Cane Sugar Coke to Join US Product Lineup

Coca-Cola confirmed it will launch a cane sugar–based version of its classic soda in the US later this year. The new product is designed to complement—not replace—the existing corn syrup–based version.

CEO James Quincey said the decision reflects evolving consumer expectations around sweeteners. Though many countries already enjoy cane sugar Coke, this will be a notable change for the US market.

The move gained political attention after Donald Trump claimed credit for the shift, though Coca-Cola hasn’t verified any political involvement.
