37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

MESSAGE:

"Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over." Psalm 23:5

David was talking about the overflow of the Holy Spirit in the Scripture above. Overflowing with the Holy Spirit and the anointing is God's desire for all His children. In today's Bible reading, Jesus Christ said that those who are thirsty can come to Him and drink. He said that out of their bellies will flow rivers of living water - not one river but rivers - that is a tremendous overflow of the Holy Spirit. Peter overflowed with the Holy Spirit because even his shadow healed the sick (Acts 5:14-16). Elisha also overflowed with the anointing so much that the flow continued after his death, and his bones raised the dead (2 Kings 13:20-21). There is no limit to how much of the Holy Spirit you can carry because God wants you to be filled to overflowing.

In 2011, a woman shared a testimony in Dublin. She said she had heard that when the barren sit on chairs that I have sat on, they would become pregnant. So, she attended one of our programmes but could not get to sit on the chair I sat on because it had been taken away before she got to it. She was sad, but suddenly, she had an idea, "He was standing at the pulpit preaching; there must be part of the anointing on the pulpit too." So, she went to the pulpit and began to rub her stomach against it. She became pregnant that month, and when she delivered, she gave birth to triplets. The Holy Spirit had overflowed through me so much that there was enough power on the pulpit to make the barren fruitful.

Beloved, the Holy Spirit can overflow through you too. You can be so filled with the Holy Spirit that whatever you touch will carry the anointing. However, for that to happen, you must be drunk with His infilling. No matter how filled you are with the Holy Spirit, you must continually long for more. You must make it a habit to spend quality time in His presence to the point where you will stop being conscious of time. I pray that as you spend quality time in God's presence, He will fill you to overflowing with the Holy Spirit and power.

PRAYER POINT:
Father, please fill me until I overflow with Your Spirit. Let rivers of living water flow out of my belly, in Jesus' name.

She looked at the witchdoctor with audacity and said, “Give that thing to me.” The man exclaimed, “What?” She repeated, “I said give it to me!” She collected the supposed snake, and it became a stick in her hand. That singular encounter instantly turned the heart of everyone in that vicinity to God.

You see, the world we live in requires every believer to carry spiritual fire. Whether you are a pastor, businessman, etc. the possession of spiritual fire is non-negotiable. We live in a dark world, and you cannot afford to exist without fire.

As a Christian, when you step into a village that is infested with witchcraft, the atmosphere should change and become unbearable for those witches and wizards. The truth is, when there is a shortage of fire, evil will continue to thrive. When light refuses to shine, darkness will find expression.

Now, why is spiritual fire necessary? Spiritual fire eliminates opposition and secures your position.

There are satanic or enemy oppositions that hinder many people from securing their God-given positions in life. The truth is, as far as opposition thrives, the position is not secured.

Therefore, you need to walk in a dangerous dimension of fire to eliminate enemy opposition to your life and ministry. You need fire to secure your God-given position in life and destiny.

REMEMBER THIS: When there is a shortage of fire, evil will continue to thrive.

Two things happen to us when we come to God's presence in prayers. We experience losses and gains simultaneously.

Every genuine contact in prayers ought to produce these two things. The things we lose are the things that make us unfit to enter into the fullness of God's purposes for our lives. I call these losses "profitable losses." They're necessary for our spiritual growth and development in God.

Many times, we stagnate in spiritual matters for as long as we maintain the negative things that God wants out of our lives.

"A woman was once asked: what do you gain from praying to God regularly?
She replied: "Usually I don't earn anything, but I rather lose things." And she quoted everything she lost praying to God regularly.
I lost my pride.
I lost my arrogance. I lost my greed. I lost my urge. I lost my anger. I lost the lust. I lost the taste of sin. I lost impatience, despair and discouragement. I lost myself and gained God in the process. Then I realised that my gain made me a better person because I became the person that was worthy of God and of His grace and blessings.

*we pray not to gain something, but to lose things that don't allow us to grow spiritually.*

Beloved, what are the things that you are still struggling with in your life? Is God trying to get certain things out of your life and it's hurting you because you are not willing to let go? Are you making it difficult for God to advance you in righteousness or are you yielded to His dealings in your life.

*You cannot hold on to your negative self and expect God to increase you in righteousness.*

John the Baptist says; "He must increase while I must decrease." Are you allowing the Lord to increase in your life, or are you still running your life against His will and yet forcing God to agree with your own ways of doing things?
When people meet with you, what or who do they see? You or the Lord Jesus Christ? Are you so conspicuous that people immediately notice how full of yourself you are, or has the Lord broken you that it's hard to see you?

Your answer to these questions speaks volumes about your current position with God in your walk with Him...

They're necessary for our spiritual growth and development in God. Many times, we stagnate in spiritual matters for as long as we maintain the negative things that God wants out of our lives. "A woman was once asked: what do you gain from praying to God regularly? She replied: "Usually I don't earn anything, but I rather lose things." And she quoted everything she lost praying to God regularly. I lost my pride. I lost my arrogance. I lost my greed. I lost my urge. I lost my anger. I lost the lust. I lost the taste of sin. I lost impatience, despair and discouragement. I lost myself and gained God in the process. Then I realised that my gain made me a better person because I became the person that was worthy of God and of His grace and blessings. *we pray not to gain something, but to lose things that don't allow us to grow spiritually.* Beloved, what are the things that you are still struggling with in your life? Is God trying to get certain things out of your life and it's hurting you because you are not willing to let go? Are you making it difficult for God to advance you in righteousness or are you yielded to His dealings in your life. *You cannot hold on to your negative self and expect God to increase you in righteousness.* John the Baptist says; "He must increase while I must decrease." Are you allowing the Lord to increase in your life, or are you still running your life against His will and yet forcing God to agree with your own ways of doing things? When people meet with you, what or who do they see? You or the Lord Jesus Christ? Are you so conspicuous that people immediately notice how full of yourself you are, or has the Lord broken you that it's hard to see you? Your answer to these questions speaks volumes about your current position with God in your walk with Him... Shalom. ACTION STEPS 1. Examine yourself and make necessary changes in your life today. 2. Acknowledge your own mistakes, sins, and errors and put your life in order before the Lord. 3. Pray for God to make you more like Him with each passing day. PRAYERS Dear heavenly Father, thank you for today's devotional guide. I receive the grace to become more like you and less of me in Jesus' name. Amen. We should never be discouraged ; Take it to the Lord in prayer. Can we find a Friend so faithful, Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness----- Take it to the Lord in prayer ! 3 Are we weak and heavy-laden, Cumbered with a load of care ? Precious Saviour, still our refuge----- Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise, forsake thee ? Take it to the Lord in prayer ; In His arms He'll take and shield thee.
