Marriage alone won’t make you happy or complete you.

Get a life.

I enjoy my marriage today not just because I have a man who loves me or lovely kids,

But I enjoy my marriage because I’m living a life of purpose and fulfilling my dreams.

Some of the women who are depressed in marriage are so because they made their whole lives about their partner or kids.

When the kids suddenly grow and get their own homes, they become unhappy, lost, and bitter.

Why? Because they never built anything for themselves.

Dear woman, marriage is a part of your life, not your entire life.

You still have dreams. You still have potential.

You were created with purpose before you became a wife or mother.

Don’t wait until you’re 50 to start asking, “Who am I outside this home?”

Develop your own passions.

Build a career, a brand, a mission, something that lights your soul up.

So that even when the house gets quiet and the kids move out, your life still feels full, because you’re not just someone’s wife or mother.

You’re you.

Build a life so rich and meaningful that marriage becomes a blessing, not a burden.

Your happiness is your responsibility.

Don’t abandon yourself in the name of love.
