Judging from the records above,
the President requires 72 Senators to get a 2/3rd & 240 Rep Members to gain 2/3rd

What this means is that even if all APC Senators vote in support, they won't still get the 72 Senators and even if all the APC Rep Members vote , they also won't get the numbers they need

*Now the real* *politricks:*

As at last night, the 14 senators required to make the mark in the senate must have been secured. Nigerians love cash and *Nebu* is not known to be shy at dishing it.

In the HoR, the numbers to be 'bought' is higher... about 70. Not too much for these guys to surmount.

What control does the minority caucus have on its members to make them vote in a particular way?

That's the critical question.... and you and I know the answer.

The present environment created by this administration is that people take actions whimsically caring little for future consequences because they virtually don't exist; either as an opprobrium or direct sanction.
