A sergeant of the Nigerian Army punished a corporal by ordering him to salute one million times. While the corporal was about to carry out the punishment, a General happened to walk by and asked what was going on. The sergeant stood at attention and explained proudly: “Sir! I ordered him to salute one million times for misconduct.” The General nodded with a smile and said: “Good! But remember, in the military, salutes are always returned.
