To the Leadership of University of Calabar For students who have invested 7-8 years of their lives, many now in their final year, this directive to withdraw is not just disheartening; it is deeply unjust. Education is a contract built on trust: when a student commits time, effort, and money, the institution must keep its end of the bargain. These students did not over-admit themselves. They did not set the quotas. They did not create this crisis. These actions are of the school! It is unfair and frankly unacceptable to push the burden of a broken system onto young people who have only done what they were told would secure their future. I hope the University of Calabar rethinks this decision and finds a fair solution that doesn’t dump the weight on young people who’ve already given so much. Let’s do better.
