• *A SOFT ANSWER CAN STABILIZE THINGS AND TAKE YOU TO YOUR DESTINATION*

"A soft and gentle and thoughtful answer turns away wrath, But harsh and painful and careless words stir up anger." Proverbs 15:1[Amplified).

I was inside a public transport when a soldier at a check point ordered our driver to park his vehicle and for all the passengers to come down for a one on one search of persons and goods! Some of us were in a hurry. Some people felt he needed money that is why he chose to delay and frustrate us. A few zealous people took money and went to him. He said that his problem was not money, but the disrespectful and arrogant answer given by our driver. Unreserved apologies were then given and he cheerfully allowed us to proceed. *A lot of marital, family, workplace, organisational and national disputes are exacerbated by unkind answers and reactions.* Words are so powerful; more powerful than some guns and money. Ephesians 4:29 says: "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, *that it may minister grace unto the hearers.* Can we start developing a glossary of gracious words! Can we learn to say: "Oh, I am sorry, I think I misunderstand you; pardon my manners, please don't be angry with me, how can I make things right, can we please have a discussion on this, I am open to your views; kindly hear me out, I am finding ways that we could honour God better as we resolve this issue, kindly pray for me, I think I may be missing something, please don't give up on me, maybe I am not communicating properly, Oh Lord, please help me to say the right words to my beloved....!" Good words could be therapeutic, they bring healing and break the power of pride and disdain. *People may be as erratic, crazy and unreasonable; but we must not give them the keys of our peace, joy and progress by our careless responses!* Oh dear Lord, please help us to use gracious words in all we say in Jesus Christ name. Amen. Good morning.

  • The Pain of Fatherhood

Being a father can be a profound source of joy, but it also comes with its own unique set of challenges and pains. From the sleepless nights and financial burdens to the weight of responsibility and worry for their children's well-being, fathers often face a complex mix of emotions.

One of the most significant pains of fatherhood is the struggle to balance providing for the family with being present for every moment. Fathers may feel torn between working hard to ensure financial stability and missing out on precious time with their children.

Additionally, societal expectations can place pressure on fathers to be strong providers and role models, sometimes making it difficult for them to express vulnerability or seek help when needed. This can lead to feelings of isolation or unspoken pain.

Despite these challenges, many fathers find that the love and connection they share with their children make every struggle worthwhile. By acknowledging the difficulties and embracing the emotional depth of fatherhood, dads can build stronger, more authentic relationships with their kids and find greater fulfillment in their role.

The pain of fatherhood is real, but so is the immense reward. Through openness, support, and understanding, fathers can navigate the complexities of parenthood and create lasting bonds with their children.

  • "They told her to wait in the corridor while the family ate."
    She was “just the help.”
She served their meals but ate leftovers.
She washed their clothes but wore rags.
    But one day…
She knocked on their door — not to beg, but to bless.

She Was the House Girl Who Wasn’t Allowed to Eat at the Table — 25 Years Later, She Returned With a Surprise That Made the Whole Family Cry
    Written by Rosyworld CRN

    1999. Lagos, Nigeria.

Amarachi was 13 when she was sent from her village to Lagos to work as a housemaid for the Okoye family.

    Her job?
    Clean the house.
    Fetch water.
    Cook.
    Wash.
    Repeat.

She wasn’t allowed to sit on the couch.
Not allowed to eat with the children.
She ate on the kitchen floor.
Sometimes slept near the store room.

    They said:

“Know your place. You’re lucky to be here.”

    But she was kind.
    Obedient.
And every night, she read old textbooks she found in the bin.

One of the children, Chidera, once caught her studying and said:

“You? School? Who will pay for your brain?”

    She smiled and said:

    “Maybe one day, God will.”

After four years, she was sent back to her village.
    No certificate.
    No savings.
    No promise.

    But Amarachi didn’t stop.

    She farmed.
    Saved.
    Taught children.
    Got into a polytechnic.
    Graduated in business.
    Started a food brand.
    Expanded into export.

By 2024, she became one of the leading agro-entrepreneurs in Southern Nigeria.

    ---

One day, she saw a social media post — the Okoye family was launching a foundation and needed a major sponsor.

    She made a call.

    Used her married name.

They invited her… not knowing who she was.

On the day of the launch, she walked in — head high, dressed in white lace.

    The family froze.

    Chidera blinked.

    The father gasped.

    She smiled and said:

“25 years ago, I served your food in silence.
Today, I came to serve your future with love.”

She handed them a cheque — ₦20 million donation to the foundation.

    Then added:

“This is not revenge. It’s remembrance.
Because the girl you ignored… grew in grace.”

    The hall fell silent.

    Even Chidera wept.

Amarachi turned, hugged the family’s grandmother, and whispered:

“The table I once wasn’t allowed to sit at…
God gave me the tools to build my own.”

She didn’t come to repay pain.
    She came to rewrite history.

Because sometimes, the girl they made eat in the kitchen…
    Returns to fund the banquet.

  • THE WISER WE BECOME, THE MORE VICTORIOUS WE BECOME

NO ONE CAN WIN THE BATTLE OUTSIDE UNTIL HE HAS FIRST WON ON THE INSIDE.

EV!L THOUGHTS THAT WE DON'T BRING INTO CAPT!V!T¥ WILL MAKE CAPT!V€S OF US.

NATURE ABHORS VACUUM, YOU ARE EITHER FILLED WITH GODLY THOUGHTS OR YOU WILL BE FILLED WITH EV!L THOUGHTS

    - Bishop David Oyedepo on UNVEILING THE EVER WINNING WEAPON OF WISDOM 2A at Covenant Family Day Service || 15th June 2025 || Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland|| First Sunday Service || Part A

If any man lacks wisdom, let him ask of God. James 1:5. It's not saying we are not wise, it is so we can be wiser. The wiser we become, the more victorious we become. Church Gist. Proverbs 9:9. We can always get wiser by the day. If you are wiser than your enemy, you beat him hands down. “Thou through thy Word has made me wiser than my enemies” (Psalm 119:98). They are always hanging around to launch attacks but I am smarter than them by your Word.

Prayers: Lord get me wiser today through your Word. Change my level in the School of Wisdom today because wisdom is better than weapons of war. Church Gist. Get me wiser today than ever. Let your Word get me smarter than my enemies. I have come to you Jesus, the wisdom and the power of God. By your Word today get me smarter than my adversaries.

For every one who has desired to get wiser this morning, receive grace to connect with His Word that makes us wiser than our enemies.

Again, Happy Fathers' Day to all fathers and to all would be fathers.

    - There shall be no evil report in any man's home from henceforth.
    - The wall of fire around those who serve God shall remain in your family.
    - It shall be good reports ever in the name of Jesus.

Jesus speak to us this morning and let your name be glorified in Jesus name.

Someone was instructed to go and anoint his family home in the village and he did. That stopped the horror of death in the family. The holy anointing oil is one of the hidden weapons of our warfare with the capacity to cut off the house of wickedness. 2 Chronicles 22:7. Church Gist. Jehu was anointed to stop the House of Ahab. Anointing stops wickedness from advancing.
    - By the anointing today, every wicked arrow of the enemy in your direction will be silenced forever.
    - By the anointing today, God is turning loose every captive and establishing the liberty of every one.

UNVEILING THE EVER WINNING WEAPON OF WISDOM is the series of the month in our Sunday services. The Word says wisdom is better than weapons of war. Ecclesiastes 9:18. When you disregard the place of wisdom, you lose the battle. Please note, every battle of life is first won on the inside. Church Gist. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6. Casting down anti scriptural imaginations, casting down every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity, every thought contrary to the truth in obedience of Christ. That's what makes our mind the battlefield of life.

No one can win the battle outside until he has first won on the inside. Evil thoughts that we don't bring into captivity will make captives of us. Mark 7:21-23. Because nature abhors vacuum, you are either filled with godly thoughts or you will be filled with evil thoughts. Church Gist. All these evil thoughts come from within and they destroy the destinies of men. No one can win the battle without, without first winning the battle within. For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. Every man is ultimately what he thinks. Proverbs 4:23.

The first battle against man was the battle of the mind. Eve saw that the fruit was good. It appealed to her mind. And a fruit to be desired to make men wise. She desired it and so she took it. It was absolutely a battle of the mind. It corrupted the destiny of Adam and Eve, they became naked having lost the battle of the mind. They were chased out of the garden of abundance into the wilderness of want. Genesis 3:7. They lost the battle of the mind which stripped them naked and turned them to wanderers. Genesis 3:1-7. They were stripped naked, the rest is history. Church Gist. Check those verses, they are essentially the battle raging against the mind. When he came to Jesus, you saw what the battle was - twisting scriptures to trap Him. You can do nothing against the truth but for the truth. The devil is ever out to corrupt the truth, so as to hold his victims captives. Therefore keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).
