I DON'T WANT TO DECEIVE YOU OR GIVE YOU AN IMPRESSION THAT ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS PRAY.

PRAYER IS FUNDAMENTAL, BUT TO GET YOUR MIRACLE, YOU MUST WORK.

I'M NOT RAISING A JELLY CONGREGATION AS A JELLY PASTOR

- Bishop David Abioye

While preaching at the Unstoppable Promotion Service, Bishop Abioye emphasized on the need for diligence and the responsibilities we have to carry out as believers, in addition to the prayers we make.

He said, "You see, we take many things for granted in the name of spirituality. We pray for miracles without working for it. Paul the Apostle talked about the gift of working of miracles. Miracles are worked out. I don't want to deceive you. I don't want to be a 'jelly Pastor' raising a 'jelly congregation', giving you an impression that all you need to do is pray. Prayer is fundamental, but goes with additions of responsibilities to carry out."

He further gave an example of students who pray to pass an exam without studying. He stated that as a Minister, he doesn't just stand before the Congregation on a Sunday morning without diligently working nights upon nights.
