    *TODAY IN HISTORY*

    * On this day in 1914, Britain declared war on Germany. Seen by many as the decision that began the first World War, Britain declared war on Germany after Germany refused to accept its ultimatum of getting out of Belgium.

    * On this day in 1984, the Republic of Upper Volta was Renamed Burkina Faso. The West African country was first created in 1958 as a self-governing French colony and gained its independence in 1960. In 1983, a military coup installed Captain Thomas Sankara as the country’s president. He changed the name of the country to Burkina Faso a year later on the coup’s anniversary.

  • Senior Lawyer, Ken Harris, has criticised suspended Senator for Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, for attempting to enforce a judgment she has already appealed, describing her actions as an attempt to “eat her cake and still have it”.

Harries made the remarks in a statement on Tuesday while reacting to Akpoti-Uduaghan’s presence at the National Assembly on Tuesday, where she reportedly attempted to enforce the July 4 judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja, which had ordered her recall.

He questioned whether her conduct, which he termed “taking the law into her own hands,” was an appropriate or lawful way to enforce a court ruling.

“In all my years of legal practice, I’ve never seen such a blatant display of lawlessness from someone who is supposed to be a federal lawmaker.

“How do you storm the National Assembly with a group of partisans under the guise of enforcing a judgment?”

“There are proper legal procedures for enforcing court judgments. It is not for individuals to create a crisis atmosphere and claim they are enforcing the law,” he added.

Reinstatement: Natasha to challenge N'Assembly action in higher court
Harries pointed out that Akpoti-Uduaghan had already filed an appeal against the same judgment about a week earlier, in which she challenged its validity and asked the Court of Appeal to overturn it.

He questioned the logic of her actions: “How can you seek to enforce a judgment you have openly rejected, appealed against, and asked to be set aside?

“Even if the judgment was still valid and enforceable, has she complied with all the orders contained in it, including the payment of N5 million and a public apology published in two newspapers and on her Facebook page?

“If she has failed to obey those aspects of the judgment, on what moral ground does she accuse the Senate leadership of lawlessness?” Harries asked.

He concluded by urging her legal team to properly advise her on upholding the rule of law.

“Anyone who seeks equity must hands in clear hands.

DON'T PLAY SMART WHEN IT COMES TO GOD'S WORD. TAKE IT RAW AND SWALLOW IT ALL

WE SERVE A STORY CHANGING GOD HERE IN WINNERS’. THIS IS A HOME OF TESTIMONIES

NO CIVILIZATION CAN MAKE ANY OF THE PROMISES OF GOD OF NO EFFECT

WITHOUT OBEDIENCE, 100 DAYS OF PRAYER AND FASTING WON'T CHANGE YOUR STORY

    - Bishop David Oyedepo on UNVEILING THE BREAKTHROUGH POWER OF LOVE (3A) at Covenant Day Of Business And Career Breakthrough Service || 20th July 2025 || Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland|| First Sunday Service || Part A

Psalm 65:4. God wants to satisfy your areas of need. As you stay connected in the Spirit, you must return with your package. Church Gist. He calls us to bless us. He has called you to bless you and you shall return blessed.

Heavenly Father, thank you for this awesome time in your presence. Do what only you can do here. Church Gist. Turn things around for your people, let the breakthrough agenda ordained for today answer in everyone's life. No more breakdowns, no more setbacks. You are breaking forth in the name of Jesus.

He has not called the seed of Jacob to seek Him in vain.
    - May this season mark the end of all pressures in your life.
    - May it mark the beginning of your going forward and never backward anymore. Church Gist.
This is a home of testimonies. We serve a story changing God here in Winners. He will change your story in the name of Jesus Christ.

We just finished singing our worship hymn today ‘Standing On The Promises Of God My Saviour, Through Eternal Ages. The promises remain standing through eternal ages. No civilization can make any of the promises of God of no effect. Through eternal ages, let His praises reign. Those with me will see me marking my book when we sing the hymns because ‘speak to yourself in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.’ Through eternal ages! Don't ever think that civilization will make any aspect of the Word of God of no effect. His covenant remains binding while the earth remains. Through eternal ages let His praises reign. Young people, there is no new generation Bible. Church Gist. Through eternal ages. No! There is no modern Bible. Through eternal ages, let His praise reign. His Word lives and abides forever. Through eternal ages, let His praise reign. Every statement of scripture is more current than today's newspaper. New every morning, applying to all ages and all through generations. Indestructible, incorruptible! May this truth sink into everyone today that God's Word is forever reliable. Putting God's Word to work will always work and for all ages. We are not dealing with something that is past, it applies to the present and holds the future and extends to eternity, shows the way there.

The Bible is the custodian of all breakthroughs in life. Holding on to what God says puts you in command of the happenings in your life. Matthew 4:4. Acts 5:20.

We are on part 3 of our teaching series captioned UNVEILING THE BREAKTHROUGH POWER OF LOVE. The pace setting, trail blazing power of love. 1 Corinthians 2:9 is our rider scripture. We have never seen it in this fashion, they are strange acts and strange works. Luke 5:26. Those are the exclusive reserve of those that love God. Things never seen, things never heard, things never thought of by man, they happened in their lives. Church Gist. I was sharing yesterday at the Covenant Hour of Prayer that breakthroughs in the Kingdom are not things you pursue, they come to you. Deuteronomy 28:1-2. We left out verse 1 and we are jumping around to experience verse 2 to 13. No! That's fraud! Verse 2 to 13 is predicated on our response to verse 1. That's breaking protocols. Welcome to your era of breakthroughs coming to you.

If you watch those testimonies that we have been hearing over the years, they are things that come to people. They are not craving after them. As they keep pursuing after God, those things start coming to them. That is the process. Nothing is more fulfilling than these things coming to you, not you craving after them. There is nothing magical about breakthrough, it is a function of your obedience of faith. Whatever He tells you to do, do it and breakthrough will be the product. Church Gist. They may not make sense to the human mind but they secure divine manifestation as confirmation. I couldn't see this place as the place but He said this is the place and I jumped at what He said in spite of my feelings. Now, it has become the place and from this forest, touching nations. Please mind what He says. Don't play smart when it comes to God's Word. Take it raw and swallow it all. Our own idea was a 50 acre property. That will be huge but here we are today. It comes to you.

What brought our church into the limelight globally was the Wonder Double Visitation, it came to me. I didn't go for it. “I, the God of Wonder Double, is visiting you.” Breakthroughs come to people who walk in obedience to God's Word. “Arise, get down to Lagos and raise me a people” came to me. Not that I went to it, I won't pray to come to Lagos. Church Gist. “You are planting 5,000 churches this year” came to me, I won't plan that and He did because it came from Him and obedience caught up with it. And now, “You are planting 10,000 churches this year.” I said God said He will plant because that is beyond our calculation and projections and He did. Breakthroughs are ordained to come to us, not this 20 days of prayer and fasting for breakthrough, you are wasting your energy. Without obedience, 100 days of prayer and fasting won't change your story. Forget it Sir.
