Deadly US strikes hit Yemen fuel port used by Huthis
https://jordantimes.com/news/region/deadly-us-strikes-hit-yemen-fuel-port-used-huthis

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->SANAA — The US military said it had destroyed a key Yemeni fuel port as it targets the country's Huthi rebels, who said Friday that 20 people had been killed in the strikes.

The attack on the Ras Issa fuel port aimed to cut off a source of supplies and funds for the Iran-backed Huthis, the US military said.

Washington has hammered the Huthis with near-daily air strikes since March 15 in a bid to end their attacks on civilian shipping and military vessels in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

The rebels began their attacks in late 2023, claiming solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. Israel's army said Friday they had intercepted an incoming missile from Yemen.

In a statement, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said: "US forces took action to eliminate this source of fuel for the Iran-backed Huthi terrorists and deprive them of illegal revenue that has funded Huthi efforts to terrorise the entire region for over 10 years.

"The objective of these strikes was to degrade the economic source of power of the Huthis, who continue to exploit and bring great pain upon their fellow countrymen".

Ships "have continued to supply fuel via the port of Ras Issa" despite Washington designating the rebels a foreign terrorist organisation earlier this year, the military command added, without specifying the source of the fuel.

Huthi health ministry spokesman Anees Alasbahi said the preliminary death toll stood at 20, including five paramedics.

There were also "50 wounded workers and employees at the Ras Issa oil port, following the American aggression", he said on X.

"The death toll is likely to rise as body parts are still being identified," he added.

Fireball

The port lies along the west coast of Yemen on the Red Sea.

In images broadcast early Friday by the rebels' Al-Masira channel, which it presented as the "first images of the US aggression" against the port, a fireball lit up the area around the ships, while thick columns of smoke rose above what appeared to be an ongoing blaze.

"Civil defence rescue teams and paramedics are making every effort to search for and extract victims and extinguish the fire," said Alasbahi.

The Huthis have regularly fired missiles and drones on Israel since the war in Gaza broke out in October 2023 following an attack on Israel by Hamas militants.

"Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas in Israel, a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted," Israel's army said Friday on Telegram, adding that aerial defence systems had been deployed "to intercept the threat".

Huthi attacks have hampered shipping through the Suez Canal -- a vital route that normally carries about 12 percent of world shipping traffic -- forcing many companies into a costly detour around the tip of southern Africa.

The United States first began conducting strikes against the Huthis under president Joe Biden's administration, and his successor President Donald Trump has vowed that military action against the rebels would continue until they are no longer a threat to shipping.

On Thursday evening, France's Defence Minister Sebastien Lecornu said a French frigate in the Red Sea destroyed a drone launched from Yemen.

"Our armed forces continue their commitment to ensuring maritime freedom of movement," he said on X.

US State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce told journalists Thursday that the Chinese satellite firm Chang Guang Satellite Technology Company was "directly supporting Iran-backed Huthi terrorist attacks on US interests".

"Their actions -- and Beijing's support of the company, even after our private engagements with them -- is yet another example of China's empty claims to support peace," she said.

Bruce did not initially provide details on the nature of the company's support for the rebels, but later referred to "a Chinese company providing satellite imagery to the Huthis."

Hizbollah 'will not let anyone disarm' it, says chief
https://jordantimes.com/news/region/hizbollah-will-not-let-anyone-disarm-it-says-chief

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->BEIRUT, Lebanon — Hizbollah "will not let anyone disarm" it, the Lebanese group's leader Naim Qassem said Friday, as Washington presses Beirut to compel the Iran-backed movement to hand over its weapons.

Hezbollah, long a dominant force in Lebanese politics, was left weakened by more than a year of hostilities with Israel sparked by the Gaza war, including an Israeli ground incursion and two months of heavy bombardment that decimated the group's leadership.

The fighting was largely brought to an end by a November ceasefire, but not before the group's longtime leader and Qassem's predecessor Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli air strike.

"We will not let anyone disarm Hezbollah or disarm the resistance" against Israel, Qassem said in remarks on a Hezbollah-affiliated TV channel.

"We must cut this idea of disarmament from the dictionary."

His comments came hours after another Hizbollah official said the group refused to discuss handing over its weapons unless Israel withdrew completely from south Lebanon and halted its "aggression".

"It is not a question of disarming," Wafic Safa said in an interview with Hizbollah’s Al-Nur radio station.

"What the president (Joseph Aoun) said in his inauguration speech is a defensive strategy."

Safa, believed by experts to belong to the movement's most radical faction, said Hezbollah had conveyed its position to Aoun, who on Tuesday said he sought "to make 2025 the year of restricting arms to the state".

In his interview, Safa asked: "Wouldn't it be logical for Israel to first withdraw, then release the prisoners, then cease its aggression... and then we discuss a defensive strategy?

"The defensive strategy is about thinking about how to protect Lebanon, not preparing for the party to hand over its weapons."

Analysts have said that the once unthinkable idea of Hezbollah disarming may no longer be so, and may even be inevitable.

Problem is Israel'

Under the November ceasefire, Israel was meant to withdraw all of its forces from south Lebanon.

But despite the deal, its troops have remained at five south Lebanon positions that they deem "strategic".

Israel has also continued to carry out near-daily strikes against Lebanon -- including on Friday -- saying it is targeting members of Hezbollah.

Under the truce, Hizbollah was to pull its fighters back north of Lebanon's Litani River and dismantle any remaining military infrastructure in the south.

Lebanon's army has been deploying in the south as Israeli forces pulled back.

Hezbollah says the ceasefire does not apply to the rest of Lebanon, despite being based on UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which calls for the disarmament of non-state groups.

Hizbollah was the only group to keep its weapons after Lebanon's 15-year civil war ended in 1990, saying that they were for "resistance" against Israel, which continued to occupy the south until 2000.

US special envoy for the Middle East Morgan Ortagus, who visited Beirut this month, said Washington continued to press Beirut "to fully fulfil the cessation of hostilities, and that includes disarming Hizbollah and all militias".

Safa said on Friday that both Hezbollah and the Lebanese army were respecting the terms of the truce.

"The problem is Israel, which has not done so," he said.

On Saturday, a source close to Hezbollah told AFP that the group had ceded to the Lebanese army around 190 of its 265 military positions identified south of the Litani.

US to withdraw some 1,000 troops from Syria
https://jordantimes.com/news/world/us-withdraw-some-1000-troops-syria

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->WASHINGTON — The United States will roughly halve the number of troops it has deployed in Syria to less than 1,000 in the coming months, the Pentagon said Friday.

Washington has had troops in Syria for years as part of international efforts against the Daesh terror group, which rose out of the chaos of the country's civil war to seize swaths of territory there and in neighboring Iraq over a decade ago.

The brutal extremists have since suffered major defeats in both countries, but still remain a threat.

"Today the secretary of defense directed the consolidation of US forces in Syria... to select locations," Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said in a statement, without specifying the sites where this would take place.

"This deliberate and conditions-based process will bring the US footprint in Syria down to less than 1,000 US forces in the coming months," he said.

President Donald Trump has long been skeptical of Washington's presence in Syria, ordering the withdrawal of troops during his first term but ultimately leaving American forces in the country.

As Islamist-led rebels pressed forward with a lightning offensive last December that ultimately overthrew Syrian president Bashar Al Assad, Trump said Washington should "NOT GET INVOLVED!"

"Syria is a mess, but is not our friend, & THE UNITED STATES SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. THIS IS NOT OUR FIGHT," Trump, then the president-elect, wrote on his Truth Social platform.

Years of war against Daesh

The 2014 onslaught by Daesh prompted a US-led air campaign in support of local ground forces -- the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Iraqi government units.

Washington also deployed thousands of American personnel to advise and assist local forces, with US troops in some cases directly fighting the jihadists.

After years of bloody warfare, Iraq's prime minister announced a final victory over IS in December 2017, while the SDF proclaimed the defeat of the group's "caliphate" in March 2019 after seizing its final bastion in Syria.

But the extremists still have some fighters in the countryside of both countries, and US forces have long carried out periodic strikes and raids to help prevent the group's resurgence.

Washington stepped up military action against Daesh in Syria in the wake of Assad's overthrow, though it has more recently shifted its focus to strikes targeting Yemen's Huthi rebels, who have been attacking international shipping since late 2023.

US forces in Iraq and Syria were repeatedly targeted by pro-Iran militants following the outbreak of the Gaza war in October 2023, but responded with heavy strikes on Tehran-linked targets, and the attacks largely subsided.

Washington for years said it had some 900 military personnel in Syria as part of international efforts against Daesh, but the Pentagon announced in December 2024 that the number of US troops in the country had doubled to around 2,000 earlier in the year.

While the United States is reducing its forces in Syria, Iraq has also sought an end to the US-led coalition's presence there, where Washington has said it has some 2,500 troops.

The United States and Iraq have announced that the coalition would end its decade-long military mission in federal Iraq by the end of 2025, and by September 2026 in the autonomous Kurdistan region.

Deadly US strikes hit Yemen fuel port used by Huthis
SANAA — The US military said it had destroyed a key Yemeni fuel port as it targets the country's Huthi rebels, who said Friday that 20 people had been killed in the strikes. The #Palestinian Ministry of Health in #Gaza has issued an urgent appeal to replenish medicine stocks in hospitals and primary care centers, warning that #Gaza's healthcare system is on the brink of collapse.

According to the ministry, 37% of essential medicines and 59% of medical consumables are completely out of stock.

Operating rooms, ICUs, and emergency departments are struggling to provide life-saving care as they are functioning with depleted stocks of life-saving drugs and medical essentials.

Meanwhile, 80,000 diabetic patients and 110,000 individuals with high blood pressure do not have access to medications in primary health centers. Moreover, 54% of cancer and hematology drugs are completely out of stock.

Palestinian Ahmad Manasra released from Israeli prison after nine years
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/4/10/palestinian-ahmad-manasra-released-from-israeli-prison-after-nine-years?traffic_source=rss

Ahmad Manasra, 23, has been released after completing nine-and-a-half-year sentence, lawyer says.

Israel continues to escalate against Hezbollah in Lebanon,
jeopardizing the ceasefire brokered by the United States last November. The ceasefire was supposed to end the confrontation that broke when
Hezbollah began launching attacks against the Israeli Defense Forces
(IDF) in support of Hamas in the Gaza Strip a day after the surprise
attack on Israel on October 7 of 2023. Israel, however, continued to
launch strikes against the group and kept troops in five posts in
southern Lebanon. The IDF escalated its operations against Hezbollah in recent weeks,
launching on March 28 its first strike against the Lebanese capital,
Beirut, since the ceasefire entered into effect. Israel said that the
strike was a response to two rockets that were launched from Lebanon at
the settlement of Kiryat Shmona earlier in the day, although Hezbollah
had denied responsibility. The strike hit a building used by Hezbollah’s drone unit in the southern Beirut suburb of Dahiyeh, according to the IDF.Hezbollah refrained from responding, but this was not apparently enough to avoid further escalation by Israel. The IDF struck the southern suburbs of Beirut again on April 1, this
time killing Hassan Bdair, a senior commander of Hezbollah. Three other
people were killed in the strike.Bdair was allegedly a member of Hezbollah’s Unit 3900 and of the elite Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.Hezbollah again showed restraint, but to no avail. An Israeli strike
hit the coastal Lebanese city of Sidon early on April 4, killing Hassan
Farhat, the commander of Hamas forces in the western sector of Lebanon.
At least two other people were killed. The IDF said at the time that
Farhat advanced “numerous attacks” on Israeli civilians and troops.Israel escalated further on April 7, killing Muhammad Adnan Mansour,
the commander of a local Hezbollah rocket unit in a strike on the
southern Lebanese area of Taybeh. The next day, April 8, the IDF
launched a strike against an alleged air defense depot of Hezbollah
close to the northeastern Lebanese city of Baalbek. As a result of Israeli pressure, a senior Hezbollah official told
Reuters on April 8 that the group was ready to hold talks with the
Lebanese president about its weapons if the IDF withdraws from southern
Lebanon and stops its strikes. This was not, however, good enough for Israel, which on April 9
accused Hezbollah of rebuilding a weapons manufacturing site in Beirut.
The accusation is clearly meant to justify further escalation, including
the renewal of attacks on the Lebanese capital. All in all, the future of Hezbollah appears to be in limbo. With no
way to deter Israel, the group could reorganize its forces on a much
smaller scale, or even move away from the Iran-led Axis of Resistance.DEAR FRIENDS. Some desperate Ukrainian armored forces are moving from Sumy, but they are moving under the radar of Russian intelligence, and it is clear that Kiev’s tactics will soon be humiliated again!
According to the latest news from the front, Kiev suffered heavy losses of personnel and equipment from Demidovka and Popovka. Russian military channels released a video on April 8 showing infographic images captured by Russian intelligence of a failed Ukrainian assault troops on the forest area around Demidovka. More images show bodies of Ukrainian assault troops strewn about after failing to hold out, badly battered by Russian fire in the battle to retake Demidovka. Russian forces countered the advance with innovative tactics, particularly through the deployment of advanced UAV units, capable of carrying heavy weapons such as tank mines, as well as special weapons designed to hit enemy personnel and equipment. One of these successful attacks had a significant impact, with the “explosion” described as devastating. In addition to personnel, one of the few American M1A1 SA Abrams tank, the Ukraine only remaining extra armor, was thrown into the fray. Special Forces "Anvar" showed their field laboratory in a video on April 9, about drone attacks on equipment and artillery strikes on Ukrainian infantry from the Demidovka and Popovka areas, when Ukraine tried to enter the Belgorod region last week. Around 150 officers in the Israeli Navy have signed a letter addressed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Security Minister Israel Katz, Knesset members, and military leadership, demanding an immediate halt to the war on #Gaza.

Published by Israeli media, the letter criticizes the government's failure to secure the release of 59 captives still held in Gaza, warning of "the dangers faced by soldiers, the harm inflicted on Israelis, and the unequal sharing of burdens." They further emphasized that "security decisions are being made based on illegitimate considerations."

Their message echoed a separate petition signed by 950 active and reserve fighter pilots refusing service, arguing the war on #Gaza "serves nothing but narrow personal and political interests" while draining the military.

Iran Nuclear Deterrent: Well-known political scientist, professor at the Univ of Chicago, John Mearsheimer
https://www.brighteon.com/b074483d-e6b4-4308-8228-1c766303558e

Well-known American political scientist, professor at the University of Chicago John Mearsheimer:'There is no doubt that Iran's nuclear weapons will bring stability to the region. If Iran had nuclear deterrence, the US or Israel would not be threatening to attack it right now. If other states in the Middle East besides Israel had nuclear weapons, it would be more peaceful.'

Fragile Agreements Can Not Stop Escalation In UkraineDespite the ongoing Russian and US efforts to deescalate the hostilities, the conflict in Ukraine is still marked by massive drone and missile attacks. The night of April 9, witnessed some of the most extensive cross-border strikes in recent months, with both sides reporting substantial interceptions and damages.According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian forces launched 158 aircraft-type UAVs across 11 regions. Russian air defenses reportedly intercepted and destroyed all of them, preventing any significant damage. The majority targeted the southern and western regions, as well as Crimea, along with maritime zones in the Azov and Black Seas. Notably, Ukrainian drones penetrated deep into Russian territory, for the first time reaching the Orenburg region – approximately 1,300 km from the frontline – where four UAVs were shot down. In Rostov region, Ukrainian drones reportedly targeted a power substation in Novocherkassk, which is another violation of moratorium on strikes against energy infrastructure. On the other hand, Russian forces conducted another large-scale drone attack on Ukrainian territory, launching 55 Geran-type attack drones and decoys from multiple directions. Ukrainian air defense forces claimed success in intercepting 32 of the incoming drones, primarily in northern and eastern regions. The Russian strikes targeted military logistics and production facilities across several key locations. In Kharkiv, precision strikes hit a military base with storage sites containing medical supplies and field hospital equipment. The strikes were followed by an attack on the local ASAL confectionery factory – repurposed as a military logistics center in the war-torn city. The city of Dnipro came under simultaneous strikes on a logistics hub and the steel plant, where Western-supplied armored vehicles were undergoing repairs, resulting in major fires across the industrial complex. An aviation sports club turned into a military maintenance site was struck in Apostolovo, where two civilian aircraft and support vehicles were destroyed.A devastating strike destroyed a suspected Ukrainian Special Forces position hidden near the residential areas in Kramatorsk. These developments unfolded against the backdrop of a crumbling “energy truce”. Ukraine has consistently violated this agreement with daily strikes on Russian energy facilities. While the Russian military is probably preparing to take revenge after the end of the truce in ten days. The conflict shows no signs of de-escalation, revealing the fragility of temporary agreements with the Kiev regime. Amid the significant geopolitical shifts around the conflict, Moscow and Washington are set to meet again for negotiations on April 10, while the United States is officially curtailing its presence in Rzeszow, a key logistics hub for supplying Ukraine in Poland, coupled with plans to halve its military presence in Eastern Europe.https://southfront.press/fragile-agreements-can-not-stop-escalation/

As a result, fuselage depressurization and a sharp pressure drop in the combat plane's cockpit occurred........................................................................ ******************************************************Support BORZZIKMAN :Become a Patron - https://www.patreon.com/user?u=22393167WebMoney:Z287850237751 (USD)E356280180033 (EUR)Bitcoin: 1Lv4nnM1ZJVW1GJMUeGMCZXPXz8xeKuGTfMirrored - BORZZIKMAN To survive what is coming, read/study: https://thewayhomeorfacethefire.net (https://thewayhomeorfacethefire.net/)https://christs.net/The Gibraltar Messenger : https://gibraltar-messenger.net/ ☒️ Iran Nuclear Deterrent: Well-known political scientist, professor at the Univ of Chicago, John Mearsheimer https://www.brighteon.com/b074483d-e6b4-4308-8228-1c766303558e ☒️ Well-known American political scientist, professor at the University of Chicago John Mearsheimer:'There is no doubt that Iran's nuclear weapons will bring stability to the region.

• Nigeria recognizes cryptocurrencies as capital assets according to new market regulations

Nigeria's new laws of stock market have begun declaring online currency such as Bitcoin as capital assets. This legislative change will help increase transparency and attract investments in internet finances.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has signed a new Investment and Security Act (ISA) by 2024, which cancels the old law established in 2007 (ISA No. 29).

The new law says all digital assets and related capital agreements will be considered as capital assets. It has also enabled SEC to control digital asset providers (VASPs), digital asset managers (DAOPs), and digital asset markets.

This means that any company dealing with digital assets must register with the SEC and follow its regulations. This step is crucial to eliminating scam services in the digital world, and boosting trust in blockchain innovations.

Director of SEC, Emomotimi Agama, praised the move, saying it would lead to increase in capital investments in digital assets.

Previously, Nigeria has started reacting with panic since internet currency started getting collected in 2015, after the fall of raw oil and Naira value.

Bitcoin and other internet currencies have become a refuge for many Nigerians, making Nigeria second in the world to hold internet currency, after America.

But the demand for internet finance has increased the number of Naira exchange and other fees. As a result, the Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has ordered banks to close all accounts related to internet currency.

Customers then return to business secretly, using direct transaction (P2P). Binance, one of the world's largest currency marketing companies, has changed its trends early, offering P2P services to Nigerian users.

President Tinubu as president ascends to power in mid 2023, he appointed Olayemi Cardoso as CBN governor, and the government has begun to slow down its position on internet currency, an indication that Nigeria is planning to change its way into digital affairs.

• Did you know that if 𝗣𝗢𝗰𝗼𝗢𝗻 reaches the same marketcap as #Bitcoin, this would mean that Pi will gain 256x from now on?

Many will say this is just a wet dream, but the 𝗣𝗢 π—‘π—²π˜π˜„π—Όπ—Ώπ—Έ community says this is possible in the future.

$Pi is very well distributed from the start and is well suited for every trader and holder. Many will not like this statement, but π—•π—Άπ˜π—°π—Όπ—Άπ—» also had a bad start, but Picoin is now here to solve this.

• *Quidax has indeed listed the compliant Nigerian naira (cNGN) stablecoin on its platform. This listing occurred on March 12, 2025, following a similar move by Busha, another provisionally licensed exchange.*

The cNGN stablecoin is actually issued by a consortium of Nigerian banks and fintech companies. cNGN Stablecoin can be swapped to WBNB, Binance Coin. *With this listing, users can now send, receive, and trade the cNGN Stablecoin with WBNB cryptocurrency and exchange it into a bank directly.*

WBNB stands for Wrapped Binance Coin. It's a wrapped version of the Binance Coin (BNB) that's pegged 1:1 to the original BNB token on the Binance Blockchain.

*Here are some notable blockchains that can work with Binance Smart Chain (BSC):*
1. Ethereum (ETH)
2. Binance Chain (BNB)
3. Cosmos (ATOM)
4. Polkadot (DOT)
5. Solana (SOL)
6. Polygon (MATIC)
7. Avalanche (AVAX)
8. Fantom (FTM)
9. Harmony (ONE)
10. OKC (OKT)

Additionally, Binance Smart Chain supports cross-chain bridges, enabling interoperability with other blockchains, such as
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Litecoin (LTC)
- Dogecoin (DOGE)

These bridges allow for seamless transfers of assets between different blockchain networks.
