Following the barrage of blacklash that trailed the Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo’s statement directing the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi to obtain clearance from him before coming to the State, the state government said Okpebholo is not Peter Obi, who, as Governor of Anambra State, detained Nasir El-Rufai when he visited.

DAILY POST reports that a gale of criticisms on various social media platforms and the press have been trailing the Governor Okpebholo’s statement made on Friday, July 18, 2025, directing Peter Obi to take permission from him before coming to the State.
