*👉A SOFT ANSWER CAN STABILIZE THINGS AND TAKE YOU TO YOUR DESTINATION🙏* "A soft and gentle and thoughtful answer turns away wrath, But harsh and painful and careless words stir up anger." Proverbs 15:1[Amplified). I was inside a public transport when a soldier at a check point ordered our driver to park his vehicle and for all the passengers to come down for a one on one search of persons and goods! Some of us were in a hurry. Some people felt he needed money that is why he chose to delay and frustrate us. A few zealous people took money and went to him. He said that his problem was not money, but the disrespectful and arrogant answer given by our driver. Unreserved apologies were then given and he cheerfully allowed us to proceed. *A lot of marital, family, workplace, organisational and national disputes are exacerbated by unkind answers and reactions.* Words are so powerful; more powerful than some guns and money. Ephesians 4:29 says: "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, *that it may minister grace unto the hearers.* Can we start developing a glossary of gracious words! Can we learn to say: "Oh, I am sorry, I think I misunderstand you; pardon my manners, please don't be angry with me, how can I make things right, can we please have a discussion on this, I am open to your views; kindly hear me out, I am finding ways that we could honour God better as we resolve this issue, kindly pray for me, I think I may be missing something, please don't give up on me, maybe I am not communicating properly, Oh Lord, please help me to say the right words to my beloved....!" Good words could be therapeutic, they bring healing and break the power of pride and disdain. *People may be as erratic, crazy and unreasonable; but we must not give them the keys of our peace, joy and progress by our careless responses!* Oh dear Lord, please help us to use gracious words in all we say in Jesus Christ name.
