Where do the riverbeds on Mars come from? 🌍🚀 As water disappeared from Mars, it left behind mineral traces on the surface. One of these traces is the riverbed discovered by the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter spacecraft. The orbital probe used its color and stereoscopic imaging system to detect chloride salt deposits in the cratered region of Terra Sirenum. These deposits were likely formed from small bodies of water that evaporated over time.
