Meaning of “The Federal Government has Closed its case in Nnamdi Kanu’s case

See eeeh it doesn’t mean that the case has end oooh or the FG has lost, infact the case just entered first half (as per in football terms). The procedure in court is that in criminal cases there are two parties
1. Federal Republic of Nigeria (Prosecution)
2. Nnamdi Kanu (Defendant)

The FRN has opened its case (as per say them call their witnesses, their witnesses were asked questions by Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team) so after that, they closed their case (like we are done giving evidence, we don try, we no do again). At this point the what the court is looking at is; whether the FRN made out a prima facie case against the Defendant (meaning say if reasonable man look the case for
the evidence given by FRN, does the Defendant has a question to answer or make them just throway the case)

The option open to the defendant na
1. Open his case (call witnesses)
2. Rest his case on that of the prosecution’s case
3. File a no case submission ( as per se, from everything wey FRN don talk, case no dey at all at all)

Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team choose option 3 (e make sense) so that one means that they will write their argument and FRN will respond and everybody will adopted, then court will give ruling as to “WHETHER KANU GET CASE TO ANSWER OR NOT” if yes then Kanu will go back to Option 1

I like as everybody don dey learn law by fire by force
