In 2019 a friend of mine thought of building a house in the village . He went home and cleared the bush for the house. He went to a cement seller to buy cement and start to mold block.
The price of the cement was #2,450. The wise man said no , he will wait untill the price normalize by coming down.
In the year 2020, the cement price rose up to #3,600 per bag. Because of his wisdom, he said that the patient dog always eats the fatest bone. That he should be patient still after all, whatsoever goes up must come down.
But in 2024, Dangote cement flew to #7,000. My wise friend said that if the price can only come down to #5,000, he would start his building. But in 2025 , the price rose to #10,000.
Is cement price in Nigeria so sturborn that it cannot normalize again.
