A dramatic encounter between a Nigerian man and a self-proclaimed prophet has sparked outrage online, following claims that the cleric accepted ₦3,000 in exchange for what turned out to be a false prophecy. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The confrontation, which was captured on video and shared on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) by user @remah234, has since gone viral, igniting fresh conversations around fake prophets and exploitation in religious spaces across Nigeria.

In the video, the visibly angry man is seen challenging the prophet in public, demanding an explanation for the “prophecy” he paid for. According to the man, the so-called spiritual message delivered to him was not only false but deliberately deceptive — an attempt to exploit his trust and vulnerability.
