DANIEL 1:8 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your future is at the mercy of your nature. It has been confirmed that a person’s choices can be an accurate diagnosis of his character and mindset. The things a person does consistently can define his character, and Character determines destiny. Your future is at the mercy of your nature. Why was Esau not the carrier of the generational blessing in the lineage of Abraham? He was limited and deprived by his nature. So, your future is at the mercy of your nature. Your character is the limit of your destiny. Who you are is what determines where you will end up. For example, Daniel was a man of unimpeachable integrity and impeccable character. In Daniel 1:8, he refused to defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat. Similarly, in Daniel 6:4, they were trying to find fault with him, but they could not because he was faithful. Now, what was the outcome? Daniel continued in relevance from the reign of king Nebuchadnezzar to Belshazzer and from Belshazzer to Dairus and from Dairus to Cyrus. These four kings ruled for seventy years from the beginning of the captivity of Judah to the end of the captivity. Daniel was in power. The several cabinet reshuffle that came with regime change did not affect him. A new regime came and left; yet Daniel remained. Why? He had a character foundation that made his destiny unshakeable. Beloved, change of government is not the problem; it is either a favour bankruptcy or character bankruptcy. It is not the economic problem that is the challenge; there is something you can stand on that no economy, no geography, no history can affect your life. Beloved, what is my counsel today? 1. In all you do, ensure you maintain a solid character. Work on your character. A wise man once said that character is not a destination but a journey. The meaning is, you can be better today than you were yesterday. 2. Watch your thought because your input – what you hear, see, receive, determines your thought. Your thought is the basis of your action, habit, character and destiny. So, you are not doing anything about your character until you do something about what you feed into your mind. No aggression, no possession. You are welcome to the month of August. Get set to experience the goodness of God in unprecedented dimensions. Without a doubt, we serve a good and faithful God (Psalm 34:8). He is the God who means what He says and says what He means. That is why He will not withhold any good things (The anointing, good health, children, husband, wife, prosperity, etc.) from those who walk uprightly before Him (Psalm 84:11). The wickedness of the devil can never challenge the mercifulness and goodness of God. Beloved, it is important to note that there is nothing God says that He doesn’t do. He is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). His lielessness is the measure and container of His strength. What makes Him strong is that He cannot lie. His consistency is the reason for His immutability. And His immutability is the reason for His Divinity. If He can lie or change, then He is not qualified to be God. Now, if God is good, and releases to His people whatever He promises, then why are some people not in possession of what God has released for them? Today we shall be looking at two reasons: 1. Enemy contention. This is when the enemy is standing in the way to deny you what God has released for you (1Corinthians 16:9). The door of destiny, grace, influence and greatness is opened, but there may be many roadblocks, contentions and contenders, adversaries, demons, witches, wizards, etc. standing against it. But they are giving way today. 2. Enemy possession (Deuteronomy 2:24). This is when what is yours is in the hands of someone else. So, you must come to realize that there are things you are crying for, things that rightfully belong to you but are in the hands of the enemy or the wrong person. The question is: how do you take your possession? One of the keys to taking possession of what is yours is by the possession and deployment of spiritual aggression. It is called violent faith. The kingdom of God suffers violence, and the violent take it by force (Matthew 11:12). If what is yours is in the hands of the enemy, you don’t take it by begging; you take it by applying spiritual fire and pressure. For instance, when a lion came and took a lamb from David’s father’s flock under the care of David, David did not allow the lion to eat up the lamb. He did not say, “Thank you Lord for saving me from the lion.” He went after the lion, smote it and pulled out the lamb from its mouth (1Samuel 17:34:36). It is called aggression. Beloved, no violence, no victory. No venture, no future. No fire, no future. No aggression, no possession. You must discard spiritual timidity and gentility and embrace spiritual audacity, ferocity and brutality. Remember this: No violence, no victory. No aggression, no possession. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. TOPIC: THE DANGERS OF MARKETING OF THE FLESH SCRIPTURE: And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. Proverbs 7:10. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One of the worst things that can happen to a Christian is to become a tool in the hands of Satan the devil unknowingly. The marketing of the flesh connotes the exposure of sensitive parts of the body with the intention to seduce. From our anchor scripture above, it is established that there is an attire (a dressing) of a harlot. Commercial organizations market their products extensively through advertisement. In the same manner, the attire of a harlot is the attire that merchandises the human flesh as a product to be exploited. In this end time, there is the shameless showcasing of the flesh. It is now difficult to differentiate a Jezebel (immoral and seductive woman) from a Christian. They wear dresses that are very revealing and tight on their bodies, yet they come to church to sing and clap. The question is: who are they deceiving? Instead of advertising our spirituality, we live in a generation that seeks to advertise carnality. The truth is, each time you dress in a seductive manner, you are only advertising your body, and you seem to be saying, “Everybody, see me, look at how physically endowed I am: look at my chest, look at my back, look at how big my hips are; just take a look.” If you are such a person, the only thing you are good for is to be used by men. Beloved, one of the worst things that can happen to a Christian is to become a tool in the hands of satan, the devil unknowingly. The challenge is that many children of God have joined the children of the devil in fulfilling satan’s vision by directing people to the path of damnation. If the Master appears suddenly, can He call you, His daughter? When was the last time someone looked at you and became born again because of your appearance? When was the last time your life convicted someone and made the person ready to follow God? You have not even spoken yet, but the person is convicted. St Augustine of old once said, “Preach the gospel always, and when necessary, use words.” The meaning of that is, “Let your life do the major preaching.” When was the last time your life preached and people changed, not because you said anything, but because they watched you? When Moses delivered the daughters of Jethro, their father asked them, “How come you came home so early today?” They said, “An Egyptian helped us (Exodus 2:21). An Egyptian delivered us from the hands of the shepherds.” The question is, was Moses an Egyptian? Why did they call him an Egyptian? He grew up in the palace of Pharaoh and dressed in the attire of the Egyptians. So, when they saw him, they called him an Egyptian. There was nothing to show them he was a Hebrew. So, there is an Egyptian dress style. There is an appearance for the Hebrews and an appearance for the Egyptian. In our village, if they see a person dressing seductively, they will shout, “See a prostitute going.” God is calling us today to take Him seriously and take our souls seriously. The truth is, the way you live on earth determines where you will spend your eternity. ACTS 7:9-10. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Divine strategy is the answer to satanic conspiracy. The scripture reveals that wisdom is what makes people unstoppable. The secret of consistent progress despite confrontations or life’s challenges is the Wisdom of God. In Genesis 37:41, we see that Joseph could not be stopped by the negative forces of life. He literarily battled from his childhood. His first battle was the battle against envy and conspiracy from his brothers. His second battle was the battle of false accusation from the wife of Potiphar. His third battle was the battle of disappointment from the butler whose dream he interpreted. One man battled with conspiracy, accusation, envy, and disappointment. But despite these many battles, he could not be stopped from becoming everything that God wanted him to become. Joseph reached where God wanted him to reach. Now, what was the secret of Joseph? Joseph had a twin-secret that made him – a dynamite and a detonator working together. Joseph had both the favour and the wisdom of God. These two worked together in the life of Joseph and made him unstoppable. I would like you to take note of the following key points concerning the power of wisdom in the life of Joseph. 1. Where wisdom is at work especially the wisdom of God, obstacles don’t survive. Obstacles may arise but they cannot survive. No devil can block the path of a man in whose life the wisdom of God is at work. 2. Divine strategy is the answer to satanic conspiracy. There is an answer to every satanic conspiracy; it is called divine strategy. There is a strategy from heaven that gives you the ability to handle conspiracies from hell. 3. In the battle of your destiny, your most important weapon is the wisdom of God. Where the wisdom of God is at work, adversaries have no place (Luke 21:15). The weapon of wisdom brought Joseph out of the prison and kept him out of the prison. He could not return to the prison but moved to the palace by the instrumentality of the wisdom of God. Beloved, if you are a victim of satanic conspiracy, envy, jealousy, false accusation, disappointment, the wisdom that made Joseph unstoppable is released upon you right now. ECCLESIASTES 12:13 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not whether we are citizens of a particular nation, but whether we are citizens of Heaven; that is what matters most. We live in a world where unprofitable activities and ungodly pleasure have become the cravings of many people. It is obvious that many people do not know what really matters in life, so they end up chasing shadows. Many people ended the journey of life in regret because they were busy chasing shadows on earth in their lifetime. They ended up wasting their lives and energy in the wrong pursuit. This is why it is important to know what matters most in life, so we don’t end up in regret at the end of our journey on earth. Today, we shall be looking at the things that matter most in life. 1. It is not who we are but whose we are, that matters most in life (1John 5:4-5, John 3:16). If you are a doctor, lawyer, millionaire, billionaire, etc. it does not matter as much as whom you belong to. People’s achievements on earth do not matter if they do not have a functional relationship with God. 2. It is not whether we are citizens of a particular nation, but whether we are citizens of Heaven; that is what matters most in life. There are those who celebrate how they became citizens of the USA, the UK, Germany, etc. All that is alright, but it does not matter which passport you have, if you do not have the passport to Heaven; it is a waste of life (Revelation 20:15). 3. It is not where we are going to spend holidays and vacations, but where we are going to spend eternity that matters most. Many people say, “I am going to spend summer holiday in Europe. I am going to Dubai.” It is alright, but where are you going to spend eternity. It is what matters most. 4. It is not the quality of the physical dress on our body but the purity of our spiritual garment that matters most. In Zechariah 3:1-4, Joshua, the High Priest, as a minister, was clothed in filthy garments before the Angel. There are people who look like king Solomon in their physical apperance but look like vultures in the spirit. 5. It is not the amount of money in your bank account but the eternal deposits in our kingdom account with God that matters. For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul (Mark 8:36)? Beloved, to live a fulfilled life on earth and end well in eternity, you have to focus on the things that matter most in life. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. MARK 11:22-23. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If God can raise the dead, He can heal the living. Sometime ago, a woman testified in one of our services about her son who was healed of the cancer of the jaw. The boy was diagnosed with cancer of the jaw, and they went to the hospital for treatment. They were told that they needed to carry out surgery on the boy. They needed to make a bone graft by taking a bone from his thigh to the jawbone. Now, while they were all thinking of that process, not knowing what to do next, they came to church. The boy went through the Foundation Class and the Discipleship and Leadership Training Course (DLTC). When he finished the DLTC, he re-enrolled and went through the course for the second time. When he was done, he went through it again for the third time. After this, his spirit was charged up with faith. Then, one day, they ran into me, and the mother said, “Please Sir, pray for my boy.” I prayed for him and laid hands on him physically. Then in the dream of the night, the boy saw me praying for him again and a personality with that same jaw cancer left his body. After that dream encounter, the following morning, the jaw cancer burst and dried up. They went back to the hospital, and it was confirmed that the cancer was gone. The surgery was cancelled. Beloved, there is no sickness that is not healable. There is no condition that is not handleable. Let no devil deceive you. If God can raise the dead, He can heal the living. Now, here is the point, I was so impressed and touched by the resilience and faith action of the boy. He finished the maturity course, and went through it again, for about three times. He continued charging himself with the Word of God until his faith was ripe enough to a level where it could practically move the satanic cancer mountain off his jaw. That was a mountain removing faith. That mountain melted at the frequency of a well charged-up faith. Beloved, charge up your faith to take charge of your fate. When you charge your faith, you take charge of fate. That is, you are in charge of the outcome of your life. You are not taken unawares because you are in charge by faith. So, build your faith to the level where it can uproot the mountains of your life (Mark 11:22). Build your faith by hearing and studying the Word of God, by listening to testimonies, receiving light, insights and revelation from the Word of God into your spirit until you can scream like Archimedes, Eureka! (Meaning I have found it). Beloved, that mountain of challenge before you is collapsible; it is demolishable. The question is how strong is your faith? I decree today, every mountain in your life is uprooted right now in Jesus Name. Remember this: If God can raise the dead, He can heal the living. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. TOPIC: THE MYSTERY OF FAITH SCRIPTURE: For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 JOHN 5:4. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: We are called to fight but destined to win. Faith is a great mystery that looks complicated to many people, and so it must be decomplicated. For many people, the question is, what is faith? And how does it work? It is, therefore, crucial to understand the subject of faith because everything in life is by faith (Galatians 3:11). It is the mystery of faith that gives meaning to life. And until you understand the mystery of faith, you will live a life without meaning. A meaningless life, a life full of defeat, is a product of the lack of understanding of the mystery of faith. In scripture, men who made history despite life’s battles were men who understood the mystery of faith. Abraham made history with God. Daniel, David, all the people mentioned in Hebrews Chapter Eleven were people who made history with God despite life’s many confrontations. They understood the mystery of faith. So, the understanding of the mystery of faith impacts meaning to life and causes people to make history despite the battles of life. Now, on our journey to decomplicating the mystery of faith, let us look at what faith is. Faith is making moves and taking steps based on scriptural insight, or insight from the Word of God, thus moving God to act in your situation and on your behalf. The move of man always provokes the move of God. When man moves God moves. When we move in line with His word, He moves to confirm His Word (Mark 16:20). Men of faith are movers. They are people of action. As a man of faith, you make moves and take steps based on what God said. You take steps and make moves based on what you read from the Bible. Now, note these facts about faith: 1. The Word of God is the most authentic foundation for faith. We understand by faith that the world was framed by the Word of God (Hebrews 11:3). And Romans 10:17 says, Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. So, the word of God is the most authentic foundation of faith. 2. Faith does not prevent battles. According to the Scripture, the just shall live by his faith (Habakkuk 2:4). That means, if the just must survive the battles of life, and make impact in life, faith is not negotiable. But it may surprise you to also know that faith does not prevent battles. Someone may say, “I do not have faith; that is why I am always confronted.” No! Faith does not prevent confrontations; it only gives the power to overcome confrontations and persistently dwell in the arena of victory. No one overcomes without fighting. 1Timothy 6:12 says, fight the good fight of faith. So, anyone who is not ready for a fight is not ready for faith and victory. And the fight of faith is nothing but the confrontation of conviction; it is the enemy trying to challenge what you believe. Faith does not prevent battles or confrontations; it only guarantees victory in the face of battles and confrontations. We are called to fight but destined to win. So, for a challenge or confrontation to rise against you is not evidence of lack of faith; it is bowing for defeat that is the evidence of lack of faith. Beloved, I decree that you shall continue to triumph in every battle over your life. Arise in victory by the weapon of faith, in the Name of Jesus Christ. 🍒🌽DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY A Daily Devotional by Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche FRIDAY, 11TH JULY 2025 TOPIC: MENTAL SLAVERY – THE WORST KIND OF SLAVERY SCRIPTURE: And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger. EXODUS 16:3. THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Whatever you see coming will come. The study of medicine confirms that one of the secrets of good treatment is a good diagnosis. Good therapeutics are predicated on good diagnosis, because a health challenge you cannot diagnose, you cannot treat. Most people do not know what their problems are. And when you don’t understand the problem, you will never be able to find the solution. I was baffled by the story of the children of Israel. A people that God brought out from Egypt after 430 years of bondage. They suffered untold hardship in slavery before their liberation came. On their way from the land of slavery to the Land of Promise, they murmured at every little thing. And it looked to me like they were not free. God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and delivered them from bondage through mighty miracles, signs and wonders. But even though they were now physically free and out of Egypt, the land of captivity, they were mentally bound in captivity, so they perished on their way to the Promised Land. Beloved, it is one thing to come out of captivity, but it is another thing to get into destiny. It is one thing to come out of Egypt, but it is another thing to enter the Land of Canaan. The generation that came out of Egypt could not enter Canaan because of their unbelief and slavish mentality, except Joshua and Caleb who believed the Word of God. There is a form of captivity that is worse than physical captivity. There is something worse than the oppressive hold of witches and wizards, and that is mental slavery and captivity. The worst kind of slavery or captivity on earth is mental slavery. They came out of Egypt, but Egypt did not come out of them. A person can be physically free, but if he is mentally enslaved, nobody, including God, can help him. So, a great majority of people are blaming the devil for nothing; their real problem is mental slavery. Let me give you one symptom of mental bondage or slavery. It is called bondage consciousness. When a person is mentally bound, he is bondage conscious. There are people in many churches today who believe the devil is trying to attack them whenever they have a little dream. There are people who run from church to church, prophet to prophet for deliverance until there is no more place to go or prophet to run to. They can never imagine freedom. It is too real for them to believe that for one full year the devil did not pursue or attack them. Beloved, believe in the finished work of Christ for you. Renew your mind with the Word of God so you can stay victorious. Whatever you see coming will come. So, see yourself in liberty, success, peace, good health, prosperity and abundance. Remember this: Whatever you see coming will come. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Renew your mind daily with the Word of God. 2. Refuse to think about what you do not desire. 3. Reject every form of captivity mentality around you. PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your finished work at Calvary. I refuse to tolerate any form of captivity around me. I was freed at Calvary and remain free, Lord, in Jesus’ Name. TOPIC: GIVE NO PLACE TO THE ENEMY SCRIPTURE: Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me. JOHN 14:30 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Don't give the devil any license to perpetuate his activity in your life by your character. It has been confirmed that life is fraught with battles and confrontations. That is why those who attain greatness in life are usually those who have consistently fought and won the battles of life and destiny. The truth is that the things that fight the lives and destinies of people are usually orchestrated by satan the devil and his agents. In our anchor Scripture, Jesus said, the prince of this world cometh (John 14:30). So, at every point in time, the enemy is either leaving or trying to come in. We see in Job 1:7 that, Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. That is, he was always moving from place to place attacking one victim after another. You see, the devil would not come and say, “I am the devil.” So, you would not know when the devil is around. But it is important to know the things that the devil organizes to battle your destiny. The major aims of the battles of destiny are both the distraction of focus and the destruction of life and destiny. Now, what does the enemy use to battle lives and destinies? We are looking at one of those weapons the enemy uses to battle lives and destinies, and that is Temptation. Temptation is the attempt of the enemy to drag men into iniquity or compromise. He drags people into regrettable and destructive compromise. Sometime ago, I told a group of people that unbelievers look for sin, but temptation or sin looks for Christians. Some unbelievers are on the internet calculating how to steal from people. They are scammers, and they do it for a living, that is their profession. But for a Christian, sin looks for him. Someone can visit a Christian engineer at a construction site and tell him, “Just ensure that my bill is approved. I will see you later.” The person can inflate the bill and promise to give the Christian engineer some money when the bill is approved. That is a temptation. It is an enemy of destiny. Now, what do you do about these battles of destiny? Give no place to the enemy. Ephesians 4:27 says, Neither give place to the devil. The devil is looking for a place in your life; don’t give him any place. In other words, ensure that you maintain a solid grip on your life. Don't give the devil any license to perpetuate his activity in your life by your character. If you have a wrong character that is an invitation to the devil, change it. There are people whose characters, no level of anointing can change, except they decide to change themselves. At least ensure that the devil has no legal grounds in your life to continue his operation. Remember this: Don't give the devil any license to perpetuate his activity in your life by your character. ASSIGNMENT(S): 1. Put away any habit that invites the devil and his evil activities. 2. Consistently take in the Word of God for the purification of your heart. 3. Trust God not to fall into temptation. PRAYER: Lord, open my eyes to the gimmicks of the devil. Grant me the grace to escape his trap, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
