The Cup and the Overflow: Are You Ready for More? I placed a cup under a running tap. It filled up quickly, and then—overflow! Water spilled everywhere. In that moment, a profound truth hit me: you can never take more than your capacity allows. We often pray for more—more success, more opportunities, more wealth—but do we have the capacity to handle them? A full cup cannot receive anything new unless it expands or is emptied of what no longer serves it. The same applies to us. Global opportunities won’t wait for us to prepare; they come to those already prepared. If we’re not investing in our skills, refining our mindset, and stretching beyond our comfort zones, even the best opportunities will pass us by or overwhelm us. So, ask yourself: Is your cup big enough for what you desire? Are you actively building the skills and networks required for your next level? Will you overflow and waste opportunities, or will you expand to contain and maximize them? Growth is intentional. Capacity is built, not wished for. If you want more, become more.
