A prominent legal practitioner in Nasarawa State, John Abimiku Mathew, has tendered his resignation as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Mr. Mathew, a former Deputy Governorship candidate of the party, announced his resignation in a letter dated July 15.
The letter, addressed to the chairman of the party in his Kagbu electoral ward of Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area, stated that the resignation was with immediate effect.
He lamented that the foundational principles upon which the party was founded have been severely eroded recently, rendering his continued membership untenable.
