wear native attire, modest colors, or even a family dress style. Purity is a heart condition, not fabric color.

    4. You Must Have a Bridal Train
A bridal train is for aesthetics, not necessity. What truly matters is bridal training, not bridal train. Invest in marriage preparation more than wedding decoration.

    5. You Must Have a Grand Reception
Receptions are great for celebration, but not mandatory. If you can’t afford one, a thanksgiving service or light refreshment is more than enough.

    6. You Must Wear a Wedding Ring
Rings are symbolic, not spiritual. The core of Christian wedding is the exchange of vows and blessings in God’s presence. Rings are an outward sign, but not a spiritual requirement.

    7. A Wedding Cake Is Compulsory
A cake is lovely but optional. If you don’t have funds for it, don’t stretch yourself. It’s better to have a strong financial foundation than an extravagant dessert.

    8. Only White Gowns Represent Purity
Purity is not a fabric issue. Wearing pink, gold, ivory, or traditional fabrics does not mean you're impure. God looks at the heart, not the color of your clothing.

    9. The Wedding Must Be Loud and Expensive
Some of the best weddings are modest, simple, and intimate. A loud wedding doesn't equal a lasting marriage. Let your focus be love, not luxury.

    10. You Must Do Pre-Wedding Photoshoots
Pre-wedding shoots are trendy but not compulsory. Don’t borrow or break your budget just to impress people who won’t help you pay rent after the honeymoon.

    11. Bridal Shower Is a Church Requirement
Bridal showers are Hollywood creations, not biblical instructions. Enjoy one if you can afford it, but don’t see it as a spiritual obligation.

    12. You Can Be Pregnant and Still Have a Church Wedding
Most Bible-based churches do not conduct weddings for pregnant couples. The idea is to maintain biblical order and present the bride and groom for a new covenant, not with added complications. This doesn’t mean condemnation, but rather a call to do things rightly and in order.

    13. You Must Buy a New Wedding Gown
Many reputable stores now rent gowns for a fraction of the price. There's no shame in renting — it’s smart, especially for a dress you’ll likely wear just once.

    14. You Must Invite a Huge Crowd
A wedding is not a concert. You don’t need a crowd to validate your union. A few loved ones, your pastor, and your faith are more than enough to begin your journey.

    15. Expensive Wedding Equals Lasting Marriage
There is no connection between an expensive wedding and a successful marriage. In fact, financial pressure from a wedding can cause early conflict in marriage. Focus on your future, not impressing guests.

Lastly, dear singles and engaged couples, let wisdom guide you. A church wedding is about covenant, not cosmetics. Don’t fall for societal pressure. Start your marriage on faith, peace, and wise financial decisions.

May the Lord bless your union with joy and lasting love — not just a memorable wedding day.

TOPIC: WHAT MATTERS MOST IN LIFE

SCRIPTURE: Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. ECCLESIASTES 12:13

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not whether we are citizens of a particular nation, but whether we are citizens of Heaven; that is what matters most.
We live in a world where unprofitable activities and ungodly pleasure have become the cravings of many people. It is obvious that many people do not know what really matters in life, so they end up chasing shadows. Many people ended the journey of life in regret because they were busy chasing shadows on earth in their lifetime. They ended up wasting their lives and energy in the wrong pursuit.

This is why it is important to know what matters most in life, so we don’t end up in regret at the end of our journey on earth. Today, we shall be looking at the things that matter most in life.

    1. It is not who we are but whose we are, that matters most in life (1John 5:4-5, John 3:16). If you are a doctor, lawyer, millionaire, billionaire, etc. it does not matter as much as whom you belong to. People’s achievements on earth do not matter if they do not have a functional relationship with God.

    2. It is not whether we are citizens of a particular nation, but whether we are citizens of Heaven; that is what matters most in life. There are those who celebrate how they became citizens of the USA, the UK, Germany, etc. All that is alright, but it does not matter which passport you have, if you do not have the passport to Heaven; it is a waste of life (Revelation 20:15).

    3. It is not where we are going to spend holidays and vacations, but where we are going to spend eternity that matters most. Many people say, “I am going to spend summer holiday in Europe. I am going to Dubai.” It is alright, but where are you going to spend eternity. It is what matters most.

    4. It is not the quality of the physical dress on our body but the purity of our spiritual garment that matters most. In Zechariah 3:1-4, Joshua, the High Priest, as a minister, was clothed in filthy garments before the Angel. There are people who look like king Solomon in their physical apperance but look like vultures in the spirit.
    5. It is not the amount of money in your bank account but the eternal deposits in our kingdom account with God that matters. For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul (Mark 8:36)?

Beloved, to live a fulfilled life on earth and end well in eternity, you have to focus on the things that matter most in life.
Remember this: It is not whether we are citizens of a particular nation but whether we are citizens of Heaven; that is what matters most in life.

    ASSIGNMENT(S):
    1. Assess your heart: where would you be if you found yourself in eternity now?
    2. Determine to pursue only the things that matter most in life.
    3. Make demands on God’s grace to walk in His Will.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to focus on the things that matter most in life. Remove every distraction from my life and cause me to walk in Your Will Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

    DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 22-24

QUOTE: Any step taken outside God is a step into disaster. Culled from the book, 21 Foolish Things People Do by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT: The nearest heavenly body to us is the moon, and the moon is approximately 245,000 miles away.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The Lord help you to focus on that which really matters in life in Jesus Name.

  • *DO NOT BE UNFAIR TO YOUR SPOUSE*

    1. Your biggest client calls you but you missed their phone call, you quickly return the call. But when you see a missed call from your spouse, you do not even bother

    2. You get a new boss at work, you go out of your way to make a good impression by buying that new boss a gift. But when was the last time you even bothered to make a good impression on your spouse?

    3. You take a selfie with the President, a celebrity, you are quick to post it on social media. But you cannot even post a photo to celebrate your spouse, you don't want to be associated with your spouse

    4. You cheer on other children who do great things on TV and in the community. But you have little kind words for the children you have with your spouse

    5. When you win an award in your profession, you are full of gratitude. But when your spouse compliments you, you say no "Thank you", you rubbish the praises from your spouse

    6. When you are talking with your pastor, you display a peaceful and warm demeanor. But when you talk with your spouse your countenance is unwelcoming

    7. When you see other people well dressed, you compliment them, even strangers; whether with your eyes or words. But when your spouse makes effort to look good, you give no attention

    8. When you are having a meeting with a client, you meet the client in a luxurious restaurant. But you can't even take your spouse out on a date

    9. When you're out with your friends, you talk so highly about a politician, a footballer, an actor or actress, a musician who doesn't even know you. But you have no warm words to say about the spouse who has been with you through thick and thin

    10. When a public figure asks to meet you, you stop everything you are doing and make it for the meeting on time. But your spouse has to beg you for your audience

    11. When your opinion is asked at work, you willingly give it. But when your spouse asks for your advice, you disengage letting your spouse walk alone

    12. When your friends ask for money, when you're making public contributions, you give willingly and put up a show; you even buy alcohol for others. But when your spouse asks for money or your children ask for something, you are mean, making excuses why you can't give, declining the request, asking what is the justification for the request

    13. At work, you are a team player because you seek the growth of the company. But in your marriage, you do not exhibit teamwork, you don't build your love

    14. When you write official emails you are courteous, using the words please, yours faithfully and hoping you are well. But when texting or talking with your spouse you are cold, making orders and speaking in a demeaning tone

    *Why?*

Why do we choose to be mean to the one person we claim to love, we married, we live with, we have vowed to? The one person who gives us his/her all daily.

It is time to set our priorities straight, time to treat our spouse as special
