TOPIC: GIVE NO PLACE TO THE ENEMY

SCRIPTURE: Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. JOHN 14:30

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Don't give the devil any license to perpetuate his activity in your life by your character.
It has been confirmed that life is fraught with battles and confrontations. That is why those who attain greatness in life are usually those who have consistently fought and won the battles of life and destiny.

The truth is that the things that fight the lives and destinies of people are usually orchestrated by satan the devil and his agents.

In our anchor Scripture, Jesus said, the prince of this world cometh (John 14:30). So, at every point in time, the enemy is either leaving or trying to come in. We see in Job 1:7 that, Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. That is, he was always moving from place to place attacking one victim after another.
You see, the devil would not come and say, “I am the devil.” So, you would not know when the devil is around. But it is important to know the things that the devil organizes to battle your destiny. The major aims of the battles of destiny are both the distraction of focus and the destruction of life and destiny.

Now, what does the enemy use to battle lives and destinies?
We are looking at one of those weapons the enemy uses to battle lives and destinies, and that is Temptation.
Temptation is the attempt of the enemy to drag men into iniquity or compromise. He drags people into regrettable and destructive compromise.
Sometime ago, I told a group of people that unbelievers look for sin, but temptation or sin looks for Christians. Some unbelievers are on the internet calculating how to steal from people. They are scammers, and they do it for a living, that is their profession. But for a Christian, sin looks for him. Someone can visit a Christian engineer at a construction site and tell him, “Just ensure that my bill is approved. I will see you later.” The person can inflate the bill and promise to give the Christian engineer some money when the bill is approved. That is a temptation. It is an enemy of destiny.

Now, what do you do about these battles of destiny? Give no place to the enemy. Ephesians 4:27 says, Neither give place to the devil. The devil is looking for a place in your life; don’t give him any place. In other words, ensure that you maintain a solid grip on your life. Don't give the devil any license to perpetuate his activity in your life by your character. If you have a wrong character that is an invitation to the devil, change it. There are people whose characters, no level of anointing can change, except they decide to change themselves. At least ensure that the devil has no legal grounds in your life to continue his operation.
Remember this: Don't give the devil any license to perpetuate his activity in your life by your character.

    ASSIGNMENT(S):
    1. Put away any habit that invites the devil and his evil activities.
    2. Consistently take in the Word of God for the purification of your heart.
    3. Trust God not to fall into temptation.

PRAYER: Lord, open my eyes to the gimmicks of the devil. Grant me the grace to escape his trap, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

    DAILY BIBLE READING: Psalm 121-123

QUOTE: The strength of your will is what undergirds the strength of your destiny. Culled from the book, Deadly Enemies of Destiny by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT: Oysters can change gender depending on which is more advantageous for mating.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Receive the help of God to escape every trap of the enemy for your life in Jesus Name.

  • Good morning God's beloved. Thank God for another day. May God's presence go with you and your family all through this day, wading off satanic arrows. By the help of the Holy Spirit, rise above satanic limitations and embargoes. Whatever has been hindering favour from coming to you is cleared out of your way. By the hammer of the word of God, I scatter the horns of wicked spirits and wicked men that keeps people down in your family, where you work or do business, where you married from, where you're living etc. You're connected to Jesus, therefore no longer will you see shame. Begin to experience mysterious deliveries of favour in Jesus name. From now on, you'll know the correct thing to do at every crossroad. Everything your hands have started, your hands will also finish it in Jesus name. Today shall be your Wednesday of "I AM IN MY NEW."

  • *A SOFT ANSWER CAN STABILIZE THINGS AND TAKE YOU TO YOUR DESTINATION*

"A soft and gentle and thoughtful answer turns away wrath, But harsh and painful and careless words stir up anger." Proverbs 15:1[Amplified).

I was inside a public transport when a soldier at a check point ordered our driver to park his vehicle and for all the passengers to come down for a one on one search of persons and goods! Some of us were in a hurry. Some people felt he needed money that is why he chose to delay and frustrate us. A few zealous people took money and went to him. He said that his problem was not money, but the disrespectful and arrogant answer given by our driver. Unreserved apologies were then given and he cheerfully allowed us to proceed. *A lot of marital, family, workplace, organisational and national disputes are exacerbated by unkind answers and reactions.* Words are so powerful; more powerful than some guns and money. Ephesians 4:29 says: "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, *that it may minister grace unto the hearers.* Can we start developing a glossary of gracious words! Can we learn to say: "Oh, I am sorry, I think I misunderstand you; pardon my manners, please don't be angry with me, how can I make things right, can we please have a discussion on this, I am open to your views; kindly hear me out, I am finding ways that we could honour God better as we resolve this issue, kindly pray for me, I think I may be missing something, please don't give up on me, maybe I am not communicating properly, Oh Lord, please help me to say the right words to my beloved....!" Good words could be therapeutic, they bring healing and break the power of pride and disdain. *People may be as erratic, crazy and unreasonable; but we must not give them the keys of our peace, joy and progress by our careless responses!* Oh dear Lord, please help us to use gracious words in all we say in Jesus Christ name. Amen. Good morning.

  • What is Overfamiliarity?
Overfamiliarity is more than just being comfortable around someone. It's a state where you start to take the person, their position, and their words for granted. It can manifest as:
Disrespect: Ignoring or downplaying the prophet's counsel or authority.

Lack of Reverence: Becoming numb to the spiritual truths being shared, even if they were once impactful.

Taking Things for Granted: Failing to appreciate the time, effort, and grace offered by the prophet.

Criticism and Negativity: Focusing on perceived flaws or shortcomings rather than the overall message and ministry.
    Why is it a Problem?

    Hindered Spiritual Growth:
Overfamiliarity can block the flow of God's grace and anointing in your life.

    Offense and Division:
It can lead to taking offense at the prophet's words or actions, potentially causing division within the community.
    Missed Blessings:

When you fail to honor and respect the prophet's role, you may miss out on the blessings and breakthroughs that God intends for you.

    Damaged Relationships:
Overfamiliarity can erode the foundation of trust and respect in any relationship, including a spiritual one.

    Avoiding Overfamiliarity:
    Intentionally Honor:
Make a conscious effort to honor the prophet's position and the grace they carry.

    Value the Message:
Focus on the spiritual truths being shared and their potential impact on your life, rather than dwelling on personal preferences or opinions.

    Maintain Respect:
Be mindful of your words and actions, treating the prophet with the respect they deserve.
    Seek Understanding:
If you have questions or concerns, address them with humility and a desire to understand, rather than through criticism.

  • She fed a Poor Crippled Beggar Every Day, Until He Said I'm a Billionaire Part 1

This is the story of a poor girl named Isioma and a crippled beggar everyone laughed at. Isioma was just 18, yet still in Jss 3—a towering figure among classmates much younger than her. Her presence stood out in every classroom photograph, not because she sought attention, but because life had delayed her steps. Despite the whispers, the teasing, and the constant bullying about her age and size, she remained brilliant, the kind of girl who answered questions others were too scared to raise their hands for. Teachers admired her intellect, but students mocked what they didn’t understand. Behind her calm eyes was a mind that never stopped working, even when her body was drained.

Every afternoon, as the final bell rang and other students scattered toward homes and snacks, Isioma’s day was only beginning. She hurried to the roadside market, arms loaded with palm fruit assigned to her by her stepmother. There was no rest, no pause. She had to sell every last one before returning, or dinner would be a privilege denied. Hunger had taught her discipline, but not bitterness. Even with sweat clinging to her brow and her legs trembling from exhaustion, she greeted customers politely, held no grudges, and kept her spirit intact. She didn't complain—she endured, because in her heart, she knew life had more for her than the corners she was being pushed into.

Isioma had a quiet way of helping others, offering little services here and there—fetching water for the old, helping women carry goods from the market, watching over a neighbor’s stall without ever asking for a coin. She never demanded payment, only smiled and went her way, content with the small thank-yous or occasional tips. One day, her neighbor, Mama Tunde, pulled her aside and said sharply, “You keep doing things for free, but that’s not how the world works. You need to start collecting money, Isioma.” The girl simply looked down and replied gently, “But life isn’t always about money, ma. Sometimes, the peace you get from doing good is worth more than anything they can put in your hand.” At first, Mama Tunde scoffed at her words, shaking her head at what she thought was naivety. But over time, watching how Isioma’s kindness drew people in—how her genuine heart earned her more than money ever could—Mama Tunde began to see that maybe, just maybe, the poor girl understood something the rest of them had forgotten.

  • Standing Strong
"Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior." - Habakkuk 3:17-18

In times of uncertainty, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. But as the proverb goes, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." We can choose to find the silver lining and stand strong.

    Perseverance Pays
"Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." - James 1:4

The proverb "Fall seven times, stand up eight" reminds us that perseverance is key to overcoming challenges. Every setback is an opportunity to learn and grow.

    Trust in God's Plan
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

The proverb "Man proposes, God disposes" encourages us to trust in God's sovereignty. He has a plan to prosper us, and we can rest in His goodness.

    Community Matters
"Two are better than one... If either of them falls down, one can help the other up." - Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

The proverb "United we stand, divided we fall" highlights the importance of community support. Together, we can overcome even the toughest challenges.

    Conclusion
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

May these words of hope and encouragement inspire you to stand strong in the face of adversity. May you find perseverance, trust, and community support to guide you through challenging times. May God bless and guide you towards a brighter future.

  • O Loving Shepherd of our souls, I come before You with a heart open and ready to receive. In the midst of life's unending demands, grant me the grace to find quiet moments with You. Help me to embrace the stillness where Your voice can be heard, where Your comforting presence can be felt. Teach me to be like Mary, who chose what was better, and to learn from Martha, who found hope in her listening. May Your words, "I am the resurrection and the life," resonate within me, bringing peace to my troubled spirit and assurance of Your everlasting love. In the precious name of Jesus, our Living Hope, I offer this prayer. Amen.

Amen.
