COMMUNICATION - A CREATIVE PROCESS

Communication is a creative process we share within a language system that we did not design, nor did we assign the original meaning or labels to places, people, and things. Although we can choose the words we use to explain anything, often, the interpretive process that aligns with our worldview is what gets conveyed. We need to distinguish between circumstances, experiences, culture, and subjective reasoning to find the truth. This isn't always straightforward, as we are the subjects who have created thousands of narratives based on personal experiences related to everything we do. Popular culture, family, the broader culture, the education system, peers, and other influences that shape us over a lifetime have always conveyed meaning, which is why everyone's view of the world is so diverse.

The meaning shapes the subconscious to view the world through the prism of thought. What if some of those thoughts are faulty? This is often easy to notice in others, yet interestingly, we tend to agree with every idea we have because we thought it ourselves; therefore, we assume they can never be wrong. This can be a common trap for us all, convincing us that we are right. If you consider your thoughts, they never have an aggressive tone; they are on neutral ground because they do not originate outside of ourselves. They speak convincingly about whatever we may be passionate about or oppose; the perspective that aligns with them seems convincing because of the background story. However, not all your interpretations are influenced by others; you assign that meaning through the creative expression of the word, whether its connotation comes from non-verbal or verbal cues.

When we communicate with other cultures, it highlights how much information we have picked up from our own culture subconsciously, as the meanings often contrast immensely. These meanings are assigned to different objects that have culturally specific subjects. We could write a vast list to compare these differences relating to gender, money, family, lifestyle, it is embedded in our attitudes, values, and ways of seeing and doing. Even the collective or individualized nature of interactions from all different perspectives dramatically changes from culture to culture. We engage in many ritualized practices, from going to the store to social norms within the groups within our culture, and often the culture of the people belonging to a group has been dictated by the environment within which it exists.

Other institutions all interact with or affect the context of the group in some way. Because the communicative process has opened up many doors into cross-cultural communication, the starkest differences we can observe are how these meanings are so different, just like the seed that produces apricots will not produce the herb mint because of the instructions hidden in the seed of its kind. This is associated with language, and the content in the seed has a unique composition of words. Yet, from the perspective of a free thinker, or a pantheist, or whatever label has been associated with specific ideas, it has a unique set of words that make up that eventual fruit. Let's take a closer look at those two terms. My knowledge of them is superficial; I have assigned my own meaning to what I think they stand for, just as you may have. Our depth to those names may be on different levels, and how can we take command of our concepts if we do not have a shared definition? This is where the lines get blurred.

Merriam-Webster dictionary

Freethinker: A person who thinks freely or independently: One who forms opinions on the basis of reason independently of authority.

Pantheism: A doctrine that equates God with the forces and laws of the universe.

When people speak, they can only draw from the information that is within their minds. I cannot speak Chinese, nor have I developed the necessary skill set for basketball, nor would I be competent to walk into the role of a CEO who manages a huge company, overseeing 1,000 staff. Yet there are many other people with the language for those domains, unless it was a part of my communicative process to be competent in all those semantic differences, it would have to first come to the ear or the eye gate to be programmed into the subconscious. If a CEO began talking about an advanced business process that had never come to my consciousness, how could I participate in the unknown? I am 100 % ignorant.

Yet in this world, we have many opinions about things we do not understand. This is why the subject of critical thinking in these last days cannot be overemphasized. A postmodernist thinker believes that there is no objective truth, that it is relative to a particular cultural context. Many blurred lines exist, explaining gender differences and various phenomena through the neologisms assigned to name them. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. These are two scriptures, one from the Gospel of John and the other from the book of Genesis. They both speak about beginnings, and the significance we will find here is the word.

Words are the beginning of all things, but what do words carry and the energy to create? We cannot have a conflict of opinion, as this is the objective truth. The beginning did not start with a big bang, although many intelligent people subscribe to that theory. But how can you explain meaning? If we are meaning-makers of everything we do and see. Something analogous and descriptive in each day that God created something, the first words uttered from his mouth were Let there be ……. Lights, let there be light. Let there be a vault between the waters from above to the waters below. Let the land produce vegetation. Let the water teem with living creatures. Let the land produce creatures. Then at last God said Let us make mankind in our image and likeness. Hence, God created mankind in his image, in the image of God He created them. Male and female, he created them. These are two foundational objective truths that every single person who walks on this earth, whether they are a gangster, a Buddhist, or a citizen of heaven, is made in the image of God and is either male or female, as described by the word. God is the Word. That idea needs deep contemplation.

Where did all these other words originate, such as 'new age,' 'murderer,' or 'hate'? I could create a myriad list of alternatives to the truth that do not belong in heaven, as God is truth, good and love. If we delve deeper into the concept of the new age, it comes under the category of idolatry because God said, “Do not put any other god before me”, yet not everything that the new age practices is evil. Even though they have some components of the truth in their teaching, such as consciousness and awareness, and even the fact that they have claimed precious stones as a medium, they are exalting creation above the Creator, yet in heaven itself, it is full of precious stones. Words from the source, according to God, and in context to our fallen world, have become smudged and blurred within many different practices on this earth because some of them yield benefits, as exemplified by people from various domains of life, such as Warren Buffett and Bill Gates. Because in the Bible, just under where God said He made them male and female, God blessed them and said, 'Let them be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it.' God never removed the blessing after the fall; that is why he cursed the ground for our sakes.

If we can understand the first three chapters of Genesis, we can explain every lower culture on the earth that we see, which occurred thousands of years ago, as a result of Adam's sin. After that, we see many different evils happen on the earth, which is why God flooded it. Yet, before his return, the days are meant to return to the days of Noah, so nothing is new under the sun. But all these realities are created by the word. Even in the last book of the bible, God has categorized those who will not enter into his rest in the heavenly city, those who practice magic arts, those who are sexually immoral, murderers, idolaters, and those who practice falsehood. These words only became effective after the fall. If you investigate the first two chapters of the bible, it is pure, unadulterated water because it is God’s perfect mind and his original ideas. He had to create a manager for the earth made in his own image. There were no themes of evil; words are the beginnings of all things. What words are you embracing today?
