As I mused over today's text and memory verse together, it became apparent that the text is the answer to the memory verse.

The people rejected the path leading to God because they had forgotten the author of the path.

There is a path that leads to the ancient of days; it is an ancient path, the old path, it is the good way.

This path is hidden from those who are doomed. You have to make a diligent search to find this ancient path.

It is the path of holiness. It is the forgotten path of righteousness. It is the rejected path of submission to God's perfect purpose and plan.

Many roads may lead elsewhere, but this is the only way that leads to the Lord God of hosts that dwells above the cherubims.

Humanity has travelled down the path of destruction for ages, and many lives have been lost and wasted.

However, the Lord God of restoration, sent His Son, Jesus our Lord as the Redeemer to redeem and to restore all men back to their maker, and He became the path leading all men back to God.

In today's text, the Lord Jesus Christ as a child with His Foster parents grew in wisdom and in stature, waxed strong in spirit and *increased in favour with God and man.*

Its important to note that our Lord and Saviour was not launched into His earthly ministry until He was fully developed into the man that could be trusted by God for His messianic assignment. And part of His full development was the accumulation of sufficient favour of God upon His life.

From our text, we saw that He already had favour or the divine essence on His life from birth, but He needed to increase in favour with God and men.

Divine favour is the rich essence and the deposit of God's presence and power upon a person's life.

Much more than any other times in these last days, we need God's rich presence upon our lives.

It is the secret of our distinction in times like this.

MESSAGE
God the Father instituted prayer as a means of restoring the original fellowship that once existed between Him and Man before the fall.

It should be noted that God the Father is our greatest asset, and our relationship with Him is our ticket to everything He has made.

All that we will ever need for life and godliness were made available to us through our relationship with God.

Unfortunately, the relationship was lost through sin in the fall. Jesus' death was to bring us back to Him, and through prayers, we are to keep the restored relationship.

When we therefore pray, we are to align ourselves with the Father and His perfect will and thus walk in power and dominion over all things.
