*REP. IDEM LEADS CHRISTIAN PRAYERS FOR REPOSE OF SOULS OF DEPARTED COLLEAGUES DURING VALEDICTORY SESSION*
The member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement, Rep. Unyime Idem, today led the Christian prayers for the repose of the souls of his departed colleagues, who died in the course of their service to the Nation.
Idem led the prayers during a Valedictory Session held at the Green Chambers, in honour of the following departed Honourable members;
Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga
Hon. Danbuga Abdulkadir Jelani
Hon. Isa Dogonyaro
Hon. Prince Olaide Adewale Akinremi
Hon. Ekene Abubakar Adams.
Paying glowing tribute to the deceased federal lawmakers, Rep. Idem described them as great parliamentarians, who served with high level of integrity.
He added that the 10th National Assembly will miss the quality of contributions they made on the floor of the House, and also the tremendous impacts they made in their various constituencies, while alive.
Speaking with journalists after the Valedictory session, Idem said the greatest honour which can be done to the departed legislators will be for President Bola Tinubu to immortalize them by renaming some critical national assets after them.
He further extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the departed ones, and prayed that God grants them fortitude to bear the loss.
