MONDAY, 28TH JULY 2025.

TOPIC: THE POWER OF PRAISE

SCRIPTURE: Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them? And the Lord said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand. JUDGES 1:1, 2.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot carry praise and end up a loser.

In the journey of life, people encounter different challenging phases. Most of the time, they wonder how to approach them and come out triumphant. Our anchor Scripture gives us a clue: it says that Judah shall go up first. And Judah means praise. So, in every new phase of your life, let Praise go up first.

Now, our praise will achieve four things at every junction of our lives:

1. Praise is key to existence on the frontline.
You cannot carry praise and come last. Confront every new phase of your life with praise. Let God know that you are not ready to come last.

2. Praise is key to conquest and victory in life.
The children of Israel asked God, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first? And God said, Judah. That implies that Judah will be victorious; he will confirm the defeat of the adversary. So, our praise is key to our victory in every new season. You cannot carry praise and end up a loser.

3. Praise is key to possession.
In our anchor scripture, God said, I have delivered the land into his hand. That is, I have delivered the land into Judah’s (Praise’s) hand. So, the things that belong to us can be delivered into our hands by our praise. You cannot know praise and be empty handed.

4. Praise is key to a successful beginning.
The children of Israel were wondering how to step into the new phase of life they were entering, and God told them to offer praise. So, to start with praise is to start well, and to start well is to end well.

Remember this: You cannot carry praise and end up a loser.

ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Take out time to praise God.
2. Start your day with praise and end it with praise.
3. Live a life that will cause people to glorify God.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your mercy and love. Be glorified! I will worship You for as long as I live for there is none like You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

ALL THINGS ARE READY

Text: Matthew 22: 1 - 4

1 And Jesus answered and spoke unto them again by parable and said,

2 The kingdom of heaven is like into a certain king, which made marriage for his son.

3 And sent forth his servant to call them that were bidden to the wedding and they would not come.

4 Again, he sent forth other servants saying tell them which are bided behold, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and darling are killed and all things are ready. Come into the marriage. ( KJV)

MESSAGE
Grace is God's prepared table, without man's involvement. It is what God did for man, not what man did for God. It is God reaching to man not man reaching to God.

When we talk about a prepared table, we mean something that have been made ready you only need to come and partake of it.

Secondly, by a prepared table, we are talking about what Christ did through his suffering,death, burial and resurrection to redeem humanity.

It is the price Christ paid through his death that no man was good enough to pay. There is only one person that can be called the lamb that takes away the sins of the world, that person is Christ.

He was God's sacrificial Lamb for humanity. He is the righteousness of God that made others righteous.

The Law talks about what man would do to be save. Grace talks about what Christ did to save humanity. The law was given to spiritually dead men to help them control their bodies until such a time. The spirit of man comes alive in Christ Jesus.

No one born under the law was spiritually alive. The law talks to the body but grace talks to the spirit of man in Christ Jesus.

The law is not for the New Testament Church. You are not to live by the law. You are to live by Faith and bear the fruit of the spirit.

Just as man was spiritually moved from the Kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of God, so you were moved from under the law to under Grace.

The works of Christ were not just natural works but Spiritual works. For instance, if they flog you now, it will not mean anything to anybody. It can be looked at as oppression or at best persecution. Nobody will benefit from it.

But when they flogged Christ it was a price for our healing. When the crown of thorns was forced on his head and blood gushed out , he paid for the curse of poverty

The Earth is no longer permitted to bring forth thorns and thistle to you. It doesn't matter what part of the earth you find yourself, Christ by this price has licensed you to succeed. Jesus did not die for himself, he died your death.

He has prepared a table for us, let us come and dine with him.

I pray that everything Christ came to offer we find practical expressions in our lives.

PRAYER POINT

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for your finished work on the cross of Calvary.
