The family of the detained Biafra nation agitator, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has accused the United Kingdom of aiding Nigeria in the rendition of their son, Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria.
Specifically, the family took swipe at the British Government for continually refusing to challenge the prosecution of Kanu in Nigeria on the ground that there is no justification for such trial.

A chieftain of the African Democratic Party, ADC, in Ekiti, Dare Bejide has warned against underrating the party, saying the party will spring surprises in future elections including 2026 governorship poll in the state.
Bejide who was a former Ambassador to Canada, said the party is fast gaining grounds in the country;s political space with the leaders of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, the All Progressives Congress, APC, and others coming out to join and identify with the party.

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, CDCFIB, has announced an extension of the application deadline for its ongoing 2025 paramilitary recruitment exercise.
In a statement released on Sunday by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. (Rtd) A.M. Jibril, the Board said the recruitment portal, originally scheduled to close on Monday, 4th August 2025, will now remain open until Monday, 11th August 2025.
