The Sound of Miss Bella’s Heels,The Ghost School Teacher
Episode 8: March of the Dead
After Chuka’s death in the chapel, Dawnlight Boarding School became a ghost town — not because people left, but because no one spoke anymore.
Students whispered prayers.
Teachers looked over their shoulders.
Even the principal, Mr. Osakwe, walked with a Bible tucked under his armpit.
But none of it mattered.
Because that night, something different happened.
The sound came again.
> Kpakpa… kpakpa… kpakpa…
But this time… it didn’t stay in the corridors.
It didn’t pass quietly.
It came outside.
It was a moonless night.
3:00 a.m.
The security guard on duty, Mallam Idris, heard the noise first.
He saw the front gate rattle.
The trees sway.
And then… the ground shook faintly as the kpakpa sound grew louder.
He turned his flashlight toward the assembly ground — and dropped it.
There, marching across the empty field, was the most terrifying sight anyone had ever seen:
A figure in a torn red dress, cane in hand, blood on her chest, walking with red high heels that didn’t touch the ground — they hovered inches above it.
But behind her…
Were the faint, shadowy forms of Promise, Ejiro, and Chuka.
Their bodies twisted.
Eyes empty.
They marched behind her like puppets of the dead.
Mallam Idris screamed and ran, throwing his radio away.
But before he reached the dorm gate, he turned and saw something that made him urinate on himself:
Miss Bella’s ghost stopped…
…turned toward him…
…and smiled.
> “I’m still taking attendance,” she whispered.
And disappeared.
By morning, Idris had gone mad.
He was found hiding under the water tank, chanting:
> “Kpakpa… kpakpa… class is not over…”
The principal tried to keep the incident quiet, again.
But this time?
Even the teachers started requesting transfers.
The kitchen staff quit.
Two female students collapsed after seeing bloody footprints in their food tray line.
And then came the final blow…
In the middle of morning assembly — in broad daylight — every student, teacher, and prefect heard it:
> Kpakpa… kpakpa… kpakpa…
The sound of red heels walking across the assembly field.
No one was there.
But they all heard it.
And then… on the chalkboard behind them… appeared in red:
> "CLASS IS IN SESSION. – Miss Bella."
