Cruel To Be Kind

Easy isn’t it, giving advice
Observing situations and seeing the issue
A solution’s crystal clear to me you see
Not so easy for you
You unequivocally know right from wrong
The difference between love and hate
Yet look at you here stuck like glue
Continuing to procrastinate
You tell friends with the utmost conviction
Devoid of doubt or clouded mind
Look the answers simple my friend
Sometimes be cruel to be kind
Now the shoe’s on the other foot
Tell me why those rules no longer apply
Simplicity diluted in negativity
You’re stuck and you can’t tell me why
It’s not wrong to do right by you
Surely it’s the least that you deserve
Know your value, no half price discount
Never undersell your worth
