"Transforming Nigeria's Education: 6 Priority Areas Under Tinubu"

1. Budgetary Allocation: Tinubu's administration allocated N2.18 trillion (7.9% of the total budget) to education in his first year and N3.52 trillion (7.07% of the 2025 national budget) in his second year. Although stakeholders argue this is still inadequate, it's a step towards prioritizing education.

2. TVET Investment: Tinubu launched a revitalized TVET program, establishing 50 new TVET centers across 30 states with modern facilities and industry-aligned curricula. This aims to bridge the skills gap and empower youth.

3. TETFUND Transformed: TETFUND continues to play a crucial role in providing infrastructure and capacity building for tertiary institutions. Tinubu's administration has leveraged TETFUND to support research and development, stimulating innovations and product development.

4. NELFUND: The National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) offers zero-interest loans to eligible undergraduates, providing financial relief and unlocking opportunities for higher education. Over 550,000 loan applications have been processed, disbursing ₦56.85 billion.

5. Curriculum for the Real World: Tinubu's administration aims to overhaul the curriculum to make it more relevant and competitive globally. This includes promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medical Sciences (STEMM) education.

6. Digital Transition and Innovation: The administration has invested in digital teaching tools, training over 50,000 teachers by 2025.
