We just finished singing our worship hymn today ‘Standing On The Promises Of God My Saviour, Through Eternal Ages. The promises remain standing through eternal ages. No civilization can make any of the promises of God of no effect. Through eternal ages, let His praises reign. Those with me will see me marking my book when we sing the hymns because ‘speak to yourself in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.’ Through eternal ages! Don't ever think that civilization will make any aspect of the Word of God of no effect. His covenant remains binding while the earth remains. Through eternal ages let His praises reign. We have never seen it in this fashion, they are strange acts and strange works. Luke 5:26. Those are the exclusive reserve of those that love God. Things never seen, things never heard, things never thought of by man, they happened in their lives. Church Gist. I was sharing yesterday at the Covenant Hour of Prayer that breakthroughs in the Kingdom are not things you pursue, they come to you. Deuteronomy 28:1-2. We left out verse 1 and we are jumping around to experience verse 2 to 13. No! That's fraud! Verse 2 to 13 is predicated on our response to verse 1. That's breaking protocols. Welcome to your era of breakthroughs coming to you.

If you watch those testimonies that we have been hearing over the years, they are things that come to people. They are not craving after them. As they keep pursuing after God, those things start coming to them. That is the process. Nothing is more fulfilling than these things coming to you, not you craving after them. There is nothing magical about breakthrough, it is a function of your obedience of faith. Whatever He tells you to do, do it and breakthrough will be the product. Church Gist. They may not make sense to the human mind but they secure divine manifestation as confirmation. I couldn't see this place as the place but He said this is the place and I jumped at what He said in spite of my feelings. Now, it has become the place and from this forest, touching nations. Please mind what He says. Don't play smart when it comes to God's Word. Take it raw and swallow it all. Our own idea was a 50 acre property. That will be huge but here we are today. It comes to you.

What brought our church into the limelight globally was the Wonder Double Visitation, it came to me. I didn't go for it. “I, the God of Wonder Double, is visiting you.” Breakthroughs come to people who walk in obedience to God's Word. “Arise, get down to Lagos and raise me a people” came to me. Not that I went to it, I won't pray to come to Lagos. Church Gist. “You are planting 5,000 churches this year” came to me, I won't plan that and He did because it came from Him and obedience caught up with it. And now, “You are planting 10,000 churches this year.” I said God said He will plant because that is beyond our calculation and projections and He did. Breakthroughs are ordained to come to us, not this 20 days of prayer and fasting for breakthrough, you are wasting your energy. Without obedience, 100 days of prayer and fasting won't change your story. Forget it Sir.

Falana Berates Kemi Badenoch over claim that she cannot pass Nigerian citizenship to her children | ABK News

Renowned human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Femi Falana, has lashed out at British Conservative politician Kemi Badenoch over her claim that she cannot pass Nigerian citizenship to her children because she is a woman.

Badenoch, the former UK Secretary of State for Business and Trade and a leading figure in the Conservative Party, made the controversial remark during an interview with Fareed Zakaria on CNN on Sunday. Speaking about immigration and citizenship laws, she claimed Nigerian legislation does not allow women to confer nationality on their children.

“It’s virtually impossible, for example, to get Nigerian citizenship. I have that citizenship by virtue of my parents. I can’t give it to my children because I’m a woman,” Badenoch said. “Yet loads of Nigerians come to the UK and stay for a relatively free period of time, acquire British citizenship. We need to stop being naive.”

In a strongly worded response on Monday, Falana described Badenoch’s statement as “a display of utter ignorance” and accused her of misinforming the British public to score political points.

“In her desperate attempt to impress the British electorate, Kemi Badenoch keeps running down Nigeria,” Falana said in a statement issued in Lagos.

He cited Section 25(b) and (c) of the Nigerian Constitution to debunk her claims, stating clearly that a child born outside Nigeria to a Nigerian parent regardless of gender is entitled to citizenship.

“Contrary to her misleading claim, your children are Nigerians because you are a Nigerian,” Falana stated. “Her assertion that she cannot give Nigerian citizenship to her children because she is a woman is not in consonance with Nigerian law.”

He further referenced Section 42(2) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), which prohibits discrimination based on gender, birth, or class, saying, “Therefore, her two children are Nigerian citizens. The fact that she may not want them to claim it is irrelevant. For now, they are dual citizens of Britain and Nigeria.”

Falana also challenged Badenoch’s statement that Nigerian citizenship is “virtually impossible” for foreigners to obtain. He pointed out that Sections 26 and 27 of the Constitution allow foreigners to acquire Nigerian nationality through registration or naturalisation, once the legal requirements are met.

However, the senior advocate did acknowledge an area of concern in the law where gender inequality still exists.

“A woman married to a Nigerian man can be registered as a citizen, but the same privilege is not extended to a man married to a Nigerian woman. This reflects the patriarchal nature of the law. It should be urgently amended,” Falana said.

The debate has triggered reactions on both sides of the Atlantic, as Nigerians at home and abroad continue to challenge outdated gender provisions in legal frameworks.

On 15th July, 2025 a Lecturer named Dr Olabode Abimbola Ibikunle was said to have died while having s3x with a 22 year old student named Gloria Samuel.

He was a lecturer at the Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba in Kogi State, where the incident happened.
