A new male birth control injectable called ADAM, developed by biotech company Contraline, has entered Phase 2 human trials in Australia. The non-hormonal hydrogel is injected into the vas deferens to block sperm flow for up to two years. Early trials showed effective sperm blockage without major side effects. The procedure takes about 10 minutes and is designed to be temporary and reversible, although full data on reversibility is still pending.
