    TOPIC: YOUR FUTURE

    MEMORISE:
    “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18 (KJV)

    READ: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:16-17

    16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

    17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

    MESSAGE:

    Over the past two days, I discussed the relationship between your past and present. Today, I will conclude the series by discussing about your future and how your present will impact it.

    As a believer, your future is secure because only God controls the past, the present, and the future - He is Alpha and Omega. This is why Colossians 1:27 says, "...Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Furthermore, Isaiah 3:10 says, "Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him..." These are promises from God, assuring you that your future will be alright.

    Your future can be categorised into two: your future on earth and your future in eternity. If you're a genuine Christian, you shouldn't worry about tomorrow because God has promised to take care of you here on earth. In John 14:13, Jesus said that if you ask anything in His name, it will be given to you. He said in Matthew 7:9-11 that even in our wicked state, we humans would never give our children stones when they ask for bread, so how would we not expect Him to give us every good thing that we ask Him for? As long as you are His child, God has promised that you will lack no good thing here on earth.

    God has also promised to take care of you when you leave the earth. In John 14:1-3, Jesus said:

    "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

    As a genuine child of God, when you leave this world, a mansion in a city made of pure gold is waiting for you in heaven (Revelation 21:18)

    Beloved, if you haven't given your life to Jesus Christ, you are in the kingdom of darkness, and you are courting double jeopardy. On earth, satan will have the right to make a mess of you because you belong to his kingdom, and in eternity, you will be in the lake of fire, far away from God, who is the source of all peace, joy, and light. If you haven't given your life to Jesus, turn to Him right now because, outside Him, your future will be terrible (Isaiah 3:11).

    KEY POINT:
    If you are in Christ and you remain in Him, your future is blessed.

    BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: ISAIAH 50-52

    AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

    HYMNAL 5: BLESSED ASSURANCE

    1 Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine;
    Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
    Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
    Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.

    Chorus:
    This is my story, this is my song,
    Praising my Saviour all the day long.
    This is my story, this is my song,
    Praising my Saviour all the day long.

    2 Perfect submission, perfect delight,
    Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
    Angels descending, bring from above,
    Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

    3 Perfect submission, all is at rest,
    I in my Saviour am happy and blest;
    Watching and waiting, looking above,
    Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.

  • "Anytime I Step Out, People Think I'm Nancy Isime!" — i don't even know who sent Nancy Isime to look like me, honestly. Because the way people run at me with their phones — you'd think Beyoncé just landed in Lagos.

    One time, I was at the mall minding my business (aka pricing what I couldn’t afford), and next thing — “Nancy! Nancy!” People gathered. Cameras flashing. I froze. I even started checking my own body like, "Wait oh, is it me?"

    Let me tell you, I've signed at least five fake autographs, smiled for like 200 selfies, and once, someone even asked me when my next Netflix series is dropping. I just said “very soon” — before I disgrace myself.

    Look, I know we have similar skin tone, low cut, fine face and all, but please, I’m Aruta Ujor Joy, not Nancy Isime’s twin sister from Benin. At this point, I might just start charging appearance fees

    But hey, I’m not complaining. If people think I’m Nancy, it means I'm doing something right. So, Nancy dear, if you ever see this — let’s do a skit together and confuse everybody once and for all "—Aruta Joy Tells Her Side

    Now over to you — do I really look like her or is it my village people playing camera tricks?

  • SO EMOTIONAL

    This guy right here, Naira Marley, is proof of the danger of a single story.

    From all indications, this guy had no hands in the kpaing of Mohbad. Yeyebrities like Very Dark Man (initially), Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh were the ones who propagated that rumor and Nigerians ran with the narrative.

    Before Nigerians could understand that Naira Marley wasn't even in Nigeria when Mohbad kpaied and that he was involved in a fight which caused his hands to swell and ears to bleed, it was too late.

    Naira Marley took the fall for what he didn't know about. He was cancelled everywhere, and till today, many people still don't believe he was innocent.

    Y'all owe Naira Marley an apology.
