DUNAMIS SEEDS OF DESTINY DAILY A DEVOTIONAL BY DR. PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE.
DATE: SUNDAY, 22ND. JUNE, 2025.
TOPIC: THE FORCE OF INTEGRITY AND CHARACTER.
SCRIPTURE: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. DANIEL 1:8.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Whenever character is established, destiny has been defined.
Character is a vital force that guarantees the fulfilment of life and destiny. When life’s purpose is discovered and potential is identified, developed and deployed, destiny can be fulfilled.
However, there are forces that must come to play if destiny must be fulfilled. There are people who discovered their purpose, developed and deployed their potential, but still failed to fulfil their destiny. This was because certain forces were out of place.
For instance, Samson knew his calling, deployed his potential but he was still cut short in the middle of his life because he was bankrupt of character, a major force for destiny fulfilment. The force of integrity and character must be in place for destiny to be fulfilled.
That is why we are looking at the force of character and integrity for destiny fulfilment in our study today.
The truth is, the strength of character is what determines the strength of destiny. You know, character is in strength. There are people with strong character, and there are others with weak character. Nobody can have a weak character with a strong destiny and vice versa.
Now, it is important to note that THOUGHT is the starting point of character (Proverbs 4:23; 23:7). The person who stole money started calculating how he would steal first in his mind; he must have thought of it before actualizing it. The person who was involved in immorality first started processing the act in his or her mind. So, thought is the starting point of every habit that will eventually become character. Your thought becomes your character. So, until you watch your thoughts, you are not interested in your character.
This is how it works: A thought established leads to actions. When you think about anything for a while, you begin to act it out. Actions that are sustained form habits, and habits perpetuated establish character. And whenever character is established, destiny has been defined.
Beloved, pay attention to your character if you want to fulfil your destiny.
Remember this: Whenever character is established, destiny has been defined.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Examine your character; is it satisfactorily godly? Ask God for help to turn a new leaf if not.
2. Let Philippians 4:8 shape your thought pattern.
3. Renew your mind with the Word of God daily.
PRAYER: Lord, work on me both in and out. Renew my mind daily and cause me to be a true reflection of Your Image on earth, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
