They identified a pattern of muscle interaction that develops in infants based on "exploratory" behavior. The movement techniques developed in the womb help them perform coordinated movements later in life. In the fetus, hundreds of neurons synchronize to control each muscle in the body, creating strong contractions that activate "sensors." Spontaneous movements, which don't have a clear task or goal, contribute to coordinated sensorimotor development. 👶👣
